  1. Image shown is what the park really needs and a shame there doesn't seem to be any plans to actually build it.
  2. It isn't as difficult as it sounds. Your brain focuses more on the VR and the game than what is coming as far as the ride goes. The forces from the ride compliment the VR and don't add any difficultly to processing what's happening to you. The VR experience looks similar to New Revolution at SFMM with a few updates due to being newer. Personally prefer the VR on Arkham to the VR on New Revolution. It might not have the game interactivity but I would rather have the VR suit the existing ride instead.
  3. All depends on where the house sits in relation to land ownership as to what happens with it. Given how far the house is from the main areas of the park it is highly unlikely it will be used for the development.
  4. Sounds like the Gold Coast Bulletin discovered RCDB. Does this really need to be it's own topic instead of being posted in the one that already exists?
  5. The area seemed somewhat busy today when I was there briefly. The $15 is unlimited use of the area and not just a single day use @pushbutton. Will be heading back there this weekend to have a proper play around due to being limited by time today (took 45 minutes longer to get there than planned due to traffic).
  6. Flash Pass varies depending on which park you are at and the $600+ price is for an annual Gold Flash pass (eg SFMM is $800 full price) which is around 9 visits then you start saving money. Good idea personally and something I would have if I was a park local there. Personally think the setup they have at parks other than Movie World (Dreamworld/Wet'n'Wild Sydney) is much fairer in that you still have some form of wait instead of just walking straight on. Dreamworld's isn't that expensive. I agree in saying unless you are going during a peak period I personally wouldn't bother with Ride Express.
  7. Find something else which no one has any idea about and debate over it like we all have some idea what it is. As for what I think it is, going to say a steel coaster of some sort and a somewhat long/big one based on the area they are working with. Doesn't look to be a done in 30 seconds like Superman is.
  8. Now you can't go expecting US style operations here where the next group is boarding before the last group has completely left the station. Personally think 3:30 for a cycle (from air gate opening to gate opening again) would be the absolute best we can expect with 4 minutes being an acceptable average. As for the second train personally think if they were going to do it they would have already done it by now.
  9. Can confirm some headsets seem to calibrate easier than others, I had issues with getting mine to load when I experienced it early last week yet the person next to me had no problems. The capacity of the ride was killed when they changed it to Arkham so given most people would expect a long queue now the VR wouldn't seem to me to have as much of a negative impact than it would if it was running two trains.
  10. Good to see the town centre finally beginning construction. Can see many days of visiting a park then a short drive to relax watching a movie. As for the accommodation there really isn't much in the area so can only see it as a positive.
  11. Think the random comment was in reference to the non-enthusiast talk @reanimated35
  12. Assuming it is a hypercoaster is a launch mid-ride really needed when based on existing hypercoasters it would reach a speed of over 115km/h? As for a lift hill mid course after a launch. Seems a really weird thing to do when you consider you would have to kill off all the speed before starting the incline if you use a traditional chain lift.
  13. Guess it is all due to position of the chin "strap". Mine wasn't in the best of places at first but moved it closer to my neck and didn't have an issue with it feeling loose.
  14. We have enough coasters with launches, would like to see a traditional lift hill. Nothing like the suspense of cresting the hill before the first main drop especially if it is a decent drop following the lift.
  15. I am still confused by the Mick Doohan connection, are we joining him to fight aliens? This sounds a hell of a lot like what The New Revolution has and if it is the same/similar I am sorry but compared to what Movie World are doing with Arkham it will definitely have the view that @AlexB has made of being a half assed attempt. I personally think the idea of a motogp themed VR of you racing other riders on a track would have been a much better choice. I know I would be more likely to try that.
  16. I didn't notice any sound playback but it seems like there should be.
  17. I don't have any photos but was surprised to see the EAS gates themed instead of being left their boring clear look. Rode it again on Sunday and find the load procedure interesting with the use of the board to help with availability of seats. Noticed the middle seats have a height limit of 170cm due to the floor which means I won't get to ride that row again. Looking forward to seeing how the whole area looks like on the weekend.
  18. VR is testing and it is a case of luck of the draw if you get to experience it (people are chosen at random). I will say it does fit the theme of the ride really well and better than what Six Flags have on The New Revolution. Didn't notice any real difference in load times for the ride and the headset setup here is more comfortable than what I experienced on New Rev. It is definitely something I am looking forward to doing again.
  19. Would be nice to see a White Water West Whizzard go in. I found that you pull some serious g-forces in the helix.
  20. Recall paying around US$12-14 at Knotts for chicken tenders so pricing is standard for a theme park. No one is forcing you to eat there @bladex
