^ The current one. I don't see why they'd move the show unless something was planned for that area. Maybe they are going to do something on the spot of the old chairlift station and the current Oakey Creek Farm Show location.

^ Haha. I forgot about that one. Thanks Alex.

By amphitheatre do you mean seating for a show? If so how close is it to the water (i.e. could the show be on the water or is there enough room on land for it)? I know Jordan M mentioned a while ago about the possibility of a new Bushranger show. I'm guessing this could be it.

Does anyone know an approximate height for the river ride building or the river ride itself?

^ It's getting to the business end of the year for all those studying at the moment (whether it be uni, or school). I have been slowly thinking about my idea between exams and I finally put it all together today.

^ That does sound pretty cool. My only concern is the restricted operating hours of WWF (until 9pm). If something like this was to happen I'd hope MW would get extended operating hours for the ride (until 11pm). Edit: My idea... This is a broad idea - more of an overall plan if you will. Basically I'd like to see a maze come back in the Lethal Weapon alley and a Terror Tram added similar to Universal Studios Hollywood's (USH) one ( ) in addition to this year's attractions. Located in the Lethal Weapon alley would be The Gauntlet. Basically this would be a maze of 1m wide corridors which would zig zag along the alley. There would be dead ends, and lots of places for actors to hide in throughout. Using satellite imagery I've calculated that the alley varies from about 2 to 3m wide which would allow for the main path to double back on itself at some points. I'd design it with a couple of loops in addition to a 'C' shaped path down the pathway to Scooby Doo before it starts an almost never ending zig zag with no actors. I believe this would speed people up because they think they know what's happening. At the end of the alley, after the last zig zag, guests would come to a larger room with a few actors hidden on the sides. Once the whole group has entered this room, strobe lights would start up and the actors would quickly approach the group. On the far side of the room is the exit to the maze. The whole maze would be filled with as much smoke as possible and would feature a fast-paced audio soundtrack. Working on the basis of a Sudden Impact sized tent, I've found a possible location for a maze in the studio lot. Guests would board one of the Paradise Country trams departing from near Superman Escape (as they did with Narnia last summer). To increase capacity two (or more, if available) trams would be used. The tram would navigate through the studios before stopping at the location of the maze. Similar to USH, a few actors with chainsaws greet the guests upon their arrival. The guests then enter the maze with an entrance in the rough centre of the tent. While the guests are navigating through the maze the tram is taken to the back side of the maze's tent to pick the guests up upon exit. Depending on the studios at the time (how busy etc.), a couple of actors could be placed along the route. I haven't decided as to what would be in the maze, or what it would be themed to.

Saturday midnight... right? 51.25 hours?

They'd still need to move the shop on the Gold Rush side (Eureka Jewellery I think its called) before they could do anything with the whole site. Maybe they could extend the imax theatre and build something like Back to the Future: The Ride (layout) or The Simpsons Ride. I'm pretty sure someone has said in the past that Dora had a problem that would cost more than the ride to fix and that Dreamworld were thinking of replacing it entirely.

If you switch to satellite view on the map above you can see the little clearing for Paradise Country on the bottom left. You can see that the paddocks for AOS don't take up more than the size of WNW and there is still two to three times the size of WNW spare land in the forest.

All I'll say is I've been looking a satellite imagery tonight...

^^ Are you thinking of a giant Halloween maze through the abandoned studio for this week's challenge?

Here's the image re-done with the rough location:

They have the Speedcoaster sorted in the DA but the Twister slide has no stairs - apparently the they are "currently under review". It's a shame that they didn't have the space to leave the tower as it was with the Speedcoaster and Twister sharing stairs / ramp.

According to the first post, midnight.

A screenshot of his Dreamworld recreation has been archived. Sadly the ZIPs which contained the game files have not. http://web.archive.org/web/20050906162423/...finished_01.JPG

^ Can you please upload some standard screenshots of it so we can see the overall layout a bit better?

Is four posts in a row a record? Well the park was due to open last week but due to one of the UAE's leaders' passing, the opening has been delayed until later this week. Anyway here is a POV of the world's fastest coaster. Reaching speeds of up to 240 km/h in 4 seconds, I introduce to you Formula Rossa:

30 years = 30 million?

WVTP were originally going to install it at Sea World but changed their mind and installed it at Wet'n'Wild instead. I don't think they'd do a backflip just yet.

I'd give Translink a call on 131 230 to see if they are running a bus to Helensvale Train Station on the night. They have done this in previous years. From the 2009 website (which is still online ):

This might be of help for A-Frame signs and other facades.

Soon to be the world's fastest roller coaster has started testing before a soft opening at the end of the month. Formula Rossa launches "goggle wearing" riders from 0 to 240 km/h in 4 seconds. All riders must wear goggles because the area is prone to dust storms.

^ It's going to be a pretty big year for a lot of the overseas theme parks. Here's a list of 2011 attractions at Theme Park Review. Highlights include: Cheetah Hunt - triple launch coaster for Busch Gardens Tampa Dare Devil Dive - Eurofighter for Six Flags over Georgia Windseekers - sky high swings for four Cedar Fair parks - Cedar Point, Knotts, Canada's Wonderland, Kings Island. A similar ride is also going into two Six Flags parks - Discovery Kingdom and St. Louis. Two other rides are to be named Green Lantern (a wild mouse and a stand-up) which will be moved from now-defunct Six Flags parks to operating Six Flags parks.

^ Ah... this one. I see a bit of a grudge against the Aussie parks.
