  1. I remember it well. It was basically a guided tour through an old historic wooden house aka Albert Einstein's house from the movie, which was deliberately built on heavy angles as to make guests believe they were seeing the host and props doing weird gravity defying stunts (a rolling pin being rolled down a table, only to roll back up again is the one i most fondly recall) when really it was all just visual mind tricks. Even better, here's an old video 😁👍 https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1638481583125415&id=1636258723347701
  2. Yes, the Huracan is still standing and operating. I've recently pointed out the likely issue with limited parts availability on my blog, as I believe that factor may be playing a major role in reopening delays as well. Cheers, although I've never actually doubted that.
  3. Here's a pic I took of the Topgolf construction site today: Also looks like filming for Aquaman is in full swing now! They are clearly putting that swimming tank to good use today
  4. Checked it out today, and strangely enough there has been no obvious progress that I can see over the past week, unless it's all being worked on internally now. Hoped to check it out from the other side via the train, but unfortunately the Dreamworld Express wasn't running today for some reason
  5. Was there today for a couple of hours, but only the Eastern side was running.
  6. Since @themagician has already covered all the close-up shots, here's a few long distance ones I took today....
  7. @Skeeta Yeah. I don't think I've ever really been in a situation where I've been able to do that, sadly enough. The last $200 I recently managed to put away over a month ended up being used to buy Ariana Grande concert tickets for a certain 12 year old's upcoming birthday, as it's all she wanted for it. I've lost track of how many times I've started saving and then the car rego comes in, or the kids need forking out $$ for something, or we have to move house (as per last time round). Life sucks sometimes 😂😑 Anyways, didn't mean to derail, just wanted to clarify in advance against any scrutiny of why I think SE is the best rollercoaster in the whole wide world 😜
  8. In b4 you lol... well before. I shared this over a year ago! And yes, it is Justin, he stuffs around with voice-overs for a lot of the rides he works on to make them more interesting 😉👍
  9. Superman Escape. PS. Not everyone has had the privilege of going on an overseas holiday!
  10. Actually posted that here the other day lol 😉😜
  11. Saw this posted on Dreamworld's FB page just now and thought it was worth sharing... More confirmation that the Log Ride is definitely returning. But yeah, sounds like they may have finally decided on what to do with the Eureka Mine Ride as well 🤔 Haha yep I second that, I've ridden that thing and it's as rough as bloody guts. My poor 6" tall bestie also ended up with bruised knees, they collided with the restraint every time the thing bounced. Never again lol 😮
  12. They still open Kevil Hill over school holiday periods, though. So not really ideal as a storage spot either when they allow public access every 2-3 months, and subsequently upkeep the inside theming and what not.
  13. ^ this. Couldn't have said it better, myself, and wish I could give it more than one up vote! Cheers @themagician 👍👍👍
  14. Was only a matter of time.... Very tragic situation of yet we don't know the circumstances of, but saddened nonetheless
  15. Ditto. That corner of the park is so depressing in its current state, and it sucks that to do a full lap of the park, you have no choice but to walk through/past it all. I agree that Ardent need to pick up the pace and remove it all asap, even if they don't develop it straight away. At least that way they can also consider reopening the Log Ride again too, if its closure is indeed related to the fact that TRR is still standing. I'd also like to see them do something with the Vintage Cars. I check on it every time I visit, and they are just literally sitting there collecting dust. It may be far from a major attraction, but it's still another one crossed off the list atm. I'd love to see the park actively doing everything they can right now to get as many attractions open asap and as such, provide as many options as possible to guests. Whether Ardent are willing to financially and physically commit to that (as per my previous post) I'm not entirely sure.
  16. A little disheartening to read this article. I do believe that whilst the most dedicated of us locals are still visiting regardless, the lack of major new attractions (and as it has been pointed out, the loss of multiple current ones as well) is playing a part in the downturn in attendances. There's a lot less on offer than what there was originally, especially when rides are also experiencing unscheduled maintenance and extended delays in reopening. I mean we have five major rides down right now: TRR (which we know isn't coming back), Log Ride, Vintage Cars, Wipeout, and Tower of Terror II. That's a lot of rides for a park which is already suffering due to negative media attention and wavering faith by the public for their ride safety records. It's a rock and a hard place situation for Ardent, because whilst they have obviously lost a significant amount of money over the incident, they would also now be expected to invest a significant amount - similar to what VRTP are doing now) in order to draw crowds back. Ardent have never been ones to jump at the chance at expanding and improving in a major sense, they have always been cautious about spending their finances. This won't help the park now in this situation, and let's face it, they are only going to be even more reserved about it now that they have suffered a massive profit loss. I honestly am really starting to believe that a sale of the park would be in its best interests right now, so long as it's to the right investor who is willing to do the above at no additional financial loss to them other than purchase/development costs. I really think that this would be the easiest and best way for Dreamworld to make a full recovery and thrive in the future.
  17. Lol @Skeeta! Just one of the most turbulent designed pieces of track I have ever seen. Love it already 😂😉👍
  18. Yeah, the media are now releasing more info about the situation: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/national/polar-bear-cub-dies-at-sea-world/news-story/3a04c826a7e6acf3dbb0a1deecb94b57 Unfortunately it seems it was just one of those situations where one of the cubs became the runt and was rejected by his/her sibling and mum. Sea World tried to intervene in the end to help save them, but yeah, sadly they had no success Life can be cruel sometimes, especially when it comes to survival of the fittest
  19. Closure and reopening dates have been removed altogether from the maintenance page now Hopefully it's still reopening by the end of this week...
  20. Say what??? 😮 My fave maze has been the Conjuring 2, as I've said before I loved the progressive storyline aspect of it, seeing the girl start off looking somewhat normal to begin with, and gradually becoming a possessed freak by the end. The sets were just awesome too. That creepy kitchen with the vibrating knife table, the swing set, thunder and lightning, evil voice demanding everyone to get out lol... and that was just at the beginning! Loved it 😆👍
