  1. Hey John, good job on cracking into grrofunger's account. How's 2036 treating you?
  2. David certainly seems to have lots of experience. https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-bakas-040a7016 I hope the two Western Sydney parks offer more of a full day experience than some of the Gold Coast parks at the moment.
  3. Random newb who can spell and write - I'm in! Welcome The Mousiah. We hope you have a pleasant stay in Sydney. Good luck with your parks. If you want any opinions or suggestions, we'll be right here.
  4. Well, the 2015 news was pretty good. Just got back from USS, so I was a bit distracted.
  5. That's huge news about 2015 and 2017 - fingers crossed. I'm sure you'll get plenty of suggestions as what to build. I thought it was also good news what was reported in the local media about the need for high capacity rides.
  6. Great job, Mark. Hopefully, not too many years until the next big attraction. Any thoughts on adding to or changing the wildlife area before then? It would be great to have a petting zoo, like Caversham has with the kangaroos. The koi pond wasn't the best last time I saw it, too.
  7. Is the topic: what you know will happen in Dreamworld in 2016 or is it speculation?
  8. On the other hand, it's always great to meet crew members from overseas. They always have an interesting take on things and great service skills. Best of luck, Ginni.
  9. Did OceanGirl work at the US parks?! I actually thought Alex was being polite this time.
  10. Don't really care about the IP, but it would be cool if it had a Robocoaster ride system like Harry Potter.
  11. I like the coaster suggestions so far. Anyone know where the shed and tree were removed from? http://pdonline.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/masterview/modules/propertymaster/default.aspx?page=wrapper&key=232692
  12. Congrats to Movie World and Rainbow's End in the latest IAAPA Brass Ring Awards http://www.iaapa.org/2015-brass-ring-winners
  13. I'd prefer a great Gerstlauer mine train-themed family coaster in the Wild West area, Plenty of coasters are built over the parks these days - that could be an option if they run out of space.
  14. No mention of price? I presume they won't give away the gate. It's good they're trying it in a limited way to start with.
  15. Not forgetting that you've travelled around the world to get there (have you planned time to rest after the flight?). I can't see how someone can go to more than one park in a day, unless it's to see a fireworks show at a neighbouring park. How many hours can you or your family last in any one day? I'm pretty exhausted after 7.
  16. Funfields and Adventure World are so similar already, now they're putting in rides with the same name?!
  17. Yeah, I prefer Virgin Australia thanks to their better product trans Australia. And, not that it has anything to do with flying in Queensland, Qantas has cancelled international flights out of Perth and transferred them to Jetstar Asia - so not a fan.
  18. More Kraken ads released on Adventure World's Facebook Page. The prologue on the animated version is pretty much word for word what you can hear waiting in the queue for the ride.
  19. Chipmunk reference and footage! ABC's retrospective on Perth's Royal Show. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-09-26/now-and-then---a-peek-into-perth-news-archives/6806610
  20. Sea World Resort is okay to stay at if you want to be close to Sea World. If you don't want to eat at the restaurant there you can always rent a room that has a kitchenette and buy your food elsewhere. One of my favourite places to stay at on the Gold Coast would have to be Azzura Greens Resorts, which is on Hope Island, about 5 minutes from DW and 10 minutes from MW. I rented a spacious three bedroom apartment last time and it even had its own laundry room inside the apartment. There's also a shuttle bus that runs from there to Outback Spectacular, if you want to drink during the dinner/show.
  21. Adventure World's burger options are pretty good and you get 25% off as a season pass member.
  22. The Ausparks crew seemed to have a good time there. https://www.facebook.com/ausparks/?fref=ts
  23. Adventure World posted this great highlights clip from Fright Nights on its Facebook Page. Fantastic event - I can't think of a better way to spend Halloween. https://www.facebook.com/AdventureWorldOfficialPage/?fref=nf
