  1. Is it more so because those toilets are open and this is serving as a construction fence in the meantime?
  2. The game is highly CPU intensive. This is running on ultra and on an empty park only gets 85fps. If I turned off the 2 other screens and lowered the gfx I could probably bump that up, but I prefer to play in borderless window mode so I can multitask.
  3. ^ I wasn't meaning necessarily immediate construction, I was talking in the future, what do we think/guess might pop up there.
  4. It seems to be a giant chain-link fence. Possibly just better bracing on it given its height?
  5. Thanks @themagician for the Nearmap pic. Based on my previous guess for the location of Top Golf, and what we have seen as far as the coaster construction goes, we have a decent chunk of land stuck between the two. We've all heard reports of the "Lakeside Precinct" and the hotel development, but what do we think is going in the yellow zone below? One rumour has it $500m is being spent on the park and these new attractions. Red: Coaster Yellow: ?????? Blue: Top Golf
  6. Seems a bit lazy really. May as well have "The Town Of Gold Rush Rapids Ride"? or, "The Ocean Parade Gyro Swing".
  7. Speaking of, can someone please post or PM me the most up to date Nearmap shot of this whole area. Cheers.
  8. It may not be intended, but they seem to be giving off that "look at us, we're so edgy" vibe. Maybe that suits their target market, maybe not, maybe I'm just interpreting it wrong, who knows.
  9. Despite the standard negative connotations to it, Sizzler will always hold a special cheesy-toasty place in my heart, and while the food wasn't always the best, it was still decent enough at a decent price. I hadn't actually considered Coffee Club as we're not huge coffee drinkers (well, despite the fact she's a barista, she actually hates coffee), but, if it's enough to go on a list of things you seem to think are cheap and nasty, it's probably quite a good option for us. The less money we spend on fancy food, the more money we can save and spend on important things like holidays and random tech gadgets. Cheers for the suggestion. Also we don't really buy in to the whole commercialisation of valentines day. Since when do you need 1 specific day of the year to show your love for your partner by taking them to a dinner where you get to pay inflated prices just because of the date?
  10. Yeah I have to agree there. Being a theme park fan has nothing to do with my opinion on this. The only connection it had was that I saw it because I like the Dreamworld Facebook page and saw the post pop up. My wife doesn't like theme parks at all. It's always a struggle to drag her along to one for any reason. Yes, this is a very good offering from the park, at an excellent price point. But, being a theme park fan or not doesn't really change whether or not you like seafood and wine. Also, $350 for Valentine's Day dinner? Stuff that, I'd pay maybe $60 at somewhere like hogs breath, otherwise we both agree it's just a waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere. (Not on lotto tickets either).
  11. That's because you can't rock up 30 minutes late to a rollercoaster after it's closed and still expect to ride it The capacity is because we're talking about Overall rankings in this debate. So the capacity of the ride makes it more favourable when comparing it to another ride.
  12. I looked at this yesterday - If it wasn't for the fact it is on a Tuesday, and it was basically nothing but seafood, and it's a wine package, Wifey and I would have considered going. Maybe next time they can work out something that doesn't polarise people like mentioned above.
  13. Keep in mind, it was more of a test run. I wouldn't think that if they did it again next year they'd have it exactly the same. I'd like to hope they've learned a lot about what does and doesn't work so they can adjust. I'd be very disappointed to see a clone of the same thing next year as it was already a copy/paste job from MW to begin with. I think it's time they look at it and start fresh, consider it a new event and build it from the ground up.
  14. It's literally been 6 hours since the other thread was posted. There's a large number of members who would not have even signed back in to Parkz yet to know the thread exists and cast their vote. Surely you could have waited two or three days like last time. I fear an influx of daily "X vs X" posts now.
  15. The park map you linked, which is the updated one, clearly shows no green paths in the Gold Rush area....
  16. So, what do we have here.... Stats (RRRC / EFM) Length: 335 / 341 Speed: 45 / 41 Duration: 1:06 / 1:30 Theming: LT fits in well / What theming? On paper, they're pretty evenly matched. It really comes down to personal preference and comfort. I'm going to put my vote towards RRRC as IMO it really is more of a easy entry point to the world of coasters. Some kids/families won't like the idea of being on a suspended coaster, especially if they're new to them. I view both these rides as kids rides that are a gateway to bigger things, and RRRC really caters more as a gentle beginning for all ages. Not only that, but it's already a winner with the LT theming, and who doesn't love some LT.
  17. But.... you were able to upload the video to Parkz, yet you can't upload it to YouTube?
  18. If only there was a place on the internet where you could upload content with moving pictures and share them all over the world.
  19. How did we go from a duplicate thread about the AA stoppage, to discussing safe travelling distances while driving?
  20. Ok, so let me preface this by saying there's almost a 99.99% chance this will never get finished or go anywhere, but I started it because I've got nothing much else to do for the next week or so sitting at home.
