  1. If this has been mentioned before then I'm sorry La Ronde will welcome The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, live! A new interactive experience, in 2009 only! Inspired by the successful blockbuster film with the same name, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, live! is an approximately three hundred square meter walk-through in which visitors will encounter many characters in a novel and extraordinary atmosphere full of surprises, thrills and mystery. La Ronde will become the second theme park in the world to host this attraction. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, live! will be open to La Ronde visitors for a limited time—June 19 to September 7, 2009, only—before it heads for another theme park on its world tour. La Ronde recently reached an agreement to that effect with New York based Sudden Impact Entertainment Company (SIEC), a producer that works very closely with Universal Studios. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, live! was inaugurated a few weeks ago in Australia. It can accommodate between 500 and 700 people an hour. Sudden Impact!’s Chairman & CEO, Lynton V. Harris, who is described as the “Scare Master,” created the experience. He has transformed the haunted house concept to produce spectacular interactive experiences and attractions, including The Mummy live! and The Mummy Returns live! have toured all over the world. In the film The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the third instalment of the popular series, the action takes place in Asia. Brendan Fraser's character, Rick O’Connell, wins the battle with Emperor Han, this time with the help of Rick’s son, Alex. An irony of fate is that the film was partially shot in Montréal. “The fact that La Ronde recently reached an agreement with SIEC and indirectly with Universal confirms that the park has become one of international calibre over the last few years,” its president, Marc Tremblay, points out. “The groundbreaking interactive experience of The Mummy is a huge addition to the increasingly amazing and diverse range of entertainment we provide,” he adds.
  2. From your pictures it looks like the park featured pedal bikes (A massive health and safety risk) and a swimming pool... I know most kids would prefer a much more hands on park experience perhaps with roller coasters and a water slide capable of launching uphill
  3. Yeah I found the thread it was brought up in; http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/index.php?s...+queensland+150 A thread you even commented on. I realise that that was not the reason for starting the thread at all, I thought I should just clarrify. And yeah, Dreamworld gained a whole three positions. I'll put a softdrink in the fridge. *Back to the future song
  4. Like how Nickelodeon must get a massive influx of adults who have been drinking watching Spongebob at 2am like me. The show gets better the higher your blood alcohol I swear
  5. No intention to shoot you down, but this has already been mentioned before... I remember asking why the two water parks were put together
  6. Quick question; on The Claw, they have a booth next to the entry/exit and one on the other side. Why is there a second one?
  7. Because 100,000 friends will make a comapny go, "Jesus, we better get a 100 million dollar themepark down there quick!" I hardly think that a facebook petition is going to work, even petitions aimed at facebook dont work. I.e the "We want the option to change back to old facebook" group with several million members. Oh, and welcome.
  8. Yeah, Snack Attack is good value I thought. The food shop down in the remainders of River town before MDMC was better value.. but alas, its changed now.
  9. I doubt Movieworld would build another water ride in the same area as another one, interesting theory though. If they were to build one, I doubt the park would just build a flat ride, so a mountain would be in order...which would look very interesting next to WWF.
  10. Why would you say that when Doc Brown is probably still haunting these forums!
  11. I have a quick side question, when your walking over the train tracks near the giant drop, you can see what looks like a delapetated old wooden walkway/bridge over the tracks further along. Assuming that was the old route down to log flume, what were the other paths and stuff along there like? (like was ther raised walkways or what)
  12. You havent been to Six Flags in Peak Season have you. Theres nothing excellent about it.
  13. I like the tropical paradise look alot better than the mud and grass lawns that it was themed to last time I was there.
  14. That's a valid point I guess, but in reality, Doc Brown is a good percentage of all users.
  15. Plus rival81 joined one day before mrt was last seen. Then there was a long silence before rival81 started talking and started with grammar so perfect it was suspicious.. which has slowly been going down hill. Then he comments on a topic which has been long since been dead and buried, which no one would possibly want to comment on.
  16. Now I know I always jump to these conclusions, and pretty much I'm always right. rival81 is Doc Brown. There's just something similar about the way they type... not their spelling, but something.
  17. Does no one else use Avid? I feel left out now
  18. I think Dreamworld considered the idea of a Motorcoaster repair simulator at one point, to go between the Laser Squirmish and Flowrider, but in front of the bowling and Red Line.
  19. None the less surely the hydraulics can cause problems on very cold mornings and could make operation difficult at the start of the day wouldn't it?
  20. Personally I like Lethal Weapon at about midday on a hot day, when the bees nesting at the top are at the peak of the pissed off-ness.
  21. Boomerang at KBF was like being stabbed by millions of little needles in the face and hands
  22. When Shark Bay first opened, I remember hearing about a Shark Cage experience, did I imagine that and/or is it still available?
  23. Now this might be reaching, but most the rides in Nick Central are going into maintenance over the next month or so, perhaps they are adjusting them so that their lines and exits and stuff exit away from the possible location (Chalk Zone are) so that when construction starts the rides dont have to close, they just have to close the section of paths. There only going down for a couple of days each (For painting and restoration) but I think this would fit into their timeline pretty well. Sound far fetched? Also, I agree that the ride could easily be themed to Jimmy Neutron.
  24. Well at this point, a member who joined yesterday and cant even form a single sentence doesn't have much credibility when it comes to attractions which haven't even started construction.
  25. Am I the only one that found this funny? Six Flags went bust dude, they carved up some theme parks and sold off half a dozen others just in order to keep the big ones running. Don't forget the unfixed hurricane damaged park in New Orleans or the atrocious safety and injury count across the board. Great parks yes, but only because they get so many guests. If Dreamworld was capable of taking 20 000+ people, it would be a great park. Like how suddenly there are a whole group of new members a few weeks after mrt finally got kicked and they all either seem to have poor spelling or start brand new over used threads. /rants
