  1. I didn't see that stand on Friday night! Makes me glad I went on Friday night and not last night. Wonder if they had the same same crowd reaction at Wet'n'Wild Sydney on Friday night.
  2. From what I understand they were also doing that yesterday.
  3. Any chance we could focus on the issue at hand?
  4. Correct headline for this article is "News website struggles for articles on slow news day". Surprised there wasn't a story posted about Easter Eggs being available in stores.
  5. "amazing range is slides and pools" Great work proof reading there!
  6. They would never work as a free to play attraction. Low capacity combined with high park numbers would mean more pissed off people having to wait than you would get being happy they are free to use.
  7. Just do the usual traffic lights on a roundabout thing Queensland likes to do and call it a day as an easy fix.
  8. Still don't get how the Sydney park can do 10am to 8pm daily through summer peak and the Gold Coast can't. Given the weather in South-East Queensland of late it would seem in their best interest to match the Sydney parks opening hours.
  9. As most people have been to a park once or twice this year and some further than others thought I would ask what everyone would consider their favourite coasters for the past year. It is entirely up to you if you rank them from 1 - 10. In no particular order my 10 favourites for this year are Twisted Colossus Superman Ultimate Flight (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom) Tatsu Medusa (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom) Matterhorn Bobsleds (Disneyland) Gold Striker (California's Great America) Superman Escape Joker (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom) Flight Deck (California's Great America) X2
  10. If you are around the Arkham courtyard area the sound of it running is a bit of a giveaway.
  11. I would be likely to use it if they had a major park and ride at Helensvale. Offer secure parking and a return trip on the cable car to Sea World as part of the parking at Helensvale and I would leave my car there and take the light rail/cable car combo. I wouldn't have an issue with paying something like $20 for the parking and cable car combo, obviously light rail would be a separate ticket.
  12. That pink skull totally fits in with the Creatures of the Deep in the background! Did anyone actually put any thought into the placement of things. Sure this might be a visible high traffic location but it doesn't fit in with the surroundings at all.
  13. Lethal Weapon used to do fine with two trains and one load platform, proof that you don't need two stations for things things be kept moving at a decent place at a park here. Even Cyclone would improve in operations if they added another block section and train. So long as the time out on the track is greater than what you can unload/load/dispatch a train two trains and one station will never have a negative impact on operations, only a positive.
  14. Missing something else that only one of their night time events offers... Sunday nights. Friday/Saturday doesn't work for everyone so having the option of a Sunday night for White Christmas is great.
  15. Parking hasn't really been an issue there @Slick, it is the clusterfuck that is getting back to the M1 that I have found to be the worst thing.
  16. An "exiting" announcement? Tom needs to double check what's written before posting.
  17. It can be seen in this photo, think long since removed. Basically the drop without the fun of the big drop or the loop itself. http://www.parkz.com.au/photo/4781-AquaLoop/gallery/sort/newest/location/ride-1251-AquaLoop/offset/13
  18. Technically it has started being built this year. If he said opened this year then I could see a problem with what was said. Also sounds like it might not be the only one they have being built with more appearing around the world. Good to hear in true style it is a customised coaster and not just a off the shelf and call it a day effort.
  19. That wifi network name kinda makes sense if they need one for that area of the park.
  20. Come with me next time I go to the Sydney park and I will pay for you to join me on the SkyCoaster @AlexB. Gold Coast one doesn't really interest me as much due to being somewhat smaller in height.
  21. If you can't think of anything to say then don't post anything. You don't have to post to show you're thinking about something.
  22. Think it may be safe to say now it is an Austin Powers themed coaster based on that.
  23. Would seem I do @AlexB that being said I would be wearing shoes and have a full on backpack for my camera when visiting the parks. Anyone who talks down the attendance figures is clearly an idiot. Being so close the Christmas there is already a lot happening for people (Christmas parties, shopping, etc) the numbers they got aren't that bad especially considering the park isn't in full operation.
  24. Not sure if you are suggesting that's me in that photo @AlexB but can say that is isn't me as I was unable to visit over the weekend due to work.
