Can't find a quick way to copy the relevant inage on my phone right now, but on the Dreamworld Facebook page they're saying "Dreamworld is hot property", in reference to the new Gold Coast version of the Monopoly game. I hope I'm reading too much into this! 😀

Are most people incredibly thick, or have most people just never been anywhere other than the Gold Coast?

The thing is that theme parks are first and foremost about FUN experiences which are created around a theme. Such experiences can be all different types of rides, shows, and walk-throughs. Since there are a lot of people, most will like some of those experiences more than others, and most will not like a few of them. That's absolutely ok! What's absolutely NOT ok is for anyone to assume that their own preferences are the right ones, and others are wrong to like different experiences. That sort of attitude would make the person arrogant and rude.

They can try to, but where will they park?

I won't be happy unless they bring back something as good as Bermuda Triangle. A mere rollercoaster just won't cut it for me.

Whilst I think VRTP really missed a fantastic opportunity by not rethemeing SDSC to Harry Potter (themeing the cars as "broomsticks" and keeping most of the castle themeing (with minor modification)), surely therevis still the opportunity to retheme the kids area to Harry Potter. I think it would be a huge drawcard for all ages.

Completely agreed. I wish there wasn't so much negativity about Dreamworld. It needs the opposite from those who are supposed to be among its biggest supporters!

Well if that goes ahead it's bye bye to any potential there might have been for Sea World to return to its glory days.

Agreed. Just saying I hope Dreamworld doesn't close. It would be a massive loss to Queensland (and Australian) tourism, and I think it would be highly unlikely that a theme park of that size would ever be seen again in Australia. Also it would give VRTP a monopoly which would enable them to vastly increase their prices, whilst possibility lowering their investments since there'd be nothing to compete against.

Well I really hope you're wrong! There has been fairly significant recent investment in the Lego store, SkyVoyager, and now the waterpark improvements, so that gives me hope!

Well if as I have long suspected their real objective is to sell Dreamworld, I really hope they get on with it very soon and sell it to an organisation that specialises in theme parks and that's good at it!

I suppose someone at VRTP actually believes these things enhance the guest experience, compared to the waterpark and better seal show that were there previously. That person's obviously very new! 😕
