  1. Thanks! Nice video and lovely quality And was that audio I heard in the shed part? Cool!
  2. So I just found out about this park (I live in QLD) but it seems to me like this is a big gamble for a smallish park considering W&WS has the potential to take away a BIG chunk of their clientele no?
  3. Unfortunately there's an element of truth to what he said. I somehow doubt MW and DW would put in a wooden coaster over a steel coaster for the same price because there is a good chunk of the general population who wouldn't be bothered with an "old looking wooden coaster". DW seem to recognise this too, I mean they did put in a big circular steel coaster in the gold rush area lol.
  4. It's both actually. But I mean fantasy should also mix with reality shouldn't it because if these parks were smart, they WOULD put up the $$ for a big new ride each. The parks could be taking a lot more people but they're only as a big as they want to be and if they don't expand they won't grow. Simples.
  5. Yes GL was $10 million but it's a compact coaster...don't we want something sprawling and epic this time?
  6. A $3 million roller coaster would be good for AW but not MW or DW imo... They'd realistically have to spend 15$ for a decent coaster. At the bare minimum these days.
  7. For me... MW = a woodie in the western area to give that area another ride and plus Australia doesn't really have a woodie (i don't think) so it would be unique - at least to the coast parks. DW = B&M something like Leviathan in Canada's Wonderland which looks *amazing*. Of course, those two likely won't happen given the parks tiny budgets but if they had the money those would be the rides they should get imo.
  8. I don't agree. Just look at all the decisions made by Dream world (doing everything as cheap as possible) to know that they're never going to inject a lot of money into the place of "expand" like MW did 5 years ago and are doing now. Plus they just spent a whopping $7 million (remember this is a lot of money for these tightasses) on the Crudsaw so don't expect any new "thrill" rides for at least 2-3 years. And when that time comes around, don't get your hopes up for anything good. Sorry to be negative but I'm just calling it as I see it. No agenda here.
  9. I rode it with my whole family last time I was there in 09. It was something you could do with everyone. I guess the "slow boat" no longer fits in Dreamworld's vision for filling the park with sub-standard "thrill rides" like the Motocoaster.
  10. Dreamworld's days as the #1 theme park in Australia are well and TRULY behind. Over the past ten years, they have made some awful decisions - three very very average (and some below average) coasters in the form of the Motocoaster, Cyclone and Buzzsaw. They should have saved all that money and put it toward something *amazing* but they have treated the general public with contempt because in their opinion, they set the standard. In the same timeframe, Movie World installed the amazing Scooby Doo coaster, Superman coaster, Batwing and Green Lantern - with another amazing dark ride on the way. They went from being second to DW to being the clear cut winning park. And the future looks even brighter for MW while it looks very very bleak for DW given their incredibly poor investments and no clear vision for the park other than tear down nostalgia to make way for bright, colourful but average attractions. I will likely not return to DW for at least 5 years (my last trip was in 2009) or until they install something that grabs my interest. Movie World, for the first time, has me rushing to renew my VIP pass for the second year in a row #teamMW
  11. TROLL ALERT. TROLL ALERT. TROLL ALERT.
  12. Congrats on the success Gosh time goes fast though.
  13. Radiator Springs looks absolutely EPIC. The attention to detail is simply unparalleled by any other theme park.
  14. ^ dream world employee? Pray do tell, what world firsts has "dream" "world" had recently...or in the last 16 years? lol
  15. $109 is a joke? Really? Talk about storm in a teacup.
  16. No news but ill ask on saturday when I'm going
  17. Sea world needs some more damn rides. I went a few weeks ago....Sea viper was closed and jet rescue was down. The only thing that was working was the flume ride and being a hot sunday, it took an hour + to get on the thing and thats with it being so high capacity. Ridiculous that a park that used to have so many cool rides only had one operating.
  18. Why is Sea world getting such budget attractions? Movie World seems to get all the $$$ these days. NOT COOL.
  19. There is no larger image dude, I copied it straight from the website. Thats all there is. All the information available was posted in this thread.
  20. Please...for the love of GOD do not compare this ride to Big Red Car lol...beyond off putting. I hope it'll be a proper track and not trackless. Trackless is less exciting.
  21. 3 sarcastic replies...great. I didn't realise the text was so small because it was copy/paste so not apologising.
  22. Aussie World's newest ride 'Plunge', now has a Sawmill for riders to float through. The Sawmill was recently added to enhance the look of the ride and to improve the rider's overall experience.
