Definitely considering it! Would be nice to go back and try the seafood boil up and this bacon that everyone keeps raving about ? I'm gonna see if I get the 30th off work, new work roster comes out tomorrow so I will know for sure then. If not, I'll try and squeeze another visit in on another weekend before the season ends ?

This is a bit confusing to me, because the lift Hill prior to the drop is completely enclosed. So for someone to have witnessed this from the queue area, the guy would have have to have been visible up the very top of the hill, just before the drop. Which begs the question how he would have gotten stuck in the conveyer belt, as at that (and after) stage there isn't any? If anything he would have just slid down to the bottom, or worse, fallen off the side. So I'm a bit sceptical as to how legit that comment is ? Unless maybe they were talking about the first mini hill/drop at the beginning of the ride. I guess that's possible...

http://www.mygc.com.au/man-hospitalised-falling-ride-gold-coast-theme-park/ 'A man has been taken to hospital after falling from a thrill ride at a theme park on the Gold Coast. It’s understood the man fell out of the Log Ride at Dreamworld around 3pm on Sunday and became stuck in a conveyor belt. The attraction was closed while the man was retrieved and treated by paramedics at the scene.' What the? How does this even happen??? ?? The only conclusion I can come to is that he did something he shouldn't have, like try to get out of the boat, or was rocking it or something ??

@Slick those photos are incredible!!! What sort of camera did you use to take them?? I'm seriously considering getting a professional camera, my S6 is great but does no justice when it comes to events like this lol ? Btw, is this you down in the bottom left corner? The angle of your photo above seems to suggest so ? Couldn't agree more!!! My group managed to get a ride on SDSC at the beginning of the evening, but that was only because we bolted for it as soon as they opened the rest of the park up lol. So they (I didn't go, had to wait at the exit as my son is still too chicken to go on it lol) were one of the first lot of people on ? Generally I have the same expectations as what Joz has said, and go to these events just for the experience. It's the best attitude to have in order to have the best night out ☺ Don't be like my sister and her boyfriend... they both ended up missing most of the parade because they were lined up for GL for nearly an hour! You can do the rides any other time if you have membership or annual passes ?

Thanks Ninja, it was a very fun night out! And yes, Superman was operating last night? Maybe that's why its not listed for Fast Track, because it's going to be down for some of Carnivale? I can imagine the complaints already if it was included in the list, yet not available on the night some peeps attend (and yet they hear stories about how it was for Fast Trackers on the other weekends) Either way, I really hope you enjoy your evening out too. Definitely worth the wait ???

Here's my video of the return lap of the street parade tonight, if anyone's interested : PS. That dude down front with the camera was really pissing me off, hahaha. PPS. Apologies if said camera dude just so happens to be anyone here ??? PPPS: Oh, just wanted to add that each to their own on the 'White Christmas is a joke' remark from earlier.... my family and I absolutely loved that last year too. One of the best nights we have ever spent there for sure! The buffet alone made it worthwhile. SO good ??? If you think the event is a joke, I can only assume that you're either not young at heart, or obviously don't have any kids of your own ?

Tonight was amazing!!!! I attended with my kids, my sister & her bf, and a work friend. Entered the park around 5.30pm, only had to wait about 10 minutes to pick up tickets, which was great. We all had such a fantastic time, absolutely loved the parade and managed to fit a couple of rides in as well. I had a soft shelled crab baguette which was really good ? My only complaint was that the lines for most of the stalls were pretty long. Originally I was gonna go for wedges or a slice of pizza, but then saw their lengthy queues and decided against it lol. Didn't have to wait long to buy a coke though, practically walked right up to the cart for that. My daughter was very happy to have gotten front row for Matt & Jess's performance later in the evening. She got a hi-5 from Jess as she walked off the stage, and has been buzzing about it ever since lol. Very impressed, was a great first experience and am considering going back again before the end of season. Would still like to see Samantha Jade perform lol ?? Well done from us, Movieworld ???

Wipeout yes, Tower of Terror no ? And consider yourself luckier, @XxMrYoshixX. .. my video above was filmed in 1996 and I was a teenager then! So I feel super old now, especially if you weren't even bloody born then either, hahaha ? I got to ride the Thunderbolt twice, once was in that home video and the other time was a couple of years prior, which also happened to be my very first rollercoaster ride. I walked off with what felt like a concussion and a cramp in my neck, hahaha ? Good ol' TB ❤ I miss it ???

Haha, or one of the worst I've seen if you're an elevator phobe like me. Yeahhhh no thanks! I find the one in Q1 hard enough to swallow when I do occasionally get dragged up there with family. The less I see, the better ???

I have to admit, as much as I love having unlimited entry to all the theme parks, one thing I do miss is the excitement that used to come with visiting them with my parents when I was younger Back then, it wouldn't happen very often, maybe once every couple of years, because entry was expensive for families, year passes even more so -back in the 90's I remember I got my MW one for around $150, and that was a half price deal So it was always a major occasion when it did happen... I'd be up for most of the evening prior because I was too excited to sleep lol. It was pretty much the same feeling you'd get on Christmas eve, then waking up Christmas Day The annual passes and memberships these days are awesome, they are so cheap that almost everyone can afford to have them. I love having all the parks as my second home and being able to visit them whenever I want. They are great boredom busters too, particularly on days when finances aren't the best, you have the day off work, and you don't want to sit bored at home. But yeah, I no longer feel that anticipation and excitement I used to feel because I visit so often. It's been made way too easy now lol. It has taken the initial thrill out of the visit. Does that make sense? Bittersweet, I guess you could say!!

I never said that TOT was the nail in the coffin, Brad. If you re-read my post I just said that it marked the beginning of changing into the park it has become today, where it has become loud, bold, and thrill ride orientated. Personally I still enjoy the park it is today. If I didn't, I wouldn't visit it anynore and I certainly would have a membership to keep going back. To me, it's just a different park that has, as Movieworld has also done, veered off in a very direction to what it started off in. I guess most of us just wish we could have kept both versions of the park, as opposed to one replacing the other. That's the only bit that really sucks to me ?

Awww, you're all welcome, guys!!! I'm so glad you've enjoyed watching it as I have with reminiscing about that day ❤❤ Haha, yeah the train ride where I am stuffing my face with a hot dog, hahaha ? Too funny! Although that's only one of many embarrassing things about that video... the good ol' 90s, eh? Worth overcoming in order to share some precious mutual memories with everyone, though ??? That train ride is pretty awesome though, I agree! Especially when it goes past the ol' water park whilst it was still in operation I loved all the peacocks and ducks they had wandering around randomly back then, too. Aw, that's no good. I remember we kept openly making comments during the unedited version of this tape about how my mum's ex partner insisted on filming nearly everything at the time, but I'm so, SO glad he did now! Otherwise it would have been a lot shorter video. Not yet, am about to check it out now though I know a photo of one of the animatronic koalas surfaced on facebook recently though, brought back a lot of memories seeing it ☺ As much as I do love the Tower of Terror, I sort of see that particular ride as marking the beginning of the 'new' Dreamworld, as it permanently changed the park in many ways - made it incredibly loud, divided the park with its track, forced original attractions to be relocated elsewhere and introduced that new ground breaking style of 'thrill' into the park that it thrives on today. Dreamworld was never the same after that ?
