  1. It's coming together quickly. Looks like they'll have plenty of time for finishing touches.
  2. ^Where did you park the Wagon Queen Family Truckster? 7 weeks to go. Looking forward to checking out all the changes. Just noticed that there's only one luge track on the picture above - weird.
  3. Adventure World posted this cool picture from above the park in 2005 on their Facebook Page, today. A lot's changed since then. I can't believe how empty Dragon's Kingdom was. It's also great to see the castle as well as Turbo Mountain. Adventure World has also confirmed that their kids' show is returning this season. I also wonder if they'll be trying anything new on their menu, especially after the success of their gourmet menu last year. I'm guessing Mark will make sure that the pulled pork burger isn't going anywhere.
  4. At least it's not Sky News' hard-hitting theme park journalism. I think a Rock n Tug is a good addition. It will be interesting to see how it all fits together.
  5. Which just leaves the Zamperla family gravity coaster... It'll look good, but will give you plenty of whiplash.
  6. I guess we know where they did their research, then. Looking forward to Sea World's Tea Cups ride and Zamperla Convoy, if that is the case.
  7. So a retheme of the Cyclone would be just some stickers and a paint job or could it involve a new train?
  8. Yeah, when I visited last year, I bought the annual pass and all my friends got the equivalent of the superpass that the RAC does. Worked out fine for me as I ended up visiting twice that year.
  9. The latest pictures from AW's Facebook page. Themeing looks great. Glad they've chosen some colours that will really suit the environment; it's better than the mix and match job that some parks do when they're putting in a slide. Those eyes are huge!
  10. I wonder how they are going to theme the Rock N Tug. It's looking very plain at the moment.
  11. Versus Disney guests, today.. http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/brawl-between-3-women-epcot-caught-video/nm63R/
  12. And I'll bet they'll still do something that will surprise us.
  13. ^ Yeah, I wasn't. I know people who refuse to catch it from up on the hill, despite the queue being about twenty minutes shorter.
  14. You probably have to walk further to the DK chairlift station, anyway. Just realised the sign said 'Australia's Best Waterslide.' You want to tackle that one, Gazza?
  15. Makes you wonder if the big drop comes after the 360. Capacity will probably be affected by the amount of people who can hike back up to the top in a hurry.
  16. Love the Giant Drop. If I was spending $9 million dollars it wouldn't be on building a theme park ride. What am I - Cartman from South Park? You gotta admire those people who go into the theme park business. It wouldn't be easy.
  17. Wonder what the weight limit is going to be.. lots of Adventure World's tubes top out at an average of 90kg per person.
  18. Okay, this is getting me confused.. when does one wear the hi-vis vest as opposed to a normal one? http://www.communitynews.com.au/news/Get-set-for-adrenalin-rush/7672931
  19. Some of the original ads said late September, but I'd settle for early October. It would be great to ride during Fright Nights.
  20. Looks exciting. They certainly weren't there the other day. Adventure World shouldn't open attractions in December as half the season would be lost. A queue down the hill is bigger than you think.
  21. Straight from the press release.. http://www.experienceperth.com/travel-information/experience-perth-blog/2015/07/17/worlds-biggest-mega-slide-coming-to-adventure-world More coverage here: http://www.ausleisure.com.au/news/adventure-world-to-open-mega-waterslide/
  22. I actually think Adventure World should commission local composer Iain Grandage to create music for the park. Here's something he composed for the Shire of Mundaring. The guy's a genius.
