Village Roadshow Limited (VRL) has secured a long-term management deal with Phoenix's Waterworld Safari water park today, with Village Roadshow stating that they wish to transform the park into a world-class venue. VRL will operate the Phoneix water park on behalf of the Maricopa County Parks & Recreation Department. Village Roadshow Managing Director Graham Burke said, “The Phoenix transaction represents a major step forward in our plans to take our highly successful Gold Coast water park formula to the United States.” “The Phoenix market is a superb fit for our business, with its long hot summers and year-round warm climate. With nearly four point two million people living in the Phoenix metropolitan area, and over thirteen million overnight visitors to Phoenix each year, we have the vital ingredients in place to create something special,” he added. Village Roadshow plans to expand the park in 2009 and 2010 with a budget of twenty-five million dollars. Action-packed rides like ProSlide's Tornado and Superbowl are planned for the park. This buyout follows VRL's buyout of Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park in Oahu, Hawaii and a conditional agreement with Queensland's Aussie World earlier this year. Village Roadshow Limited will officially take control of the park from October 8 this year.

The Logo has been made and is Red & Black Also its gonna have a Dual Launch. Which means 2 launch parts for those people who dont know what it means and its gonna be very low to the ground from what i have heard

I just seen some concept art of the new coaster coming in 2009. Looks impressive to me. Here you all are if you haven't seen it yet. Its a Flying Coaster

Some Info and Updates on Jet Resuce: On Monday we saw Filming and a Photoshoot for the New Coaster being taken in the carpark at Seaworld. It Involved a special effects and lighting and It will be shown on TV and displayed on Buses, Bus shelters, Billboards and Park Maps. Keep you all posted.

I would say preparation for Main Street to be totally undercover from what I have heard

I went today and it was PACKED. Superman was shut until around 3PM Batwing never opened. Something wrong with it, they had to take the cables off it.

Something is deff going on. Im not sure what it is. There is a Huge Support Beam on the roof. Check the photo out. It really looks like a Coaster Support, not like a Building Support.

I was wrong about the date of Police Academy Closing, its the 30th April. New Show is called Hollywood Stuntdriver starting in October.

I have noticed 2 big cranes there over the past week. I Will get a shot tomorrow. I have no idea whats going on.

I heard the 1st of May the Police Academy will be closing. Anyone else know the date?

Just to make it Clear....This Coaster is not gonna be the one found on the picture when this post was first started.... Its not gonna be as big as that either. We are looking at a Family Coaster which will be placed inbetween Bermuda and Corkscrew... Not too sure on any water elements or which company is behind it. Apparently its opening this year.

Im all for it. I think it would be great.
