  1. Does anyone have an email for Wonderland that they will actually respond to? I sent them an email asking about some of their educational programs about 2-3 months ago and got nothing back in reply. Not even an email to say that they recieved mine. It definately went through because I haven't recieved a bounced email yet. What is their problem!!!!!!!
  2. I'm Millenium force. Apparently it contains great inversions!!! I like Chang the most out of that particular selection. LOL Nice little quiz.
  3. I went to Disneyland on a school tour so you can imagine 30 teenage boys singing It's a small world after all for 1.5 hours till we got there only to be dissapointed because it was closed for annual maintinence
  4. I went on the EuroDisney version and it was really weird (Aside from being in French) The que area began in a ranbom setting of different SciFi characters then you went into the airport terminal thingy.
  5. The problem with Luna Park is its location. They had a decent coaster (Now cyclone) but too many local residents complained about the noise (idiots they decided to live next to the theme park thats been there longer than they've been alive.) So Luna Park cant really compete with wonderland even if the competition is slack as when it comes to new attractions
  6. IMO with this marvel contract I think that Wonderland Sydney should build a replica of the Hulk at Islands of Adventure. I mean if Wonderland is going to close down (I Doubt that very much) why not go out with a bang and just spend spend spend!! But thats just MO
  7. I remember when I was 4 my second time at wonderland and my dad dragged me kicking and screaming onto the beastie. I loved it so much when had about 50 rerides since I was too small for the BB. My mum will ride the corkscrew at seaworld but it ends there. She wouldn't even ride the thrillseaker! My Stepfather rides anything and everything. Like your mum mx5_boy he's in his fifties as well
  8. I think when it comes to coasters themeing makes a huge difference. Nemesis, Spacemountain ED and Scooby Doo are all good examples of how good themeing adds to the thrill of the ride and the enjoyment level
  9. Yeah I saw enough rope. Im not the biggest fan of Steve Erwin but watching that interview made me see he can be a pretty funny guy. Man after hearing what he said I hope he has a boy.
  10. Just a quick note to add to thunders post. There are actually 3 people responsible when an aprentice or junior (i.e unskilled) worker is injured. The third being the master builder responsible for the aprentice/junior. It is their responsibility to teach all the OH&S to their student. (I know this because I began a building apprenticeship a few years back but dropped out cause it sucked)
  11. I dont have fox so i wont be able to see it! Im ssoooo jealous
  12. I was just flicking through this months foxtel guide at work and came accross a small ad at the bottom of the page for a show called Thrill Rides its on at 9.30pm Monday October 27th on the discovery channel for all you lucky people with foxtel (i havent got it! ) The pic looks like seaworlds corkscrew.
  13. Bummer about Nemesis there Joz but at least the rest of the park is pretty awesome. Which Disneyland were you at the few days beforehand?
  14. Not your problem. I got to see them though but I had to open them one by one.....
  15. Sorry Liam but those photos are way too big my stupid PC cant load them! I just time out
  16. I was going for in general but I suppose it would be better if you have ridden it. Keeping that in mind the best coaster i've ridden is Space Mountain in Euro Disney. Excellent themeing, triple inversion and the best launch sequence ever! For a coaster that I havent ridden it would have to be Jokers Jinx/ Poltergeist. They both look awesome. But any of the Busch Gardens coasters or IOA coasters would be awesome as well
  17. I'd like to know what everybodys favourite roller coaster is. (this is inspired by the texas tornado forum) but also if they have tried to replicate it in RCT2. We could upload them and have a peak at everyones attempts at their favourite coaster. Just for a bit of fun
  18. I dont kniow about all of you guys but to be honest show rides really scary me. Think about it they're dismantled and rebuilt every few days so the ppl doing it must get pretty sick of doing it. And some of the ppl running some of the rides look a bit dodgy to me. Not all of them just some. They also make so really loud and unusual noises which send chills down my spine. To be honest the only show ride I feel truly safe on is the jumping castle because its nice and soft . At least in a theme park the rides are perminent and have maintinence crews looking after them constantly. I mean look at the BB they must be doing some major maintinence on it for it to be out for this long.
  19. Not entirely true their Richard I remember (it's probably been decommissioned now) a looping coaster that was at darling harbour and the royal easter show one year called the python loop. (I think) It was really small with a small loop. I remember riding it and it was really really rough.
  20. You also need to remember that they have to prove that the million is actually in one of those bottles. How they r gonna do that I have no idea but they have too or it would seem too shifty.
  21. I've always liked the look of it as well. But my favourite would have to be poltergeist/ jokers jinx. I do know that the texas tornado used to travel on the show circuit in Germany. Can anyone confirm this?
  22. At Euro Disney thhe Indy is a backwards coaster. Which ain't bad
  23. There was a ride at the canberra show this year like the rainbow. Me and my friends went on it. It was a bit ruff but worth it! I think it was called the Music Maker or something like that.
  24. I think in general Disney does a pretty good job themeing their parks. They've been in the business for quite a while. Walking into a Disney park is like being transported to another world. If you have a look at the book Imagineering which is availible at Disneyland to buy it shows how much detail and effort goes into their parks. From models to 3d graphics everything is detailed and well palnned. Well thats my opinion anyway feel freee to disagree.
