  1. I agree or disagree with comments, not people! Really? I've never heard of that before!
  2. Or teachers and parents can pass on such information.
  3. There is such a thing as "humour" in some forum posts. It's when, actually I can't be bothered explaining it. I'm very busy having a coffee.
  4. If you honestly believe that you make more money than Donald Trump by copying other peoples advertising you don't know Trump very well!
  5. Whatever job you have (if you have one), you should leave it and become an English teacher. You don't need any qualifications. I have a friend in the UK who advertises her services to foreign students and has declared herself an English teacher. You can do the same!
  6. Indeed you don't! However, if you read the rest of my earlier post, that's not the point I was making. If anything, that first comment was a bit of a criticism of how much time in the video was devoted to the queue line (pretty as it is)!
  7. During one of the extended maintenance periods before the TRR incident, I had a chat with a Dreamworld employee (not a senior one but he still seemed like he was being genuine in what he told me, and certainly had no reason to make stuff up). He said WWF was closed for so long because "the ride experience is being completely transformed into something revolutionary"! When it did, numerous things that had worked quite well previously no longer did. It certainly does have a lot of potential though.
  8. Wild West Falls has undergone numerous prolonged periods of "maintenance" in the last few years, without any obvious improvements. Quite the opposite actually. It's not really obvious to me why it would need to be closed for so long, so many times.
  9. If you like, but seems totally unrelated to me!
  10. I was just thinking it was a park full of magnificent queues and not much else. Then came some good examples of how projection mapping can be used in a ride (or in the pre-show in this case). I got a sense of how amazing Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster could have been. Finally I got to see how brilliant it would have been had SkyVoyager opened. A great park indeed!
  11. It's usually not the charge that's the problem. It's what they'll get found guilty of, and more importantly, what sentence they'll get. As they're juveniles, the answer is almost certainly nothing of any real consequence. I'm not saying they should get the death penalty, but there needs to be a sentence that makes them regret the problems they've caused, and deters others from doing likewise. There won't be!
  12. It's a possibility. Only question is September what year?
  13. Boxing Day would be a logical opening date, except Dreamworld has already confirmed SkyVoyager will open on Boxing Day. Who knows, we might be lucky enough to get two new attractions on the same day. To answer your second question, and given there has been no acknowledged delay on the shaded seating area as yet, it's fair to assume that the first official delay should be at least 6 months. I'm not sure if the shaded seating area falls within the scope of the new Amusement ride safety regulations, so we could see no additional delays after that, maybe. How exciting!
  14. "Children under 4 are not permitted to ride". So does that mean everyone else is permitted to ride now, at last? HAHAHA. Just joking! On a (very slightly) more positive note, I went to Winterfest a few days ago and saw they're making fantastic progress on the shaded seating area. At this rate, I'd say it should be fully operational around late 2019, or early 2020 (the shaded seating area, not SkyVoyager obviously). Can't wait to try it out!
  15. Just be glad we're lucky enough to live in the Gold Coast, where waterparks can be open all year round. That's just not possible in literally most parts of the world! So what if some of the slides are undergoing maintenance during the quiet period? All the slides that are open have little or no queue. It's awesome!
  16. Oh. Must have been me doing the checks on behalf of the council then I guess! It's all very well getting a work experience kid to do critical construction site safety checks, but I think they overstepped the mark a little bit by getting me to do those checks in Adelaide, when the construction site is in Sydney!
  17. That incident I described was at least 20 years ago, so unfortunately I can't take the blame for the Sydney issues. Maybe try asking Donald Trump.
  18. Hmm. Not if you're a member of RACQ! Oh, but the cheapest way is nearly always to get your ticket at one of the theme parks! or at least that's what I was recently told by the lady working at the ticket booth in Movie World, and she did sell me tickets for less than I could have got them on the RACQ site. Think it was something like $80 each from memory. I think it's about $89 on RACQ.
  19. I did work experience with an inspector from a council building department. We went on several site inspections. He showed me a few basic techniques to some of the checks he usually does at sites. Then at one site he just went to a nearby shop and told me "You can do this one!" and I did. When he got back he just said "So everything's good?" I said yes, and he signed off the inspection. I guess he let the work experience kid be in charge for that one! I was basically checking the ground was level witha theodolite. Hope the building didn’t collapse! 😐
  20. You have no idea how much knowledge I have.
  21. Very nice of you (sort of) but I've just had a parmy with chips and it cost less than $20. I am open to donations nevertheless.
