  1. Ah okay, I won't disclose who was involved. But the incident was on Space Roller. I wasn't 100% on what was allowed to be said or not in regards to the incident. Cheers for that Dj. I wish the person involved a speedy recovery. And I hope that the people who did this get punished appropriately for there actions! Chances are the people were half drunk, brought a ticket and were refused entry. Despite there would have been signage saying "Riders will be refused entry if Intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. NO refunds" * Now... That is not what actually happened (as far as we know) but it could have just been one of the many scenarios.
  2. Knowing the operator in question I can't believe that these things can happen. It just shows what the world is coming to. I sincerely wish him a speedy recovery. I am actually not able to disclose what ride this incident happened on at this stage, but I will keep you updated.
  3. I think I managed to find the longest sentence ever in these forums! Seriously guys... Full stops and punctuation are your friend. On another note how the hell are Goldfish deadly?! And since when is Bermuda wild? I mean the ride itself isn't that spectacular, It's the theming that makes it great! And faster than MDMC? That can't be hard now can it
  4. From what is being mentioned by showmen that I am in contact with it actually seems to be staffing issues at the moment. It was one of the reasons a few major rides didn't show up at EKKA last year (Thunderbolt mainly) Now weather or not this is 100% accurate I don't know. But it's what has been going around lately.
  5. Yeah, the stuff they use in Queen Street is rather good, I'd much rather them have it in segments like sails than a full roof to be honest.
  6. I know the ride goes around 64kph on the launch, so if someone could do the maths And I also don't think S+S Power make Higher SpaceShot models, I think Batwing is the highest they build.
  7. Weather or not what Bikerman says is true, It doesn't seem too far fetched now. Considering the ride has been down for so long... all I can say is R.I.P eureka
  8. I think it will start where Stars Cafe ends, all the way upto the FujiFilm shop. But i'm not sure.
  9. That and it was a freaking expensive ride to buy, and because it's so huge and the ride experience is VERY intense. They can charge more for the experience. No limit was brought 2nd hand from Europe and was still around 1.5mill to buy minus the shipping costs. Another factor as to why it's so expensive is the nature of the ride means higher insurance premiums (this is the MAJOR reason the showmen have to charge so much for the rides is so they can keep up with the rising premiums) And not to mention fuel prices constantly on the rise etc.
  10. From what I have recently heard, the weather this season was only ONE of the reasons for the new roof. One of the other major reasons is to do with events. I can't say anymore but thats what I've heard.
  11. The Mine Ride will not be coming back anytime soon. You don't need to be "In the Know" as such to figure it out. It's been closed for nearly 2 years now and as Lotl_90 has stated, it's fully boarded up for almost a year and the stuff there is looking rather permanent. I'm really sorry to dissapoint you WWW_worker but your stories just don't add up. You can't expect people to believe what you say without proof. And i'm really REALLY doubting that Eureka will be opening any time soon if at all.
  12. The only way you would EVER wait 20 minutes for a ride at Aussie World is when the staff are running one of the other rides. This is when you go up to another ride and ask them to run the ride. If they aren't rostered on for that ride, they will tell you where to go and ask.
  13. I don't recall the Xmas holidays at Movie World being busy enough to warrant 1 and a half hour waits for Scooby etc. But then again, with rides like Superman and Batwing closed from the rain, this could have warranted it. I was also unaware that they would close off the line for scooby when it reaches 1 hour waits. Because from memory the whole queue house (excluding the old Gremlins overflow) could handle around a hour and a half of waiting.
  14. Well... technically Lethal was original, as it was the first design to feature the helix at the end
  15. There was never a Mad Mouse at Sea World, You must be mistaking it for the Galaxi (Thrillseeker) Which has been sold and travels as Taipan.
  16. I never thought I'd say this... But Vekoma has beat Intamin at something!
  17. You mean it's whole 7 meters? That would make for some spectacular views! It would rival Millenium Force or Top Thrill Dragster!
  18. Ah okay, I wasn't 100% as to weather it was permanent or not Gazza. I personally hope that Movie World may consider investing in these new trains in the future.
  19. Vekoma have already done that. But how well it works is unknown as the trains are only in use on one SLC (El Condor) at this stage.
  20. Maybe every 90 Degrees counts as a turn, considering most of them are 180 Degrees at least, this could be why. I'm just hoping now Motocoaster is classed as a Family Ride by the rankings, that we go back to the BIG FIVE Thrill Rides. Because the motocoaster REALLY isn't a thrill ride.
  21. I do like it though, but apparently the Cyclone goes "160kph in Seven Seconds!" But at least they have lowered the thrill ranking on the Motocoaster compared to rides like the Claw and Tower. It's a "Moderate Thrill Ride" and the rest are "Extreme Thrill Ride"
  22. As much as I'd LOVE to see a new show, I'm really going to miss PA. It was one of the few shows where I laughed every time I saw it. And it's been a part of Movie World for so long now, It's going to be very hard to replace it.
  23. I just went to check out the Dreamworld website, and it seems it's been rebuilt from scratch. I suggest having a look around.
  24. Theres a weight restriction now? But then again if your of a huge politically incorrect weight, and the harnesses don't close it could cause some issues
