My House haha, or make a little club house

They sure do like their chevy's (vomits). Wouldn't mind the golf buggy/chev crashed car. lol I wonder what they'll go for. I'd guess (and this is just an educated GUESS) around $40k+ for the caprice's just because of the engines and super modified aspect. But may be more because their famous hahaha. We should all chip in and buy one hahaha
-
At least they're taking notice of what guests want. Hopefully for the best.

I heard on the radio "today 5 years ago" (monday!) they said wonderland closed, idiots. Can't they get their facts right.? I miss wonderland, and it feels longer than 5 years ago. At least the bush beast and Beastie roller coaster carriges are less then 1km from my home

I wanted to put a wreath on wonderland drive sign at 5pm today. lol

The stupid government pr enviro ppl and local residents got to choose between 'disney land style tp' or nature reserve. Sure enough they chose the nature reserve . . or thats what ive heard regarding disney land and the unutalised balmain area. LPS would go out of business .

Pitty the food is so expensive. But up the road near BWS under the bridge on other side, there is the most amazing gourmet pizza and is sooo filling , in a small italian restraunt. I insist on going there if you go to LPS (instead of wasting more money for less food and of poorer quality). LPS is good. But sydney needs better. (I stress 'NEEDS')

I don't quite understand this but are you saying the park is quiet at this time of year? But aren't the rides closed for maintenance in off peak times ? Its a bit of a concern and risky for people traveling a long distance but still want to beat the queue's without missing out on the rides? Solution ... MW needs a resort/hotel hahaha but I'm sure that will never happen.
-
Now I feel like riding SE. haha. Interesting steam system info, thanks. I think the ride that needs the most attention at MW is LW imo the theming is pretty drab and I would like to see that movie area changed into something better. But I haven't been to MW in a while so might have been changed. And although it is fun, the batman adventure 'ride'?? is getting on in years and I would like to see some changes but it is a great family-ish ride/walk through.
-
Its steam?? On SE? I thought it was smoke machine. Makes more sense though.. It disappeared as soon as it came out (unlike smoke machine where it lingers). But why isnt it warm or moist when we go through? Or is it that its so fast that we don't notice the heat? Why do they use steam? And I would also love to see the LT river ride get a little freshening up.

At least WVTP'S is thinking about long term things and overall quality of the park. Unlike other parks *cough cough* that just keep adding new attractions and the theming quality or lack there of diminishes in no time. Atmosphere in a park is a key factor for any great park. WBMW does this exceptionally well compared to other parks and I think they are doing a great job, choosing to 'clean up' the park. It makes the rides so much more exciting and memorable if you have theming like pre-SE section. Imagine how boring SDSC would be without any theming?? hahaha. Kudos to WBMW!

Hollywood Stunt Driver on Getaway tonight
Stef replied to Gold Coaster's topic in Theme Park Discussion
threads go off topic so fast lol! back on topic then. I saw klassen24 and he did very well... on national television lol . -
The studio tour trams were the absolute best part of the park. I can't believe the idea was scratched. If we can learn anything from universal studio's etc it is that studio tours are and can be made the highlight of the park. And the movie magic tour thing was good too but it had to go to make room for SE so i'm not complaining.

All in all. Movieworld needs a woodie. I have seen some pretty outrageous so called woodie's where they use steel and takes away the whole charm. I dont remember where but it was not to my liking and I just hope MW or any other park for that matter does not go in that direction. I think MW needs a relatively large capacity ride with minimal space requirements like DW's Claw and Wipeout. Multipurpose structures like ToT and GD is clever and WWF could do something similar to this. Or bermuda and flume (as previously mentioned). MW does like the enclosed rides Scooby-Doo, SE (partially) and LW queue. For obvious reasons of theming them. So I think they would be more inclined to add onto the existing WWF. I just wish they kept their theming as good as the day it was done.

What shop is it in? I want some wonderland paper! lol
-
Yes that sounds like an ideal position (between WWF and LW) and entrance would only infringe on existing arcade area or near where the exit from the spooky coaster is. Even though woodies cant go upside down and are heaps bumpier, it can be a more family orientated roller coaster catering for both children to adults (whereas in previous rides like LW limits height etc and on the other end of the scale the road runner r c limits size). And woodies have a certain presence and atmosphere about them that makes them very enjoyable.
-
Woodie would be awesome! Who cares about the neighbors, I'm sure they knew there were 2 large theme parks near them -.- or they would have moved by now. I like the indoor experience but nothing beats the outdoor aesthetics of woodies and would fit in perfectly and I'm sick of white warehouses . Don't the neighbors get heaps of freebies already? If so they probably the ones doing the screaming on the rides. And it's not very noisy at night anyway (occasionally may be).

Mountain cascades was not properly positiond in my opinion because it often went unseen as it was slightly hidden near the end of the free fall etc slides. You waited in a line at the bottom pool part and the staff member was there and had some sort of signal (cant remember exactly) but a green light or something. And then sent the next person waiting up to the top where you sat in a ring and just went down a built in half pipe type slide with fake rock theming. Was a bit scary at the end as the water from the slide pushes you into the pool but still a fun and very quiet slide. I think they used the slide on some of their advertisements etc because I always used to say huh wonderland doesnt have a slide with tubes (because it always slipped my mind ). The beach closed a bit before the closure of wonderland I think. But can't exactly recall when.

Yeah and my dad laughs and says 'hah "wonderland drive" ' *the street name of old entrance* sucks that all we have left or all that they left was a sign. No sign or whatever. My friends just laugh it off like 'hah i rmember wonderland wow its all dirt now hah' but I cant help getitng teary. And as I look in other cars passing by people dont even look anymore. It was such a thrill when we used to drive over the hill and see space probe and the tip of the demon and driving through the entrance yelling out the different letters on each flag , eventually spelling wonderland. I hate and will never forgive anyone that decided to run wonderland into the ground for money.

I have a stack of old theme park maps etc. Its interesting to see how much the drawing style and what rides/ attractions etc have changed over the years. But I sadly only have one that I can find from wonderland it was 1999/2000 map I believe. "Celebrating 15 years of fun" and still refers to HBL not little wonder rubbish. So still includes HBL on map. Enjoy.

I watch spongebob late at night/morning too lol. As for WWF area , defiantly needs some more attractions, unless they're going for the ghost town look lol. It seems the only reason people go down there is for WWF (and the cool moving picture thing =D). The park needs to be evened out more, seems like WWF has been neglected after all the other new additions to the park in other areas (I dont blame them) But it should be the area of focus for future plans. Water Rapids ride would be awesome but maybe something different (dry ride) to lure more people. Not just guests that want to get soaked. And of course has to be outdoors.
