  1. How will lap bars prevent an issue that has nothing to do with existing restraint setup?
  2. Sounds about the same as "I'm not queuing that long for <ride>" and also getting "The queue for <ride> was quick" for a ride with a 4 minute queue.
  3. Adding another presentation alongside the existing? Sure this is Sea World on the Gold Coast we are talking about here?
  4. Just go to SFMM, theirs does that height on a consistent basis. Seen it kiss the brakes at the top with a single person on it.
  5. Two more water parks no longer around, Amazons at Jindalee Warrego Water Park at Haigslea
  6. The airbag is clearly for if the Tower of Terror somehow manages to launch too fast and clear the track.
  7. Oh, my last visit to WnW GC I confused the staff with my Sydney bottle as it didn't have a dot on it @YLFATEEKS. Interesting to know about the lack of policing. Guess it runs on a honesty system.
  8. Slightly off topic but how are these actually policed? What's stopping someone from BYO they previously had and keep using it without paying the reactivation fee for the DIY stations at Movie World and possibly Sea World? I have never bothered bringing one back (it is stupidly expensive to reactivate and just as cheap to buy a new one) but did notice the Gold Coast parks use a RF dot (at least at Wet'n'Wild') in comparison to the wrist band they attach in Sydney. Surely the band for day of purchase which would be replaced on next visit when re-activated would make more sense than a RF dot that needs to be scanned to verified it is ok to refill and quicker for staff and guests. Alternative option would be band on day of purchase, pay per refill on additional visit (made use of this at Six Flags and Knotts last year, $1 refills when next visiting a SF/CF park).
  9. Think you will find people going straight to Valet at the moment at Chermside @ads086 due to the lack of parking thanks to the expansion of the centre. When I went there I had no issues with roof parking during summer before they closed most of it for the new multi-level. Only ever used Valet during Christmas peak as it is easier than circling for 30+ minutes for a park.
  10. Probably the same reason why it keeps tripping itself frequently. A somewhat complex ride which also has the added complexity of being a water ride to deal with.
  11. After reading this it sounds like the monorail is an attraction in its own right https://towersstreet.com/theme-park/ride/monorail/
  12. Alton Towers does have a monorail
  13. Expect the game to do a RCT3 as your park fills. Starts fine but slowly reduces in frame rate as you keep adding to the park. Will confirm high CPU demand so plan on upgrading mine sometime in the next few months.
  14. As long as it looks better than some of the cougars who visit the park already...
  15. I did notice there isn't that local shit that tries to pass for beer on the list so I guess win one, lose one.
  16. Rode it Sunday and would say it seemed about the same as before.
  17. Speaking of Kmart... https://au.news.yahoo.com/qld/a/34123161/customers-at-logan-hyperdome-evacuated-following-fire-in-kmart/#page1
  18. Starting to have this attitude towards most of the "media" of late
  19. Surely you've been here long enough to know how threads work by now @reanimated35
  20. It's different to Movie World's Green Lantern. The Six Flags one rides much differently to how it looks and has some unexpected drops and forces when riding making it easily better than BuzzSaw.
  21. @Gold Coast Amusement Force not at this point in time but if it wasn't a market then parks like Disney wouldn't have dine in table service restaurants serving three course meals. I would go to the parks for food if they were open later to accommodate the dining options. I paid around $100 at one of the restaurants at Disneyland last visit and would happily do it again. If our parks offered something with the level of service and quality I experienced I am sure I wouldn't be the only one who would dine in at the park having a proper meal.
  22. It didn't have the OTSR attached on Friday when I was there.
  23. Bleaches are a good idea but hopefully they don't cut down on the table space currently available. Sitting at the table watching the tigers whilst enjoying a beer or two is one of the best things about the redevelopment. Noticed the area also gets a nice breeze which is great on a hot day so hope that also isn't impacted.
