  1. Go with a friend. Whilst going alone has its perks it just isn't as fun when you are there by yourself.
  2. "Forever alone" seats are the best, especially when jumping a large portion of the queue.
  3. This thread title sounds like something that should be in a "yo dawg" meme!
  4. I too am interested on any progress but know the person involved in organising things has been busy with another more important "project" of late so can understand if not much has happened.
  5. VIP ERT is only on Saturdays and the ride that has ERT changes each month.
  6. Sounds like the kind of party Bender would organise, only it lacks blackjack!
  7. Sounds like how Dreamworld would build a SLC, minimum capacity then push Q4U to beat the long lines!
  8. The way Aussie world is going the GC parks need to look out and not the other way. (null)
  9. Clearly it is being based on "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Only Tim Burton is insane enough to do a movie like that and I am sure some of the things in it would get screams!
  10. The poll is an open and public one so simply clicking view next to the option will bring up who has voted for what. (null)
  11. There is no way movie world would theme a Halloween attraction based on a game! Oh wait, they already did successfully. So what's to say that wasn't a test run for a full ride theme? (null)
  12. Would work if the maintenance bay wasn't next to the second brake run.
  13. One question is how many would vote Corkscrew above Sea Viper if they were seperate options.
  14. They also seem to be very popular amongst enthusiasts going by the results of the wood coaster poll this year.
  15. Personally if Dreamworld were going to go something like B&M or really major they would have done it for their 30th. Interesting thing with Movie World is where rides would be placed. Not only is there residents that need to be considered there are also the studios. Noise from Lethal Weapon has been known to cause issues in some of the sound stages so a wooden coaster near them would need some noise control measures. I think everyone would like to see a wooden coaster at one of the parks.
  16. I am sure if you are going to build something in or around a exisiting structure you would go and survey the area to find out exactly what it is you have to work with. You cannot simply go putting things in or around an object without first seeing if it is going to fit before going to the cost of installing it. Using old survey measurements would be pointless especially given how long it has been since the ride was installed. It might not seem it but the area will have changed slightly over the years and the park would want to be sure beforehand of what they are going to do. Two months might seem a long time but they are dealing with a prototype train from a manufacturer who has never done something like it before if the reports of Kumbak are to be believed. Look at BSG at Universal Singapore. The seats fell off the train and caused it to be closed for some time. This was from a manufacturer who had done a similiar coaster type before with a completely different type of train. The park is being safe and allowing a large amount of time to get things right. Are they modifiying the track layout? Who knows but if they are there really isn't much to work with space wise within the existing area due to the confined nature of the design. Personally the layout is fine. It is the trains that let the ride down severly.
  17. Guessing it is someone who is into "rough riding".
  18. Don't they have the monorail, splash boats, skyway, flume and the ones in the Sesame/Nick area? I thought these were rides but I guess I was wrong.
  19. In order: Superman Green Lantern Jet Rescue Buzzsaw was too much of a "was that it?" Tower is good but would be in the top three if it went the 160km/h it used to (and its US counterpart seems to be able to) Whist Scooby is great Jet Rescue is simply a fun little coaster and is why it is above it, although Scooby is a close 4th.
  20. Crap ones open? I don't see WWF on the list of closed/mentioned rides. You have to remember what the park lacks in quantity it makes up for with quality. Also counting rides that are permanently closed to make way for a new one isn't fair. It doesn't matter if you go in Feb/Mar or July/Aug you still won't be able to ride Looney or Batman Adventure. The only way you may have a chance if you have a Delorean!
  21. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a "Big Fun" go in. This seems the ideal sort of park for one. Plus it would give something unique coaster wise the Gold Coast parks don't have.
  22. There is also a new Police Academy movie coming so I wouldn't necessarily count on the ride staying Lethal Weapon.
  23. The look to have the foresight to build it higher than the water level would reach. As for rides in low areas I wonder how the vintage cars at Dreamworld are doing. One would be thinking there would be a fair bit of water around them.
  24. Think Hangover as in it would be like the pain you get from waking up with one. More suitable than Spy Kids.
