I couldn't agree more.

People are very thick!

If they were recreating the old Wipeout logo purely for fun / social purposes, it wouldn't be technically legal but I doubt Dreamworld would be all that bothered. If they're using it on items they're selling, that's a different matter! Unless they have permission from Dreamworld, they could very well find themselves in significant legal difficulties!

I'd be more than happy to see something even better of course. -

The way to state your opinion was something like "Personally I didn't enjoy Beatbox. I thought (insert what you didn't like about Beatbox)". -

Can I suggest you look up the definition of "opinion". It's obviously not something you're familiar with, but you will be absolutely amazed. -

It may amaze you, but believe it or not, I am actually every bit as entitled to have an opinion as you are! I know that's hard to believe, but it's absolutely true. -

Ah. Now it makes sense! -
I saw Heartland again last night. Maybe they've done some fine tuning as it seemed much easier to follow the storyline of the show. Still not as good as High Country Legends in my opinion, but not bad. I was really hoping that by now they'd have come up with another song for the end of the show, but once again it was "I still call Australia home"! It's a great song, but there are many others that would be at least as suitable, maybe more so. One other observation. I know I've previously commented about how good the projection mapping was, but now I'm not entirely sure there even was any. Without a doubt there are amazing effects the way they've projected images onto both the front wall and the floor, but is it projection mapping, or just projections? Having seen some Youtube videos of Projection mapping used elsewhere, I'd say it's just projections really. Still very impressive though!

Agreed. Just the first thing that came to mind, but I'm certain another indoor show could be arranged. -

The best entertainment I have ever seen at any theme park was the BeatBox show and the following year another one that was nearly as good called the Fire Machine. Not the same as Consentino, but I'd love to see another show like those! -
It appears (according to the Experience Oz site) it closed 18th April.

I'm not at all surprised by this. How long was Draculas open? Cetainly over a decade at least. There's a lesson in this for other tourism businesses (theme parks included). If visitor numbers are dropping, but the attraction has been proven a success for many years (which Draculas owners said on Facebook was the case prior to its closure), the answer may be to invest in the business, not replace it with something that may not prove to be as successful as what was already there! The haunted house could have continued to be successful, and attracted many more visitors for decades to come, if the owners had just invested in new technology and refreshed it from time to time! There's all sorts they could have done. Basically though it was an awesome attraction, and it's very sad to see it go (the haunted house, not the stupid place where you could pay to use your own phone to take photos of yourself in front of pathetic cutouts)! The Trickpic Facebook page has a post as recent as late March, so it must have closed very recently. However the Facebook page gives no indication it has closed!

Dreamworlds new pricing

My current pass is valid until 30th June, but I'm considering whether to buy a new one while this offer is on. I've never done this before, so does anyone know what happens in regards to the existing pass (can the new pass be valid from after the old one expires)? Also, I've just looked on the Dreamworld site and while kids passes are $109, adults are $129. Where did you see adults at kids prices? -
Of course, I was joking!

Dreamworld Neon Nights Returns

I find it very odd how people behave. For many months there's rarely been any significant queue for any rides at Dreamworld, obviously because a lot of people chose not to visit the park. Now there's a night event, it's popular, so there's queues, and people complain! I just don't get it! (Yes, AlexB, I am aware that explains a lot to you). -

That's a completely normal marketing tactic that's used by many companies in leisure and tourism. It's like if you look at a particular flight on an online booking site and it says there's only a few tickets left, and then the next day there's more available. Same with hotel rooms, sports events etc. It's a bit dodgy in my opinion, but it's perfectly legal and normal. It's how companies get the most sales at the highest prices they can! -
Great points, very well articulated there Jobe!

Shhh! I might have heard a rumour from an anonymous insider. For only a small extra charge of $165 per hour, you'll be able to upgrade your shade and seating experience. The lucky guests who purchase this special experience (to be marketed as "Cabanad 2.0") will be seated on the largest seats in the park (on the floor), and will enjoy the very best shade in any theme park in the world, as well as the supreme luxury of total privacy (they'll be covered by their own private solid metal box). To ensure that guests are able to enjoy this premium experience without being interrupted, the box will be secured with 2 large hardened steel padlocks for the duration of the hire period (available for 1, 2, or 3 hours). The metal boxes will be so solid that no light can penetrate them, and I'm told they'll also be completely soundproof and airtight. To celebrate the opening, one lucky passholder will be chosen at random when they arrive on opening day, to receive a complementary 3 hour box hire! 😷

New and very different attractions

I'm not really a coaster guy, but this is my kind of coaster! -
I'm sure the cages will be in place right from the start. It's a brand new attraction, so they must have done their research on things like that. I hope the cages will be as good as the ones on the log ride!
