A Superman ride isn't complete without Superman (helping you escape).

Movie World have removed the Shrek theme from their website and replaced it with a Superman theme.

Your post certainly discredits Warner Village Theme Parks' ability to follow through with plans and meet deadlines - 'just because they say they're doing it, it doesn't mean they'll do it...in the next twenty years'.
-
An entire year has passed since information first surfaced about Warner Village's plans to build a ‘Wet ‘n’ Wild’ style theme park on the Sunshine Coast. I haven’t heard a single thing about this suggested development since it was announced. Does anyone know if it's still going ahead?

I'm planning on visiting Superman Escape early next year, once the hype dies down. I don't think it's worth paying full admission though as my annual pass to Movie World expired just a few months ago. Where's the best place to find Movie World discounts? I know they often have them on receipt dockets but where else have people found them?
-
Yea, that's exactly what I was thinking. It's an 'example' of their previous work. Does anyone know if Example #2 is a real ride?

The maintenance bay is just before the station.

New Ride destined for Luna Park a first for Australia!
Adam replied to Jobe's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Hahahahahahahahahaha. Nice one. -
Yea I noticed that too. Sound familiar? It advertises the track layout can support 17 trains. I've always though Scooby-Doo had 18 trains... or is that 17 trains on the track and 1 in the maintenance bay?
-
Also, the Mammoth River used to only take five people at a time. It seems they now allow six people.
-
rollercoaster_rod, the site you supplied says that the rumor is false. So according to them, people have died in a Disney park before.

should DreamWorld bring in a new ride for the hoildays?
Adam replied to LunaParkFanatic's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Yea, I agree with GoBoi. I'd hate to see carnival rides at Dreamworld. Xtreme World is a much better idea. -
Thanks for the news nev! It will be exciting to see what they do with the show building and how it will affect the overall ride experience. Be sure to keep us updated. Does anyone know when Scooby-Doo had its last maintenance overhaul? Also, I don't think we will see any changes to the track

Thanks for the photo update. The ride is really starting to look nice now, I think they've done a great job with the gardens and pathway. Hopefully everything goes well for them over the next ten days.

Movie World's website has to be the worst theme park website I've ever seen. It lacks any form of consistency in both appearance and content. Take a look at these three ride pages: http://www.movieworld.com.au/rides_attract....cfm?ride_id=18 http://www.movieworld.com.au/rides_attract....cfm?ride_id=17 http://www.movieworld.com.au/rides_attract...s.cfm?ride_id=2 They all have different layouts and follow no set structure or style. Superman's profile page is a joke - there is not a single picture of the coaster and the logo looks very out of place. (If you don't think Superman's profile page is extremely bad then try comparing it to Lethal Weapon's page). Here is an example of two logos on the Movie World website - one is a recent addition (most likely added by someone who hates their job and is trying to get fired), the other is an older Movie World logo which was most likely done by the original developer of the site: Poorly implemented logo: Perfectly integrated logo: Notice that one of the logos blends nicely with the background colour of the site (navy blue) while the other looks like it was cut out of a magazine and placed there by a pre-schooler. In recent times, the website has gone down the drain. What happened to the fancy "Facts" section? Very nicely presented: Who would want to read these facts? Also, would it hurt to use consistently styled subheadings? The rest of the website is poorly maintained too and often looks as thought it was "thrown together" at the last minute. The site also has some serious cross browser compatibility issues. (Why the HELL do they need to disable right click?) It is very obvious the person who maintains Movie World’s website isn't a professional (or even an amateur) web developer at all...

Work commences on the Dreamworld Water Park
Adam replied to Richard's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I was wondering the same thing. -
Just an update to this thread.

Movie World is a family-orientated theme park – so instead of comparing it to Cedar Point, why not compare it to something like Universal Studios? Universal Studios Hollywood is a very successful park, similar to Movie World (but obviously on a larger scale), that only has one major roller coaster attraction. The park still manages, however, to entertain and attract large volumes of people from all over the world. While I do agree that the continued expansion of Movie World would benefit the Gold Coast immensely, I don’t think their next attraction has to be a roller coaster.

I found an interesting article about Superman Escape on COASTER-net.com. The font size is annoyingly small but the article is very well written.
-
A very interesting concept GoldCoast_ROG, but I don't believe Movie World would want to build something like that (at the moment). I mean, they're just days away from opening a brand new 12 million dollar high speed launch coaster. A park that size doesn't need two.

I know "exitation" isn't a word, but I didn't use that word, I used "excitation". In case you weren't aware, 'excitation' can be defined as:- 1. The act or process of exciting or an instance of it. 2. The state or condition of being excited. 3. Physiology. The activity produced in an organ, tissue, or part, such as a nerve cell, as a result of stimulation.Try typing 'exitation' into Google and see if it offers you an alternate (i.e. correct) spelling. And BTW gazza, "exitement" isn't a word, but "excitement" is.

What are you more excited about: - Movie World's new Superman Escape OR - Dreamworld's new Water Park

Big Brother House closing 26th December 2005
Adam replied to dreamworld_rulz's topic in Theme Park Discussion
That is the reason. They can't have the public inside and around the house whilst they are renovating.
