Animal Activists now targeting farms!
pushbutton replied to pushbutton's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Well, it looks like it was the same people at the farms as the theme parks. Anyone want to donate? -
But imagine how awesome it will be when it does finally open! The seats will probably be the most comfortable you've ever sat on, and think about the shade too. Oh wow, what shade it will be! I just know it's gonna be worth the wait!

Just to avoid any doubt, I personally do not find it funny or amusing when people (such as AlexB or Skeeta): - Make assumptions about me. - Portray me as some sort of fool, or a kid. - Answer questions for me. I don't take it personally. My main concern is how completely pathetic that sort of thing makes Parkz look to anyone who happens to look at the forum. That includes people who actually hold senior positions with theme parks! Sadly, they must think we're all immature, and very unintelligent.
-
Understandable. It's usually pointless! However it's reassuring to be reminded that there are some genuine nice people here!
-
I apologise to anyone intelligent on behalf of Skeeta for the above post. Sadly, it probably won't be removed because in this forum (unlike most) it's deemed completely acceptable to insult other members like that. I'm embarrassed to be associated in any way with a few of the users of this site.

Consentino Live at Dreamworld
pushbutton replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Saw it this morning. I was impressed with the way they've converted the Brocks Garage into the theatre. Whilst that's obviously only a temporary setup, it looks and feels very much like a permanent theatre. Only thing missing is tiered seating. The seating is all on at one level, which of course means those at the back don't have quite as good a view. However they can still see the screens. The show itself? Ok. Nothing particularly amazing or different than I've seen before to be honest. Entertaining enough though. -
New and very different attractions
pushbutton replied to pushbutton's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I just watched the POV. Looks quite good. Still though, Universal must be absolutely in awe of the projection mapping on Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster "next generation"! -
Not until 6th May!
-
Not sure if this is the same group of morons that have recently caused havoc at several theme parks, or just another similarly minded pack of idiots. Either way, it does suggest the fines could also apply to any future theme park incidents involving animal activists.

It's all the Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays before the dreaded day that Dreamworld is f*****, but not including the next few. Seems very logical to me! 😐

I guess we'll have to be a bit patient with SkyVoyager then! -

Could turn out to be a world record! -
I'm just curious. Has anyone here experienced a theme park attraction (a ride or otherwise) that was very unique and completely unlike anything else they've heard of anywhere.

What's gone wrong with SkyVoyager?
pushbutton replied to pushbutton's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Seems safe to say SkyVoyager belongs in the same category as the 7D cinema at Pacific Fair. "Where's that?" Good question as it was announced, but never opened, and now many people aren't even aware it was going to open! -
What's gone wrong with SkyVoyager?

Wow. Not sure that's legal, and it's certainly not something I'd be interested in, but 10/10 for originality! 😆 -
I can get all the ingredients (1kg of sugar) for $1 at my nearest supermarket! Although dentist bill is about an extra $300 - $500, but that can be paid later!

Press Release Sea World to launch new Thunder Lake Stunt Show
pushbutton replied to Parkz News's topic in Theme Park Discussion
There was a very impressive Pirate show there not all that long ago, with a pirate ship on the island. Sea World can certainly do it. Or at least they used to be able to! -
Well, I'm glad I've got all the construction photos I posted on Parkz. Those will help keep the memories of this great ride alive. I've certainly had some good times with SkyVoyager over the months. It will be sadly missed.
-
Well this is beyond a joke! Just when I think I'm going to be allowed in they tell us SkyVoyager is closed due to "technical issues", and may or may not open later today. That's spoilt my day.
-
Well, it's certainly taken a while, but I'm at Dreamworld right now and at long last SkyVoyager is actually, finally open! I'm in the queue, which only has about 20 people at the moment. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

Dreamworld to build koala research facility
pushbutton replied to Brad2912's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I suppose once construction is completed, the Vintage Cars will be retired so the Koalas can be moved to their new home! -
What's gone wrong with SkyVoyager?

Less than 9 months till Boxing Day! -
Maybe the plan was people would see the signs all around the M1 inferring SkyVoyager was open and they'd all rush to buy annual passes (sorry, I mean "NEW Annual Passes"), then Dreamworld would use all the extra income to pay for SkyVoyager. Obviously as the money didn't come through as expected, they were unable to do so, which might be why it's not open! 😆

You should see the benches they're putting there. Maybe not quite a tour billion (or maybe it is as I never learnt the number tour at my primary school), but I had a sneak preview last weekend at my local Bunnings, and man are those benches or what! I think we'll all be very impressed. One day. Not necessarily at Dreamworld though.

It also needs a plan, and to tell the public what the plan is!
