Dreamworld Lego Store - reviews and opinions
Reanimated35 replied to Jamberoo Fan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
How many keyboards do you go through each week typing these long ass posts you make on here? Since I'm a reasonably nice guy, I'll try to save you some cash. I did also try to find a place that would offer a massage for your fingers since I'm sure they need a break, but Googling "finger massage Sydney*" just yields a bunch of massages with happy endings, but maybe that's what you need too. To be perfectly honest, I can't remember the last time I actually read any of your posts. They're just too long. (That's what she said) I thought @AlexB was bad, but far out dude, just ease up. *Assumption made that you're in/near Sydney. -
Haha. I got some tweaking to do first. New monitor is 4K. Computer not too happy with running PC in 4K with the other two monitors still in use. Getting around 35-45fps. Down from the 60-70 I was getting before But, where there's a will, there's a way. What's this community you speak of wanting?

Ouch. That's expensive. (Says the guy who just dropped $700 on a new monitor). -

Given the Lego site shows it as a "retired product" it might be a worthy investment for the future. The disney castle was $500 online, didn't see any prices in store though, but didn't look too hard. I'd guess somewhere around $300-400 for the opera house. -
Possibly, I'll have a look tonight. One thing I've noticed about PC is there seems to be a lot of categories for content that doesn't exist yet, annoyingly a lot of it could be very beneficial to this park. I guess it will come out later in DLC or free updates. At least I hope so.

Just got here. Had about a 2 minute wait to get in. Store looks good, very crowded. Plenty of stock so if you're not a die hard Lego fan, give it a few weeks and go check it out. For the record, I didn't buy the Disney Castle. Decided it wasn't worth it. -
Haha can't help you there, but I do have an old R9 290 lying around somewhere I think if you're after something cheap.
-
Alright @YLFATEEKS this is going to be an expensive week. So, what were you looking to have shared? I think I've also decided that I've come too far to be bothered starting again anyway @Gazza and there's still a chance I'll get bored and never finish it. With that said, I think I'll keep this as a "based on a true story" kind of park rather than a "documentary". A lot of it will probably be a fair way outside my skill set to replicate as it is, so this will be reasonably close in layout and ride terms, but still different in the end. Cheers for the suggests and help though.

Probably somehow yeah, I'll have a look later. Currently trying to decide on a new monitor and forgot I still have the game running in the background.
-
So how do you factor in the correct size blocks to that grid? The usable area in this PC map layout is approximately 180*210 blocks. For reference if it help, GL is roughly 22*9 for track and supports.
-
I completely understand what you're saying in theory, but actually putting that in practice I wouldn't really know how to do it. What I've done at the moment is shrunk down the entry building so I should be able to re-scale the store a bit from that. Plus I've only got access to either google maps or the 2015 DNRM maps and google's seem to be easier to navigate and move around in. (The theming needs to be finished on the 2nd half of the building now)
-
Yeah that's the problem I'm having is the scale of everything. I know I'm not going to get it right. These areas especially are bugging me. Problem is, I'm not that great at this kind of stuff, so if you've got any suggestions on what you think I could change, I'm happy to give it a shot

Yeah see I was even thinking buy one keep one, but I don't think I can justify $1k on it haha. One set I could probably go with, but two is just a little too much haha. -

Yeah but isn't that if you don't open it? I'd want to build it. In saying that, I've had these sitting on my desk for a year or so. -
Just because the Hyper will exist prior to me finishing this, no, no I will not be including it. HOWEVER, if you ask nicely, I might throw in some footers and construction fencing

So for you guys who are there, how much is that Disney Castle set? -
Wouldn't this just be part of the toilet upgrade that was started months ago?
-
That's actually half a good question. If you ignore the first part of your post that was already answered. How DO they evac GD?

I'm not too happy with the scale of the DC store but I can work on that. If anyone has pics of it, that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It amazes me the number of times I go on rides and people still hang on for the whole duration of anything. That's what the harness is there for.
