  1. Absolutely agree with this, they have also just placed a new a-frame promoting purchase at ride entry along with a QR Code sign on the side of the que. When DCR backwards was $10/$15 I did it most visits, but at $20 it became a once every few months and at $30 its a special occasion/with a mate that hasn't done it before.
  2. Interesting development, now just need offpeak or passholder discounts so it doesnt run empty the majority of the time.
  3. This was my take too, if you didn’t “cheap out” initially you wouldn’t be dealing with these issues now. But yes credit for the transparency.
  4. On this note VRTP has the latest addition of Studio Showcase. My understanding is this space is now going to be storage indefinitely.
  5. Taken today The path between TI and Kangaroos is closed currently.
  6. I wouldn’t assume the video was filmed that recently and that SE is testing yet. This was my interpretation too
  7. Should be fine I reckon since it isnt a Public Holiday in QLD.
  8. All previously available/released for the film. Nothing for the new ride. Mambo released this shirt quite a few years back and honestly it’s perfect for the ride considering its history.
  9. I highly recommend Nagashima SpaLand have been twice in 2019 and 2023 for the most part wait times were low when I visited. I do believe they had a Que Skip option on a few rides, single purchase per person available from the kiosks around the park.
  10. The most recent was July 2021 (that was rescheduled a week but did go ahead). I agree the $10 Passholder ticket represents outstanding value, also great they are offering pass holders friends/family tickets at $29.
  11. Currently anybody who purchases a new locals pass or renews receives a 12 month Digital Fast Photo pass that sells separately for $80.
  12. I do wonder if it really did start to hit their pocket, they are even including a bonus 12M ride/candid photo pass currently for all One Pass Locals/Lite/Renewals from May 15 to June 30. They haven’t included a Photo Pass with their passes since the VIP Magic Pass.
  13. Literally during the school holidays prior to closure DCR was running two trains. It’s not a rare occurrence. SDSC’s major works were anticipated/planned. However unforeseen issues cropped up that brought the closure forward. Hence why work has not really taken place with the ride yet. If such a popular ride can only operate with significantly less cars than usual for whatever reason it makes sense to close it imho, doesn’t mean it was unsafe.
  14. My understanding is removing the lockers/doing this update was planned awhile ago, I was told before SE closed for maintenance/flash installation it was happening then so possibly it was delayed for whatever reason and they are proceeding now. Im a skeptic but I really don’t think VRTP are stupid enough to have SE closed unnecessarily with so much down.
  15. Green Lantern also could be due to lack of staff, while Doomsday did/does have it's fair share of issues GL is often next on the list if they are short staffed (and it was also closed last Saturday along with Showcase)
  16. Exactly this, simply have it listed as closed indefinitely on the website as MW currently has for Doomsday
  17. This, I haven't seen anything confirmed. Current construction obviously shows the main entrance as likely being next to SE. I hope the entrance next to Scooby is a second entrance and always open but it wouldn't shock me if it is generally closed in order to funnel people back into Main St.
  18. It's a great gimmick but unfortunately the show scene wasnt much during my visit in October. The original plan of descending into an alien filled environment would have been incredible and it's a shame they didnt try to atleast have some kind of unlicensed creature attacking you are escaping from.
  19. https://www.forbes.com/sites/carolinereid/2023/03/22/leading-disney-ride-manufacturer-puts-itself-up-for-sale/?sh=adfa66640ea0 For those interested in knowing more about the park and the timeline of its construction and BTS images theres a great thread here on ThemeParkX. Was the large alien animatronic/preshow working on your visit? I was very disappointed it wasn't during my visit in October. I've visited the park twice now on 2 different trips and have to agree with most of your thoughts. Would also highly recommend the VIP experience for the extra $70ish on top of general entry.
  20. You mean people don't visit the park for upcharge carnival games?!?!
  21. I have also heard awhile ago that this is the last for the WB Studio Showcase concept.
  22. Village Key is no longer advertised on ThemeParks.com.au (although currently the direct link still works) and the limited in park advertising at Village Bean and New Atlantis has been removed. VillageKey.com.au no longer always you to buy or register, only existing members can sign in so I'm fairly sure the program is dead. Doesn't appear to be even lasting 4 years, I have got my $25 worth when you include the free churro and choc top that was offered. I noticed when utilising the 10% off generally staff would not be selecting the Village Key option on the register so if they were bothering to track it they wouldn't be even getting accurate stats. Whilst the FAQ still refer to future plans the "phases" advertising has all been removed. Will be interesting to see how long until the program is completely closed, they could probably keep the existing platform/10% discount voucher running without much outlay but I honestly would rather they just close it and offer a backwards ride/something to fully close the program out.
  23. I find it hard to give them credit for it as it is such a low effort. But I guess it’s better than nothing?
  24. Can confirm I’ve heard it has had a major refurb/service. Was testing on Sunday albeit without all the seats.
