  1. Doomsday reopened today, some new carpet has been installed on the retractable ride floor. Everything else has already been noticed/reported.
  2. Just passed DW, the entrance banner/ribbon has changed. Has the Dreamworld logo (without "happiness") Welcome and a "celebrating 35 years" gold badge/circle.
  3. Someone else on these forums may also posses a Bermuda Alien... He currently is wearing an AOS hat.
  4. Those lockers are now wristband, went to WNW for the first time in years the other day and went to use them and they are like rest. As someone who previously paid $299 for 12 months to three parks (MyFun Mega Pass) I wouldnt mind paying more for a short term or long term locker pass attached to my membership card. Would go with my Fast Photo, Hunger Buster & Thirst Quencher nicely ;).
  5. Not disputing what you are saying, just saying they are within ACCC guidelines. But I didn't realise Visa/MC debit are classed differently so they are in breach of that.
  6. It does more closely reflect business costs, 0.97% is what VRTP charge now for Visa/MC and what is required under ACCC guidelines. Credit Card fees are now only legally cost recovery. The front gate used to charge $3.95, this is now 0.97%.
  7. It stops at Dreamworld, asked a driver the other day. For staff.
  8. I agree re: single rider. I hadn't visited the park for a few years until recently due to this and the need for improved pathways/water or something. No. 1 complaint I hear about WNW.
  9. I agree that a credit surcharge is ridiculous in this day/age for PayPass/Paywave, for the holiday/peak season it slows the lines down. As for the rounding issue it is automatic in the POS, the staff have the capacity to adjust it so if it matters to you ask them too. They will/are being advised they are supposed to do it for customers without prompting.
  10. The new opening date for Lego is Christmas (previously listed as November). I personally think the park will be open by Dec 1, although I hope sooner.
  11. I speculated those exact options the other day with some friends... I think they will build a more permanent wall between Buzzsaw and TRR if they go the first option. It wouldn't surprise me if they closed off the whole area but they were testing BuzzSaw recently.
  12. Regararding Kevil. I heard that the licensing was renewed recently however they planned to just keep it as a scare attraction for Screamworld. With no current Screamworld dates for the year and Zombies will be branded as insensitive by many and the media I highly doubt we will see the attraction reopen in its current form again.
  13. I wil be there the first day they reopening, as a very frequent visitor to the parks since the age of 12 and being friends with many staff this incident has hit me surprisingly hard. I confirmed this morning once the reopening plan is finalised it will be made public immediately.
  14. Not that much of a difference in these circumstances, I doubt they will leave it SBNO for a long period. With the QPS announcing they have completed onsite investigations I wouldn't be surprise to see it happen fairly quick.
  15. Just in case you haven't seen, there is currently a Groupon deal for the resort. https://www.groupon.com.au/deals/ga-sea-world-resort
  16. True, Dreamworld will be walking on eggshells for the next year in regards to the media.
  17. Very much like your idea @Slick, have any friends in senior positions at Ardent? I agree with @Ashley. Someone told me lego construction is currently on hold (unsure if true) but I think you can't stop progress and I personally think that the park should reopen this weekend. I expect it to reopen prior to schoolies.
  18. ^ Don't exaggerate, won't be 90% for atleast a few more years ? Slightly off topic for this thread but I think DC is why the park will retain Warner Bros. licensing/partnership long term. Would be love to see a new DC Heroes area if similar to the standard of Supervillans.
  19. Funnily enough they used to have a western show not that long ago. Budget cuts apparently :/ They do that during the parade and have for quite a while...
  20. Yeah, big downtime list for this month. I wonder why they are keeping the Villains area closed, Doomsday I can understand due to technical issues it has been having but why the entire area. Most of the figures appear to work without issue (have seen Joker/Harley not work/need a reset). Even if the figures do not work many guests just like viewing them/taking photos with them.
  21. I was at Sea World last thursday, saw all Seal/Dolphin/Penguin Feeding shows. All usual crowd numbers in my experience for a mid week visit. I also attended Fright Night with a friend on Friday and must agree with you there, she speculated it was because a massive storm was on the radar. (no idea if thats true)
  22. When I visited Movie World I certainly did not see an obvious visual drop, both during day hours and for the FN event on Saturday. I think possibly because a next campaign isnt ready yet either (VIP w/one free entry to White Christmas if like last year)
  23. Worth noting despite being removed as planned it seems they have now changed their mind (or were misleading people to sign up ASAP).
  24. Similar to the email sent to passholders the following has been emailed to members today.
