  1. Another article from the daily http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/wetnwild-new-years-eve-party-organisers-refuse-to-apologise-saying-revellers-being-refunded-is-enough/story-fni0cx12-1226794969743
  2. I was going to bite at the ten bucks an hour as well... And had written a nice reply with some facts to back it up... but then couldn't be bothered. I knew others here would do the Job baha
  3. Lol... Enthusiasts act so entitled. Just because someone enjoys shopping at woollies, doesn't mean that they get the red carpet rolled out and their own lane at the checkout. Unfortunately, we are a tiny tiny portion of the market and not even a blip on their radar. About 10 people cranky about a fence? Pfft. Perhaps the fence jumpers should have realised bringing this oh&s problem to seaworlds attention wouldn't have gone their way? The majority of guests would just think. "Oh a fence, I'll go round" it's only a limited few who ruin it for everyone by jumping the fence, and then kicking a stink that it should be open, and then get upset that the fence is raised to stop this handful from doing it again. Seaworld opens the gates, loses some revenue, but now you don't have to jump it? I'm not surprised that seaworld went the direction they did at all, and I think it's hilarious
  4. Just because the company was new, does not mean that the organisers behind it didn't have the cred to pull it off, and going by flees comments it sounds like at least one of the organisers knew what he was doing.
  5. Agree with you dj. Seaworld fixed the problem. It may not have been the outcome most wanted, but they definitly showed whose boss.
  6. Thanks Liz and MBA. If it hasn't already I would assume big red car will get an update for the new wiggles. I'm a little to old and childless to ride this one solo to find out for myself haha
  7. Wnw stated that the organiser cancelled the event. Surely they couldn't say this if they had cancelled it instead?
  8. Thanks for the review Lis. I have always enjoyed a day out at dreamworld and sounds like your family enjoyed it as well. Can I ask did you notice if any of wiggles world has been updated for the "new" wiggles?
  9. I think there is a bigger chance of village opening a new (albeit small) waterpark in Perth then building a new theme park in sydney.
  10. It is funny that it looks like Parkz had some input into this... Even if it was in the opposite direction... Maybe they will do the opposite from now on. Dreamworld - please don't replace the mine cart ride Movie World - please don't open an amazing replacement for ltrr within the next 12 months
  11. That is absolutely hilarious... Just walk the long way ya lazy bunch of lazies
  12. Op, let it go and move on. It was a year ago as you said... Teaching your kids to hold onto petty things like this is setting them up for failure. Yes I sympathise that you got an undercooked piece of chicken, but I don't understand what you expect wet n wild to do in this instance. It sounds to me like you are after compensation....
  13. I think seaworld have about 14 dinosaurs... Palmersaurus has over 160
  14. Mate. I'm not going to get into an argument, if you have an in-park dining reservation or even a booking in the barber or boutique, they do not deny you access. Edited for clarification - Once the park starts nearing capacity they start closures in phases. Annual pass holders and those with in-park reservations (dining and appointments) are the last type of ticket denied entry. They deny entry to all other types prior to this.Lets be clear, with how wdw is moving with the my magic band, and the fact you can book a specific day, with specific attraction times and dining plans and fast passes, there is no way they will deny access to you if you have pre-booked all of this prior to your trip. I didn't mention FP+ as an entry condition. Now, it is fairly reverent here because wnws could have made guests book specific days for one day admission to try and cap numbers early And to upsell their own Annual pass as an everyday option, go when you want situation.
  15. Westical, generally those with in park reservations or appointments will get in. They will not deny entry.
  16. Jacob I know the feeling of venturing alone! Alas I don't have many friends who are as obsessed as me, so most visits to the parks are solo! It does mean however that I get to jump most queues with the glorious single rider!
  17. I seem to remember universal studios Singapore doing the exact same thing when they first opened and look at what the granddaddy of theme parks is bringing in.MThe new system allows you to book in advance your whole holiday. Select the day you are going, select your fast passes. Book seats at the live showsand restaurants, (even reserve you roar add spot) online weeks (even months in some instances) before your day comes to visit. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/my-disney-experience/passholder/ While I don't see our parks ever getting busy enough to warrant this, maybe wet n wild sydney could have sold passes for specific dates. Davetherave, they don't close the park for the fun of it. I'm sure they would love more people in the gates. More people=more money. It is a safety issue - nothing else! If I was one of the other parents and you complained to a poor staff member at the entry to let the group in even if they were over capacity.. And then my kid drowned in the pool because the park was already over capacity... I'm pretty sure I would be more pissed at you, then I would be at the park had they not let me in. Maybe during these busy times the park could post something on its wall advising of closures due to capacity, But not every reads this. Like Keegs said (and the best tip for visiting any park) get there as early as humanly possible to avoid disappointment,
  18. My mum and dad quite enjoyed MDMC and wanted multiple rides. So I guess it's not just for kids but the older market who may also not enjoy the big coasters get a kick out of it as well. I think MDMC is marketed incorrectly (something our parks have a habit of doing - see Justice League) If the marketing reflected what it was - a family coaster, and not a thrill ride then I think their would be fewer complaints. "A giant waterfall, twists and turns, exciting explosions, a storm, death defying special effects and a splash down like no other! Join our hero on a trip down under with over 20 animatronic effects, all on a boat on course for excitement!" -looney tunes river ride
  19. gotta increase the post count somehow...oops i did it as well. Adding to the discussion - never been a fan of waterparks so wouldn't make the effort to visit just for this., it does look like a nice park but needs some time for the greenery to grow in!
