  1. 3 days to go!!! And good news, Santa Fe Icecream Parlour is reopening ?
  2. Pics from this morning of things which have since popped up since those other pics were shared, lol Sooo much going on in here atm!!!
  3. Some piccies from this morning. Will have more to upload when I get my Canon home later today ?
  4. I didn't think the new coaster's brand was still being debated after MW virtually gave it away themselves lol. But thanks for the further clarification ??
  5. Is this question posted twice? I swear I already answered it about an hour ago...
  6. They can do. I went to Fright Nights on Oct 31st last year, and waited with my friends for well over an hour each to enter each maze. Didn't get time to do rides since they finished by 9.30pm. Honestly I think you're better off investing in the Ultimate Terror Tour if you want to do as many rides and mazes as possible, as it includes fast track rides and mazes, amongst various other goodies ? And it's better value than the individual versions. Otherwise I'd be very prepared to wait lengthy times for mazes and rides by default. ETA: Here's a photo I took of the queue for Wolf Creek 2 last year, and this was about 20 minutes in. The line zig zagged from one end of the show stage to the other about 8 times, then snaked all the way back past Boot Hill. So yeah.... very lengthy wait.
  7. Ah, well there ya go. Just occurred to me as well that one of SDSC's emergency exits also backs into the Alley, and the Alley was recently open despite Scooby being open and operating at the time. I guess that dismisses that theory, then ?
  8. Yes, well, I can't confirm it's true by all means, it's just hear say. But the theory seems to explain the past changes. I guess we will just have to wait and see what they do with the area now as to whether the theory rings true or not? Since they are obviously working on it
  9. I don't know if that's possible anymore, @MickeyD. I've been told the reason why the Alley is closed to the public is because of Superman Escape's fire exits, which is why they changed the access path and entrance to LW when SE was built, and also why the Alley was open only when SE was down for maintenance. That said, and if it's true, I don't know whether we would ever see the same access path to Arkham via the Alley as what was previously there pre-SE. As it may be considered a safety hazard?
  10. Lol. That's the first thing hubby suggested when the crates were discovered. Maybe we are all excited over what it realistically just new parts for Scooby Doo, since it's annual maintenance period is coming up soon ??
  11. Had to postpone, unfortunately. Bit hard to explain, but we've have an unexpected urgent financial priority come up in the meanwhile in the form of saving for a house deposit for next year lol So we've had to put the holiday on hold for now. Definitely still keen on going once we've got the residency sorted out, though ☺️? I might still put our passport apps in, at least that way there's one major hurdle out the way!
  12. Have had the same thing happen, given we have an online savings account that we transfer money from when necessary. One time it caught us short, and we got slugged the overdue fee as well. I hate direct debit
  13. Lol yeah. Didn't want to take any chances whilst I was filming lol ☺️
  14. Neither. Sea World have been stating for a while now that the water park is permanently closed, and I've been informed by an official rep that it's not reopening. It will be demolished/bulldozed and replaced with something new.
  15. Multiple sources have confirmed a new parents room. So unless you're a parent, I wouldn't get too excited about it ?
  16. Yay! I love Poison Ivy ?❤️ From what I gather, and from what's been already placed in the area, its only the ones that appear in the advertising material: That said, the evil fella (Sinestro?) from Green Lantern is in the mix there, as well as Gorilla Grodd from the Flash, so it's definitely not restricted to just Batman & Superman villains. But the majority of them seem to be. ETA: found this list of DC Villians, if anyone is wondering who any of the above ones are and where they originate from. Heaven knows they have a heck of a lot of new options up their sleeve if they decide to expand on villain offerings lol ?
  17. 7 days to go!!! I'm so excited for the return of this attraction. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us
  18. I hope they do something soon in regards to the water park, whether or not it's involved with this talked about expansion. Here's some pics of it atm, as you can see it's pretty much just sitting stagnant until they follow up somehow. Must be frustrating for park guests who expect to have somewhere to swim when they visit. I can only imagine the incoming complaints over the summer months, especially given I was employed there during the time they were constructing Shark Bay (with the sharks temporarily housed in the swimming pools) and was bombarded with complaints whilst working the Hot Dog stand set up just outside. If people can externally see something like that, but can't use it during its prime period, they are gonna kick up a stink ?
  19. Haha. Might explain the 'staff meeting' going on at the entranceway of my vid as well, maybe they had just finished packing everything up that morning before park open?
  20. For those of you who don't follow my blog, I filmed a walkthrough of the area first thing yesterday morning as well:
  21. Wow, I'm a little sad to read the negative comments about the new Plaza. But then again, I did expect the usual critique as we all give new rides and attractions when they are added to parks, haha ? Personally I think it's absolutely amazing... especially when compared to its previous version, which I might add that I also previously worked within for a couple of years, so I knew it pretty damn well. I don't have a problem with the 'simple but affective' approach they have decided to take, the new facades are aesthetically pleasing to me. And I don't (once again, my opinion) really like the idea of a heavily themed eating area. But then again I haven't been to any theme parks overseas, and therefore don't have a bar already set in regards to expectations or comparisons. I can only judge going by the other parks we have here on the Gold Coast. Honestly I don't think the park is trying to compete or match the standards of anywhere else either, they are just going either what's best for them - a simple, modernised upgrade of a previously tired area - and in this case I think it really works. I think Sea World is definitely on the right track with improving their parks' existing areas, especially if it's assisting in providing more shade and shelter to the public. That's something the park has lacked for decades, and also caused big issues on rainy and bad weather days. It's likely only a matter of time before the food court up the top is upgraded as well to a similar standard. Well done Sea World from me ??
