  1. The Batman Adventure Ride was the best attraction at Movieworld, nothing will ever top it.
  2. I think for BATR2, It should be made an updated sim themed as the new Batman movie coming out, kind of like they did for the first Batride..they opened it right after Batman Returns was released.
  3. Hey man, I don't blame you. It's the sentimental feeling more than anything else. I love the atmosphere and the setting, as well as the idea of chasing villains around Gotham City. I am a huge Batman fan, which locks it in even more for me, I suppose it's not the simulator itself that I love, but more the surroundings...That's how I felt about LTRR as well. I've been on better ride's, like Star Tours...but I'm not a big SW buff, so that doesn't have the same value to me if that makes sense. In any case, to each their own.
  4. Me too, congrats dude! I was just letting off a little steam, much like a moody teenager would.
  5. LOL! I think my Movieworld days are over to be honest, they don't offer what I want anymore. Batman Adventure is what kept me going back all these years. Now it's over, like in Backdraft...they said, "You go, I go". No coaster can make me feel differently, I'm not a coaster guy....definitely not a Green Lantern fan either. It's a shame that Movieworld has no family rides anymore, that's what their target audience used to be. Family's. Now it's moody teenagers with their heads stuck in their Iphones all day long...woohoo. :angry2:
  6. They are exactly the same, all of the sets were left untouched. Aside from the Wayne Manor library, all that is different is they added a TV screen in which the first preshow takes place. Of course since 2001 the Batman animatronic is motionless, and particularly the module B-105 is very run-down, squeaky and such. Avoid it. Keep at the front of the line if your going for a final ride so you can have a better experience. If I remember correctly, B-103 or 4 is the best one. I'm contemplating getting a 1 day pass just to have a final ride...
  7. I was talking about the sides of the "Tracking Modules", the pieces with the missiles and Bat symbols. In the original ride it was shown as a full vehicle, which in my opinion looks pretty cool. Very Star Tours-ish.
  8. Great thread, but Disney standards? I don't think so... Have you ever been to Disneyland dude? lol!
  9. I hope before it closes someone will do the honours of recording it and posting the footage on YouTube. "No filming" is just a formality now, seeing as it's closing. Someone pull out your IPhone and go to town. I'm very dissapointed about all of this, but on the bright side maybe I'll get to see how the facades really are when they are pulled out, that'll help me enhance my next model build if I do one. Maybe MW will auction off certain pieces from the ride like they did with Police Academy...never know. It's still a really sad thing for me, without Batman I really don't have a motivation to go to MW anymore. It's just not me to go on rides for thrill only, I like the atmosphere of dark rides and the elements, not to mention a STORY. That made it memorable for me as a kid, the thrills, well thats a bonus. I remember when I was a kid always being nervous and excited to go on it. Oh well.
  10. I check the site every day. I was a bit late I suppose. It's a really sad thing for me personally, because I had sort of an emotional connection to that ride. It was my first ever theme park ride, and I am a big Batman fan. I really prefered the original Batman Returns version, but nonetheless it's a similar experience in the exact setup as the original. I've been such a fan of it, that I've actually had models of the "Tracking Module" made for display in my collection, and of course you all know that I'm the dude who went through with his camera a few times...the other ride closures didn't mean anywhere near as much as this one to me. It really is the end of an era, for me personally and the attraction itself. Time to grow up I guess.
  11. That's it, totally it. I'm not renewing my annual pass now, MW can go lick a pine tree. Thanks Movieworld for slowly chewing up my childhood memories, and then finally spitting the last one out. Movieworld has totally turned into Boganworld. Guy's, I'm sorry if this seems harsh but as soon as I saw this I felt like I was punched in the stomach. That was one of the last rides I could actually go on with my dad, now we're only left with WWF...THAT'S IT! So Movieworld won't be taking any money from me in the future. Management now are clearly just a bunch of rednecks with no true WB grandeur to speak of...rollercoaster this, stunt driver that! All they want is the big mamoo, well they aren't getting mine!
  12. Star tours 2 is bossssss. I love the part when you go and see darth vader and he's all like, yo maings you gots an imposter but then the mealenium fallcon takes off and we're all like yeeewwww and its great and whatnot flying through the air in space. weeeeeeee YEHOO!
  13. Instead of Batman we need to have a car racing themed ride because that's what movies are all about.
  14. That would be a pretty cool concept, as long as it's Looney Tune themed...maybe something to do with Elmer Fudd.. I think the whole park should be re-named Batman World and every ride be themed to Batman, but hey that's me.
  15. Hey Oceangirl, If you have any pics of those attractions, particularly Batman. Please post them up, I'd love to see what it used to be like!!
  16. I think they should put in another Polar Bear exhibit. Now THAT would be cool!
  17. I think they will probably put in a Star Tours 2 or a Batman Adventure the ride 3.
  18. It's a place you can buy things from. Like...just a shot in the dark here...um, newspapers. LOL!
  19. Dude, whatever. Your the one throwing a hissy fit about old signage that Movieworld hasnt gotten around to replacing yet.
