  2. You took the effort of creating a spreadsheet and putting work into it and yet you can't even remember what prices you chose? Or you know, get the spreadsheet from the recycle bin.
  3. That's because the mountain is just a store room/small maintenance area now.
  4. This photo scares me the most with the button labels on the suspended loop coaster.
  5. So yeah, this maybe needs it's own thread, but since I can't move old posts, apologies in advance for continuing it here, can it maybe be split off to "What's your preference of track style"? Personally, I'm comparing these styles of track. To me, the Mack track looks more manoeuvrable and faster. However, to me, the B&M looks like it would take up more of the skyline due to its thicker track and thereby make it look more imposing from the ground. I wouldn't say it looks "cheaper" in any way. I'd assume in monetary value, the less steel would actually make it cheaper to construct, but it doesn't look "cheaper" in the shitty way. It's kind of like comparing a sports car (Intamin/Mack) to a heavy haul truck (B&M). Both are impressive in their own rights.
  6. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/dataroom/ardent-leisure-eyes-dreamworld-sale/news-story/ba288feac397b10aeffcd75506d588fe Sometimes it opens behind a paywall, sometimes it doesn't. But it's the same article.
  7. Speaking of comparisons, and I can guarantee someone is going to take this the wrong way and have a go at me for it, but, does anyone else look at the Mack and Intamin track and while the coaster is going to be incredibly awesome in its own way, their style of track just doesn't present the same "wow" factor the box style of B&M track does?
  8. It doesn't really matter how old the theme is. It's a pretty generic theme for a park flume. Aren't flumes usually wild west or jungle themes these days? (I haven't really kept up on the flume theming world)
  9. Yes. There's so extra to the story that I can't remember exactly, but I think it was that WWW was more marketable or something. Or maybe I'm imagining that was the story.
  10. They were on site a few weeks/month back looking at the toppers, so I'd say these are staying.
  11. Yeah, but even the poll in the theme thread has SS leading over joker, so surely it would have made more sense to go with that. But yeah, good on them for writing an article that didn't mention TRR.
  12. Where did anyone come to the conclusion that is getting called "The Joker"?
  13. I'd say you could look back through most of the thread and people would have just replaced "I think the theme could be X" with "I think the theme should have been X". When the announcement is made, plenty of people will find some crap to waffle on about for another hundred pages.
  14. Yeah, but you're already talking about splitting the Suicide Squad up to focus on Harley. I'm saying as a whole, Batman has more longevity and marketing power than Suicide Squad. I mean hell, most of SS advertising was just "check out how hot Margot Robbie is in short shorts". Hmm.... an advertising campaign seemingly not taken seriously and doing any actual work to promote the product..... did Movie World hire the creative agency behind the Suicide Squad advertising?
  15. It's also a pretty average rated movie. 3.5/5 on Rotten Tomatos 6.3/10 on IMDB Compare that to Batman Dark Knight Rises 4.3/5 on Rotten Tomatos 8.5/10 on IMDB Give it a year or less and most people will have all but forgotten about Suicide Squad whereas Batman and associated characters will still be just as popular as ever. IMO the safer bet is some kind of Batman themed coaster.
  16. We're also on Australia's largest (and only?) theme park forum. Of course we're going to be talking about it.
  17. Convenient name and actually pretty close isn't it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shades_of_pink#Steel_pink Not saying this is the correct colour, just found the name convenient.
  18. I think you've pretty much just described every job, not just marketing I'm really hoping to be blown away by some massive campaign then have lined up for this, or in my opinion, it's time for a new creative agency to get on board and help them out a bit. Why they're not even doing something as simple as teasing the theme is beyond me at the moment. Let's say for example the theme is Ironman. (Obviously it can't be but I'm saying that as to not start a theme debate in the wrong thread). They could add in posters around the park with theme hints like the arc reactor, or the iconic eyes etc. Wouldn't need anything else, no text etc, just something that makes people stop and go "I wonder if..."
  19. Welcome to the internet. No one's a special sausage. Everyone gets the same treatment in the same way I would be happy to be called out on anything (when it's justifiable - so not just "I don't like you" comments etc).
  20. Where exactly is the assumption being made? Is that = a question. The poster is unsure if his/her comments are accurate and is seeking to engage others to enlighten him/her on the facts he/she seeks. it look so like it has Aircon = a statement showing the poster is uncertain, but in their opinion the image shows the presence of an air conditioner unit affixed to the roof of the train. If anything, it seems more that "You assumed wrong lol" in that you assumed the poster was making an assumption about the intended destination of the monorail train shown in the photo.
  21. The ride is due open at Warner Bros. Movie World in September.....and due to be announced in December.

  23. I'm assuming there's going to be some sliding gates either side of that fence @AlexB At least i'm hoping so. Perfect timing, as above lol haha emoji #insidejoke
  24. I've seen the VRTP adds a bit lately on TV and there's one thing that really bugs me with them. It's like they don't want people to go to Paradise Country. "visit Movie World, Sea World, Wet N Wild, ...... "and more"". While displaying the Paradise Country logo on screen. "and more". They're advertising the 4th of their 4 theme parks as "and more". Not as Paradise Country, just as "and more". So in their eyes, much like Ol' Pinky, it doesn't seem worth mentioning.
