  1. Yeah... at least if you want a booster bike type ride... Go with the company that has proven themselves in making a decent version of it. I'm sorry but the Intamin version is a pretty poor example of a rollercoaster...
  2. Wow... so Just because it is the same ride style except with Jet Ski's, not motorbikes. Dreamworld is now calling this a "clone"... that is pretty sad if it is true.
  3. I do know that if wind speed reaches a certain speed the fire effects in Bermuda stop running, And the fog in the "Anti Gravitron" area hasn't been running for a while... And in regards to the Vikings Revenge... I think some hooligans stole there lift hill Daniel "If you ride the Flume... Catastrophe is Imminent..." Harmer
  4. As far as food goes at Movie World, As Gazza has said Ricks does a great All you can eat buffet. However down at the main entrance you will find Stars Cafe, where they serve a MEAN Cobb Loaf for $12.95. From memory of working there a while back they have Butter Chicken, Chilli con carne, Chicken Caesar, Creamy Rattatoulie and Thai Chicken. These also have salad + wedges on the side and are very filling. They also have things like Croissants, Sandwiches and Foccacia's. Not to mention the mean cakes. Daniel "Still can't get the White Chocolate Mudcake out of my head from all those months ago" Harmer
  5. Elwin better not sell it! At least until after i've had a go on it...
  6. It seemed at first that he was implying he didn't ride it, but after reading over the post it does seem he was just too nervous to FILM the ride. And Tony... LOL.
  7. The Turbo is Currently sitting in a warehouse in Queenbeyan just outside of Canberra. There is no news right now on the state of the ride, or when it is expected to return. From what I have heard (unconfirmed) the ride is basically refurbished but why it isn't travelling I wouldn't know. But it is probably due to staff shortages which caused Bell's Thunderbolt ride to retire from the Show Circuit earlier this year (apart from doing the capitals)
  8. Wrong It's called dropping out! Not that I condone it... It was a huge mistake
  9. Hmm, cheers for the heads up. I will have to apply for that when I get home later tonight.
  10. Hmm, they might be smoothening out the ride a bit. Because if I remember correctly, the end of the big drop was quite abrupt. Almost like the ending of a water slide before hitting the pool. And coincidently it also looks alot like that Daniel "Prefers Bermuda Triangle to the Flume" Harmer
  11. Just by browsing random pages on Wikipedia, I stumbled across this video. It seems to be from the people that did the CG work for the ride. Featuring a crystal clear version of the on ride film.
  12. I noticed that yesterday, and I think they were only used during the Peak season. However I can not be certain.
  13. For me it's mainly the panel that is over your leg. About halfway through the ride it gets pushed down alot harder. It's caused leg cramps for me several times. And as you've said it's just plain inefficient, and I don't know how they could reach the 700 rider mark if it takes 5 minutes to dispatch a train.
  14. ^ Alex... your a bastard! But a funny one so it's acceptable But yes, that post made by jjuttp was VERY confusing... After about 1 line i just scrolled down.
  15. Well... it DOES increase the feeling of speed... The speed of you falling asleep!
  16. Cheers for the update! I will see if I can head down some time this week to get some photos. If not i'll be down next week.
  17. I just hope it doesn't end up like Motocoaster. If they wanted another motorbike (jetski in this case) ride, They should have gone with the Vekoma option.
  18. The skylink supports have huge floodlights on them that are used during night time events.
  19. Either that or the General Public are actually SMART?!
  20. But if they built a Nickelodeon themed ride, where could they put it? There isn't exactly much space left for expansion of that area. And the location between Nick Stuff and Tiger Island is not a option as that is reserved for WhiteWater World expansion. Also, they could have "Nightmares: The Hollywood Invasion" Where you spend a spine chilling 6 minutes on tour with the worlds most horid celebs. Featuring Tom Cruise throwing phones at you. And not to mention the entrance you walk under a giant Paris Hilton's legs! I don't think that one will happen in a hurry though
  21. Which is only a saving of around 15 - 20 dollars in the end.
  22. Why would they need a Pirate Ship type ride? Doesn't the claw basically do the same thing except spin?
  23. The claw makes you sick now? I just find the claw relaxing and fun. But the wipeout on the other hand... Also I don't know bout discounts but DW had 99 dollar passes around november last year for locals.
  24. Okay. I didn't end up going today as I've decided I want to head down on the 30th for the last ever PA show. I hope Scooby will be running by then. But I will call the park anyway on Wednesday to see if is or not.
