  1. My personal thoughts at this point are management are just too proud to admit they made a mistake with this ride/scrap it.
  2. For what it’s worth they do 20% off 1 day tickets at the front gate (unadvertised) when there are this many rides down. Frankly the only time I think the park is worth the one day ticket cost is during the holiday events with extra entertainment (DC H&V, Hooray for Hollywood)
  3. $9/$10 per month entry, depending on initial sign up. $12 per month entry and 1 entry each year to White Christmas, Carnivale and Fright Night, later purchases excluding Fright Night. $15 per month, as above + Wet n Wild Sydney access.
  4. I have a friend that’s similar, may go a couple of times a year if that. I have no doubt VRTP have analysed membership pass usage closely and are well aware of the % of users that do not make frequent use of their pass. Considering the backlash I somewhat feel they would have been better off just terminating the membership program and offering the discounted One Pass rates. Possibly their agreement with DebitSuccess doesn’t allow this, no idea.
  5. Could always be worse! We could be in 2007 where a 3 Park Pass with no events is $300. I think it’s a bit cheap of them to not give the normal renewal bonuses ($50 outback, $50 Animal Advemtures ect) considering they all require an additional spend.
  6. I think double is too much and clearly intended to push people onto a One Pass and they are offering the renewal discount in an effort to further entice. This isn’t the first instance of the parks being greedy nor will it be the last.
  7. Why do you feel entitled to pay $144 a year including fright night. Sure it sucks for those that are used to it but the park is not sustainable at that pass pricing.
  8. https://movieworld.com.au/dc-super-heroes-and-super-villains Website has now been updated, new characters to be announced at a later date.
  9. The app has just been updated to state H&V is returning in the upcoming school holidays, website has yet to be updated. Glad to see the parade moved to 5pm and later trade for the park in general, through the grapevine have heard the plan is to return the event to the opening standard.
  10. Correct, the plan is to restore the event to its opening standard from what I hear. Cautiously optimistic with the mixed bag of various things VRTP are doing lately.
  11. Can confirm I have heard the same that H4H is going to be the summer event and H&V is returning next school holidays with extended trade.
  12. This is my thinking too, drawcard for each holiday period. June/July - MW special event September - Surfrider Dec/Jan - MW special event. I honestly don’t mind that it’s a similar colour scheme to SE, especially if it’s a Supergirl theme. Have a good entrance sign so those going to ride SE will notice, it’s not like Jet Rescue tucked away under the remains of a bridge.
  13. There's no if's it has happened. Staff at GL and SE yesterday were all in the same polo.
  14. Honestly don't mind the general new uniform/look in general but 100% think its a poor decision to take away specific themed ride uniforms, I think it detracts from the overall themed environment experience. Sure have uniform the same across front gate/retail/food and bev. But let the "Metropolis Rapid Transit" employee check my superman restraint. My understanding is Roxy is the only attraction that is retaining the "old" uniforms.
  15. Or potentially short staffed. Lighting and testing fire systems usually wouldn’t require a full day closure.
  16. For what it's worth I asked and was told it is part of "normal ride operation". I assumed initially too it was likely a temporary measure.
  17. @DaptoFunlandGuyis on the money that the best thing to do is visit GS on arrival. To get a general idea too the parks do have some info available online. https://movieworld.com.au/-/media/project/movieworld/files/safety-and-accessibility-guide/wbmw2210502-accessibility-guide-web.pdf https://www.dreamworld.com.au/park-information/accessibility-information/ When in doubt rides will also confer with Guest Services even if issued a medical communication band. I’ve had ride ops need to get the “all clear” from GS before sending the ride.
  18. Despite this it’s still the “Superman ride“. Thinking possibly Supergirl for Surfrider.
  19. Despite riding quite a few times these school holidays I hadn’t even picked up they were gone 😅. I hope new screens are installed at some point, redoing the safety video if they deem it be necessary and having other appropriate content would be great. Just hope they don’t hugely push advertising upcharge experiences on them.
  20. What surprised me most about the ride is it has to be literally plugged in with a cord from the ops booth to release the restraints.
  21. I checked on if there was a single ride option back in December, no such luck. https://www.lunaparksydney.com/blog/the-twilight-pass-a-limited-time-offer - They do have a twilight ticket offer
  22. I certainly didn't expect them to reopen so soon, I wouldn't feel comfortable flying with them presently. The prelimanary ATSB report notes the following improvements. Worth noting the footer on the website has been updated to distance themselves from VRTP. Old New
  23. This is my theory, Annual Pass prices dropped significantly and Twilight Tickets have been introduced. Merchandise pricing is even higher than Movie World.
  24. This is how I interpreted the post, and I think it’s a good idea.
  25. Both SE and Rivals were operating with two trains yesterday. SE sewer/water effect working, as was the mist for entering/exiting the building.
