  1. Hear that Theme Park Review is a great place.
  2. You're better off comparing Tantrum and T5 at Wet'n'Wild Sydney to these two slides than Triple Boretex and Green Room. Whilst they are similar the idea of the two smaller funnels and a finale with a larger one would be a great addition and attract for a park even with just one standard Tornado. Can also see The Perfect Storm being more popular than Funnel Web (last visit to WnW Sydney Tantrum was the more popular of the two tornado slides)
  3. Wow, that's somewhat surprising. Guess if people are going to want to do it you may as well make it ok providing the criteria is met. Have a feeling it is something that wouldn't be seen on the Gold Coast parks due to insurance reasons.
  4. Why would a B&M save them? Sure there are a lot of people who would like to see a RMC built here. Sure B&M are good coasters but unless it is something like Medusa or Tatsu I would prefer something along the lines of Joker at Discovery Kingdom. There are heaps of other manufacturers they could chose from. Even a Mack coaster built at Dreamworld would help the park. Everyone wants a B&M but whilst they are good there are heaps of just as good options available.
  5. That won't be on the cards if it is a Whitewater West only slide park. Will be their odd looking squished tornado thing instead. I am with the other two people in saying I'll believe this is happening when they start construction.
  6. No separate mention of White Water World. Should have had that logo on the right with the celebrating as a banner underneath. Have it detachable so it can be changed or removed as needed to reflect events/celebrations in the park.
  7. It is targeted at international visitors and not local families. I also see something like this is a complimentary attraction for overseas visitors. Most of our parks compliment each other when it comes to offerings for international visitors. Dreamworld has the wildlife and corroboree, Movie World the shows, Sea World marine animals, Paradise Country is a bit of an overlap of Dreamworlds offering. Whilst we see competition when it comes from a local point of view for a tour guide with Asian guests doing all the parks has something different to offer.
  8. Not always the case @pazzap. Cedar Point have closed Mean Streak and it is more than obvious by the fact large sections of track are missing and the station, the first turn and to part of the lift hill either have cross beams for attaching RMC track or track actually installed plus a pile of RMC I-box track sitting near the lift they are doing a conversion. No word yet from either the park or RMC about the transformation.
  9. @Glubbo my RMC was based a bit on Storm Chaser at Kentucky Kingdom and from my experience on Twisted Colossus and Joker. This is an sort of overview of the ride without giving away the full layout.
  10. Your park paths are lacking in fencing @reanimated35
  11. Who has been playing around with triggers on their rides/coasters? Added the fog (and not seen lights) to the cave to simulate an avalanche as per the rides name.
  12. Because Christmas is coming up? Thought everyone knew red, white and green were there colours of Christmas!
  13. Found the most popular coaster in the park to be Tatsu followed by Twisted Colossus with X2 being thrown in the mix (when it is actually open!). Shithouse capacity doesn't mean a ride is popular!
  14. Something I have been working on since the beta, RMC called Avalanche.
  15. Unless you are with a group it isn't exactly the best day out. They seem to be focusing on getting Sydney in good standing order with the locals and hope they turn their attention to the Gold Coast park once that is done. Agree on the lockers. Absolutely hate the system the Gold Coast park has, having large hands doesn't help either. If anyone is reading this who is able to do anything about it, for the love of god please bring the Sydney locker system to the Queensland park, if posisble go a step further and bring the queuing system too.
  16. I am not complaining about that review as I went on it a month or two after and agree with what is said. Quite honestly the most brutal coaster I have been on.
  17. Main reason why I go to WhiteWater World up here and venture to Sydney for Wet'n'Wild. Would like to see a ProSlide Tantrum here (proper one, not the waste of time, space and money that was Triple Vortex at WhiteWater World). One of those FlyingSAUCER would be great and get some of my interest back in the Gold Coast park.
  18. GaleForce is still to open whilst they wait on a new section of track to be manufactured and shipped from Italy. Not exactly the best thing to happen with your newest design. Looks a fun ride but raises the question of does it meet the capacity requirements of Sea World. It is one thing to suggest a small coaster but it needs to be something that will accommodate a high throughput of people.
  19. Highly confused with what that has to do with the topic @Intimidator305. but would love to see most of that complex on the Gold Coast.
  20. Only took me around 35-40 minutes on ADSL2 so it isn't that long to wait to download it.
  21. Coasters are a weird thing like TV/computer screens in that random units of measurement are used over metric @reanimated35. 200, 300, 400 feet tall all associate with a type, about the only time it makes sense to use it. Same as you don't go out and buy a a 68.5cm monitor, you buy a 27". As for the option in metric I am sure Google can help you out
  22. One thing that Six Flags has got right in the USA, you pay for an all day locker it is able to be moved around the park so you don't have to worry about a central locker and returning there to get something, simply carry your stuff with you and put it in the nearest locker as needed. You even get a receipt of your locker number so you don't have to worry about remembering it. The NFC idea is good (and I am a fan of it at Wet'n'Wild Sydney) but I would prefer a movable locker over it. Sure Movie World isn't as sprawled out as Discovery Kingdom but it would be handy to have. Even add a bank of lockers near Wild West Falls to help make full use of the movable locker system.
  23. WnW Sydney just had money thrown at it in the new mybands and in park queue system as well as the random addition of Dinosaurs. The Gold Coast park needs some of the slides the Sydney park has. It is the main reason why I prefer the Sydney park over the Gold Coast.
  24. Whilst a third train on Superman would be ideal to have Arkham really needs the second train more. Seeing an approximate 15 minutes wait at the front of the queue line for a ride is something that should never happen.
