  1. Yeah, and interestingly enough, when the local media did attempt to cover the upcoming launch night and give the park some publicity, it was all focused around a celebrity rumour which turned out to be false
  2. I used the camera on my S6 ? Just have to have the right light to get them to turn out somewhat decent lol ☺️?
  3. Nope. Only hard copies. I ended up having to take photos of photos to get them online lol.
  4. Ahh sorry, my post with the pics was confirmation to AlexB's post above, where he was initially responding to yours. Sorry for the confusion @YLFATEEKS ?
  5. Lol, was wondering when they were gonna start decorating for FN, given the event is only 6 days away! Thanks @JaggedJanine ?
  6. Rich tourists? I'm not a rich tourist by far, let alone rich in general. I'm a local on a modest budget, and I didn't hesitate to purchase mine yesterday. Many others here have already done the same thing. I don't think that $15 for what is currently unlimited use over unlimited days isn't asking for much, especially when you get to keep the wristband. People are quite happy to pay the same amount for trivial souvenirs in the retail outlets, so what's the difference? This one just happens to make cool stuff happen in the park ? Besides, cheapskates can easily get free use of the interactive stations just by hanging around them. I gave numerous kids free turns yesterday with mine, because I'm a nice person ? @YLFATEEKS they are more like a plastic watch, with the RFID chip inside the logo bit ?
  7. Exactly @AlexB ? The fact the initial maintenance time was extended by 2 weeks, with the deadline being the very first day of the school holidays, clearly indicates to me that they took all the time they had left available to get it rushed open for peak crowds. Obviously the major work had been completed, but they have quite a few of the little things to sort out still. I'm sure they will ?
  8. Was about to say the same thing, to me it appears that the maintenance of the ride is still not completely finished. A couple of the effects mentioned not working today, were working a couple of days ago (Indian village smoke, horse trough splash) so not sure what the go is there, maybe just teething issues? I'm sure they also are intending to get the hologram up and running. I've also heard through the grapevine that apparently they have had problems with a water pump, and currently waiting for parts to come in. This may explain why the water on the final drop still isn't working. It must be hard for them to get all this stuff finished when its school holidays atm. Chances are once they are over, they will be able to focus on fine tuning it all so its working to scratch again
  9. Wasn't so much a complaint on my part about the load times, it's just that when there's technical difficulties with the VR, it can slow things down a bit. Especially when dealing with first time VR riders who don't quite get the calibration process for whatever reason, and need to be walked and talked through it. Pretty sure that's what happened with my last VR ride, but then again, it's not like I could see exactly what was going on whilst I had the headset on I know the staff there work to the best of their ability.
  10. You jump on the spot and it causes an earthquake which breaks things. I included footage of it in my video from last night up there ^ ? It's around the 11 minute mark.
  11. Whilst they are now more modern, unfortunately the update to the toilets hasn't changed the fact that some people are slobs. Went in there a couple of days ago and there was water and toilet paper all over the floor. Such a shame ??
  12. I'll just leave this here for anyone who missed it last night... ? ETA: me tooooo ?
  13. So glad to hear others are enjoying so much! I agree it's definitely well worth the money. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I could afford to ❤️
  14. Yeah, I have to confess that whilst my first VR ride was quick dispatch, the second time round was very slow. I was a single rider in the back row and had no issues putting my headset on and calibrated, but must have sat there in the 'treatment room' for at least a good 5 minutes, wondering what was going on outside in the real world? Eventually a staff member came up my way, and I was informed there were 'technical difficulties' with other riders' headsets which were causing the delay. It is still early days, however. I'm sure as time goes on, efficiency will become better and better and they will iron the initial problems out ?? One other thing I noticed second time round, but not first, is the ride audio playing from the train speakers. But it wasnt until the very end when batman showed up, as we were pulling into the loading dock. They may need to consider cranking it up just a little bit? ?
  15. Hopefully Janine has a video of a better angle to share, but you get the idea. (sorry this stupid tag won't budge lol-->) @JaggedJanine
  16. The steam jets were going on Doomsday ring tonight! Looked awesome. All full throttle now. Will upload a video later ?
  17. Apparently the usual front entrance of the stage show isn't being utilised. There's another entrance up the back somewhere.
  18. Glad to know I wasn't the only one who missed out on a call then, @westical?
  19. There aren't any noticeable changes to the ghost town. At least not that I have noticed, anyway. I was under the impression that they just fixed the existing town up and re-weathered it. It's mainly inside the mountain and the train crossing that the significant changes are.
  20. Following @themagician's earlier pics, I finally got around to digging up my pics of WWF just a couple of days prior to closing for maintenance as well, to compare to now. All taken with the same camera. The difference a good pressure hose and a bit of TLC can make is mind blowing, to say the least!
  21. I did too, after queueing for about half an hour at least. Damn school holidays ? Was good to see that they apparently intend to bring the hologram back at the first turntable, however it was a bit awkward to see it turned on today, but with the message "insert card" and a Brightside logo. Whoops! ? The water cascading down the final drop is still absent, it's currently a dry run down to the jets. The ghost town still has an effect or two inactive, like the population sign which appears to need adjusting. But I did notice a splash in the horse trough, which hadn't happened last time round. And the audio for the Indian village was playing as well. So definitely some improvements. Hopefully won't be too long until they get the bugs ironed out.
  22. Something very interesting is happening inside the second queue side of the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster castle....
