  1. Actually Alex those pylons you see there are from the de-construction of the old Wharf stage , long long long before that scaffolding stage was set up for the Saturday session indeed. Remeber the old wharf stage?? In front of the big ship..That is what you see. I know they are blurry but I didn't think they were that Blurry..These pics were taken when they had to remove the stage including all of those pylons that you see there. These pics are from either from 2000 or 2001, I am trying to find the negatives to see what other photos I took at the same time with these ones to get a more exact date.
  2. I have some photos from when they drained the lake. Which they dropped about 6 meters, if you look at the edge of Lakeside you can see how much it was. I got my digital camera and took photos of the photos untill I have the chance to scan them. So here they are in all their crappy goodness.
  3. Once again, I hate to say it but Bus is 1000% correct. There has never EVER been an evacuation from the Boomerang. There once was an evacuation from the area between the Boomeramg and the Loop back in about 97 or 98. Which is about the closest. I never said you were working there, but once again, I am just so impressed with your knowledge. What exact fail safe would u be refering too? Are you talking about that pedal sensor too???? If you would want a train to potentially stop somewhere you would put some brakes there. Brakes on roller coasters are designed so that if they fail, the fail closed, not open. So if there is a lack of air pressure or power failure or anything else, they will always stay closed, so the idea that there would be an even greater potential for a train to get stuck in the boomerang seems utterly ridiculous to me.
  4. Hey Alex there was a winch on Lift 2. If the train ever got stuck at the top of lift 2, they would attach the winch to the train at the top, lower the lift chain away from the train and then slowly lower the train down to the brakes at the bottom of lift 2 where the guests would be taken out of the train. The train would then be winched back up to the top of lift 2, released and allowed to run its course back into the station.
  5. Bussy is absolutely 1000% correct ( i saw this train in the boomerang and watched them try and remove it ) I am very impressed with his knowledge..Indeed considering it happened a couple of years before he even commenced his employment there....
  6. Hey Paul the open date for wonderland was 7th Dec 1985
  7. Zoe originally came down as his PA. He also brought down Mary McTaggart who was Operations Manager before she went over to Sunway. Also Dustin Lockett who was sales & marketing

    Wonderland RTC3

Its goin ok today.......My computer has been so slow recently so I fiddled around with it and sped it up. I have done some more today actually..Layed out some more of the park..Put a few buildings in, and modified the Terrain so that Demon/Probe and HB Land are all uphill, and Goldrush is downhill..I will chuck some screen shots on here tomrrow. I also have put some trees and stuff around Transylvaina so that it sorta looks finalised so the screenshots look better.

    Wonderland RTC3

yeah its a real bastard to create accurate hills n stuff, (thats why the demon looks funny cuz it aint up on the hill) so at the moment i have just layed the park out flat, and have done bugger all landscaping or anything

Bugger..What a waste of time, for anyone actually interested here is some screen shots thus far
  13. He took from the Gold Coast, some of the best theme park minds around. Michael Croaker and Andrew Cole were both excellent, and knew there craft very well. LOL ..Michael Croaker a great theme park mind...gimme a break. The man was an MC at Sea World , and anyone who knows him knows how much a a dead *#@* he was, how he had no idea and was pretty full of himself. Andrew Cole did not do an awful lot for Wonderland. however there was one consultant that Steve did bring down on a regular basis who was a very wise head and did plenty for the park. ...

    Wonderland RTC3

Is anyone making a Wonderland for RCT3. I spent abou 8 hours laying it out today and it is poo, there is not enough room to make it in Sandbox mode. So I have cramped it into a crappy amount of Space
  15. It all ended up becomming themeing for Goldrush. It was used to build the tunnel at the entrance to Goldrush as well as the Tunnel that they built around Snowy. The plane sat out the back in the Graveyard, and is still there now no doubt.
  16. Tazmainian Devil WAS a transportable ride, that they permanently attached to the ground but dodgems definately was not.
  17. Actually the security camera on the Space Probe was extraordinarily good when it originally worked. One could read a number plate on a car going through Maccas on the M4 up the road. You could also spy on the pesky ride operators picking his/her nose and talking on the headsets at T3 at Snowy. For those of you who thought they were alone there....
  18. Every thing that Ruddegar said in regards to the Lever and Buttons for Bush Beast is 100% correct. Obviously, he had worked there for quite quite sometime to have remembered having the ops panel next to the back row, as it was only there for a matter of weeks.
  19. The Park was part of a consortium headed by Paramount Studios (Kings Entertainments Group) and it was also backed by the NSW Govt Super Scheme and also James Hardie (I don't know of any other backers of the Park but I definately know these three did) I have a feeling that Kings got out in the late 80's and that the rest got out when they sold to Sunway in 1997 I know that 7 day trading co-incided with the sale to Sunway as they both happened around the same time. Also, James Hardie wanted to get out of Australia (if you have been watching the news recently you would understand why)
  20. Its pathetic that you same old boring cynical operators are still have the same old tired arguments about staffing levels, rotations etc etc etc..This forum sounds like it has become the virtual Wonderland canteen. Its funny that nothing has changed, there is so much mis-information floating around about all sorts of things and you people take Wonderbus's word as absolute gospel..from what I read none of you REALLY know much at all, there is just so much pathetic here-say, rumour and personal analysis. You people cant air your dirty laundry in the canteen anymore so why not do it online instead. Get over it the place is closed, why not talk about your real jobs that you have now, it was the sort of cynical attitude that is being brandished by ex employees on this very forum, that is what made Wonderland so bad..Don't blame management...have a look in the mirror first
