  1. I must have really lucked out on the day I went as all the towers had a staff member for each side plus one of them had a staff member purely for tube distribution from the conveyor. Getting in was just as easy as there were at least 4 staff at the entrance gate. Would not say the park was understaffed at all. This was also one of the first weekends they were open for the season so it was still what they consider "off peak".
  2. Must have been a bad day as my visit was great. One of the first Sundays of the season and reasonable lines, didn't notice the lack of shade too much. Hired a locker so didn't notice the car park surface issue. Only problem I encountered was being a single rider made one of the towers a bit difficult to go on due to two and three person tubes, all others were run as well as I would expect. Mine was also a first time visit, went to the Gold Coast park a few days later and found I didn't enjoy it as much after visiting Sydney.
  3. From external fast food operators found at any decent shopping center? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwSts2s4ba4
  4. If you're nice @AlexB I'll get a better photo for you on Saturday if no one else has before then.
  5. Well all that we are seeing is bulk development applications at the moment. Think it is a case of wait and see if they are approved. Will say just because something is approved doesn't mean they will start work immediately either, White Water World has expansion approved with extra slides and stuff and nothing has happened with it since. Really anyone's guess as to when they will start any of the developments. Will state the obvious and say I can't see it all going ahead at the same time and will be over a number of years.
  6. No photos Nitro? Interested in seeing what the new train looks like. As for new attractions next year, doesn't necessarily mean a ride or rides. Attraction is a very broad term to use.
  7. You're not the only one who is more interested in the food options than what is being added around the food outlet.
  8. Don't know about anyone else but that link is taking me to a DA for somebodies place who is adding a carport and garage extension so I am going to say based on what I am seeing good chance it isn't related to the coaster.
  9. Somewhat sure if you organise it with the park you can go there after hours with it looking like that. There is a cost involved however.
  10. Don't think we will see anything Lego park or discovery centre in Queensland until some time after the Discovery Centre in Melbourne opens.
  11. Luna Park Sydney has recently been added to Google Street view.
  12. Haven't Dreamworld kind of done this with Boost. Sure they may be slightly higher than out of the park but still reasonable. I have no issue with paying 50c-$1 more of a meal option from a chain outlet in a park but with the parks trying to focus on quality of in park offerings I am going to say leave them doing what they are at the moment. If the food was absolute shit then I would be all for bringing in outside "help".
  13. When I was at Wet'n'Wild Sydney I had the pizza from there and will say it was similar to what Dreamworld now serve at Dough Bros and well worth the price when purchased as a combo. If the product is decent I have no issues paying the price.
  14. Found that to be crazy hot the other week when visiting. Did notice in Sydney the paths weren't as hot as the Gold Coast park.
  15. 2015 - Luna Park Melbourne - Luna Park Sydney - Wet'n'Wild Sydney - Sea World - Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast - Movie World - Dreamworld - Aussie World 2016 is still in planning stages but not entirely sure. Do want to get over to Adventure World.
  16. Don't get the odd operating hours of the parks in summer. Wet'n'Wild Sydney today was open 10am to 8pm and it isn't peak period yet. Surely as we head into summer the water parks could stay open until 10/11pm that Wet'n'Wild sees in Sydney over the peak summer period.
  17. Can confirm from a visit last Monday the all the effects were working (sans steam). Good to see them running both trains (expected being school holidays) and the queues are short. My visit had a hour queue and managed to single rider jump at least 30 minutes of queue. Attendant at the entrance was warning those hiring a locker the queue was over a hour before they hired or entered the queue after hiring. Surely the park would have some control over the lockers and be able to extend the hire duration when the queues are longer than the short term hire period.
  18. Something from Rocky Mountain would suit the park well. Doesn't matter if it is wood or steel. Biggest possible issue would be potential cost as they don't seem to be cheap.
  19. Would be an odd spot for water guns, thinking sideshow game more than anything.
  20. This has me wondering what an SLC with the new style Vekoma trains would be like. Yet to venture away from the east coast but would have to say obvious choice is Superman,
