  1. So not only does the Sydney park get better summer trading hours they get a better deal with movies. They have "Cinema in the Sand" from 8pm on Friday/Saturday nights in January and it is free with park entry. The four movies they have remaining for this month are Step Up 5 (15th), Planes (16th), Blended (22nd) and Big Hero 6 (23rd). Have also seen Oddball and Minions mentioned as being shown. Depending on schedule I may stop in on the 23rd just to see how they have it setup.
  2. Do it like Dreamworld did for Q4U before mobile was an option, have a number reserved for online purchases. Even if Dreamworld had sold out of in park rentals there was still a chance of one being available online.
  3. Last visit for me they were running two trains with the five staff setup. Might as well have only one on the track as it sure wasn't any quicker!
  4. Would seem Surfrider is a seasonal attraction now. Can understand water related attractions but a coaster being seasonal when the park next door has multiple that run most of the year.
  5. Now they just need to make it a permanent thing during summer and actually advertise it.
  6. Would ask why it would take the visitors and not share them but it is a Limited News article. The Gold Coast isn't really somewhere you go to visit Sea World or Movie World and neglect all the other parks or attractions. The only way they will take profits from the existing parks is if they were stupid enough to go even cheaper than the basically free price the currently being charged.
  7. Is it even possible, I would have thought 4-5 would be the maximum you could do.
  8. Given how Arkham is run if it is busy you may be unfortunate to only get one maybe two rides in.
  9. Clearly drilling for gold to be able to fully fund everything without having to borrow money.
  10. No more illegal than a cinema or a restaurant and those are family friendly places. Only time it is illegal is if they don't have a liquor license or if the person has had too much to drink and they keep selling alcohol. You will find most Australian parks are licensed to sell alcohol for the duration of opening plus outside of operating hours to cater for functions and events.
  11. The Cyclones original entrance was more prominent than what it ended up being after the addition of Red Line. Somewhat similar to how it looks now
  12. Great to see Dreamworld looks to have gone with the new style Vekoma trains. Still think Movie World should have done the same with Arkham and gone the new style SLC trains (then they might actually be able to run two). Looking at the photos the area looks good, going to wait until I have seen it in person until I fully judge it. Now to wait and see what the food options are at the "new" outlet.
  13. The customer is NOT always right. Stupidity and ignorance are no excuse for being in the wrong and have no issue on calling people out on it.
  14. Nope, park there all the time now. Much quicker at getting out.
  15. After looking at pricing for Flash Pass at Six Flags Magic Mountain the pricing here is quite reasonable.
  16. I don't see any "hatas" or anyone who is mad. Just a couple of people who had a swing and a miss when it came to a joke.
  17. Amazing how one park can have such polarising views. Seems to be no middle ground.
  18. Well Movie World is a Coke park XD
  19. Personally the buildings aren't looking that bad from those photos. Don't know what people expect to see. As for repainting the track, would have been nice to see but if they have spent the money elsewhere on something more worthwhile I don't have an issue with it not being repainted.
  20. Taylor was one of the actors middle name.
  21. Taylor? I don't mind that "Birds 2016" song of theirs!
  22. Will say Superman had a stupidly long queue for the length of it. Two trains but the rate they were loading they may have just been running one. Will agree with the approximate 45 minute queue quoted at the entry. Outside of that it was a great night. Was late seeing the parade due to Superman. The floats look good but the river boat one is kind of confusing and doesn't really fit in. Didn't do the food option or extra tour. Arrived yesterday at 4pm and they were issuing wristbands so if you want to spend a bit of time in the park before the event would suggest arriving after 4pm. As for parking they had people directing traffic at the last intersection, parked where I usually do at the far end so unable to say if it has helped exit times.
  23. Went to Movie World today, around 10 minute wait for Arkham and less than that for Batwing when I got there at 4pm. If it was peak I would expect the queues to still be longer even at that time of the day.
