Pretty sure the Nov/Dec dates for SDSC were about the same as last years when they ripped everything out. I think the August dates will give better clues as to what is happening considering it's current state their are only few reminders left that it is indeed a Scooby-Doo themed ride. While it makes sense to cash in on an affordable re-etheme as it stands, it also makes sense to weigh up the options and consider the foreseeable popularity and on-going marketability of the said name and iconic MW ride. I remain cautiously optimistic that Scooby will remain and the overall experience plussed to give it a modern day lease on life.

Thanks @Reanimated35, inspiring stuff! DW certainly need to continue to look outside of the box and think about what they do have and what makes them unique and great. I have long stood by the Australiana themes of DW and there is still so many more for them to explore. For one, I would love to see some Aussie Folklore return to the Park (yes - return) which would transition nicely to the Wildlife areas of the back of the Park. A centrepiece "Great Southern Land" flying Theatre attraction, a reimagined Mine ride and a family style dark ride would tick enough boxes to make such a new area well rounded. As far as bringing big International brands, how about a Legoland to take up all of the unused space? I think there is enough land to build a modest sized Lego Park there. The location is ripe to benefit both brands and would beautifully round off the entertainment offerings of the North Coomera precint, offering a true 'all under the one roof' alternative to the Village Parks.

An old friend and former work colleague of mine plays a pretty big role in MW's branding nowadays. This person is utterly passionate about the product and has unconditionally devoted their entire working career to the Park and it's reputation. Like with any big corporation, there are many constraints that departments have to work within (budgets being a pretty big one). External influences beyond the control of businesses can also be pretty challenging when you have a plan mapped out in front of you only to suddenly scrap everything and start all over again. There goes the budget 😐 I have no doubt whatsoever that plans have changed for this new Coaster from it's original - perhaps continuing the whole 'good to be bad' thing? That's why I originally guessed it to be a WW Coaster on these polls. I am also pretty sure that being overly cautious about releasing details of the ride to the Public is a fact and the timing isn't quite right. Yet.. ..about 2 more weeks to go peeps!! For the record, this is all pure speculation!! My insider and former colleaugue is far too dedicated to tell me for sure, I wouldn't dare ask. That and the fact that they know I wouldn't keep my mouth shut about it either! And they would be right😂

I am really pleases to say that I have absolutely no idea what all this is about!! Why give airtime to dramas on a place that we should come to for pleasure? Good on you @Theme Park Girl for having such thick-skin 😃. We are such a small community, there really isn't room for shit-slinging before someone get's their nose out of joint!

Conservation is a key message of Seaworld and Dreamworld. On a recent trip to DW I learnt about the 'Save the Bilby fund' and a little about the Park's efforts with other Wildlife. As I am sure most are aware these little critters are on the verge of extinction and if it weren't for the efforts of places like DW we may have already lost them. I believe the current 'tallest' part of the new Coaster is around 30 metres, or roughly the same height as AA. RCDB again has the top of the lift at 196.8 feet (59.98 metres) as I check it now.

They are obviously investing big dollars in Wipeout's revival, I wonder how much (if any) involvement Vekoma are playing with providing new parts etc? With only 2 Waikiki Wave Super Flip rides left operating (is there still one somewhere in Mexico?) parts would no doubt be expensive and incredibly difficult to source. DW have historically been creative with retrofitting their rides in-house, however doing this today may effect the warranty and insurance for them to operate them safely. I think this is of grave concern for the future of ride's like Wipeout and indeed DW as a whole. My fingers are crossed that we will see shiny new life breathed back into Wipeout for the second half of the year. If they can't get her back up to scratch they would want to at least have a Plan B.

Well put @Slick. The very fact that DW has an 'all under the one roof' feature certainly has it's benefits! Tbh, I usually spend longer on any given visit at DW than I do at the others for this very reason. Spending more time on property means you are more inclined to purchase food/drink during any given visit to DW. VTPs on the other hand do not offer so much of a full day at any of their Parks so instead of handing my dollars over at MW, SW, WnW or PC, I am awarded with the convenience and affordability of a multitude of food outlets just off property!! Way to go VTPs!! Seems like a ridiculous missed opportunity to me when you consider the % of revenue should be closely associated - and marketed toward the demographic audience .

I think that you will find that the Mack Chief said it was 'Similar' to the Flash design - not a 'Clone'. From what has been assembled so far I am sure that most here would agree that ours is showing some pretty ambitious advances on Mack's first Hyper.

True, however it is just a matter of time before the Comic receives a successful reboot, which according to the rumour mill is already in the early stages.

I actually really like the idea of a Phantom Coaster, sighting that the 'name' of the ride is very marketable and people would be able to identify -and accept- easily with such a title. Surely a 'Phantom' Coaster would have to feature Skull Rock Cave? I think that would be a fun and exciting queue/station lead up to the ride.

Looks great and clearly all these sideshows at the Park are so popular!!!! Sarcasm aside, might as well open them all with just 1 or 2 staff. I hate seeing closed features at our Parks almost as much as Time share .

I'm sure anyone would agree that the former IMAX Theatre is greatly underutilized in it's current state. Turning the Theatre into a Soarin style attraction would require a lot of excavation. For example, the floor would have to be flat for the seating and plenty of room would have to be made for the ride's infrastructure. With the defunct Mine ride behind the building, perhaps the Theatre space could be dug out northbound and place the ride/seating toward where the old trrr channel sits today and put the screen where the audience seating currently sits? I have always wanted to see a Soarin style ride here in Australia. The experience is absolutely mind blowing! We have some amazing landscapes in our country and this could be a perfect draw for an Australiana Park like DW.

Not having a fancy queue/preshow/station and elaborate themeing isn't a reason to discredit this as a possibility? Pretty sure that with the millions this thing has already costed there was never much of a plan to go over board with other things. As this is the single biggest investment on an Australian Theme Park ride, all it needs is a equally strong title for the Public to recognise it. Don't get me wrong- I would prefer to see an immersive lead up to the ride but in this case it isn't needed.
