Hey, I'm not going to be heading past Dreamworld anytime soon. When someone is there next taking photos can you stand back a bit and get the Logo Store in context with the rest of the façade. I just want to see how it fits in, thank you

Out of interest for myself I scaled the 'Flash Coaster' at Lena Adventure China to MW to see if it is realistic to expect a similar coaster experience for us. Anyway I thought to share it with everyone. For scaling I used a 100m line as reference. I checked out a YouTube POV of Flash and it looks amazing. I'm excited because having made this comparison it is very possible we could get a coaster that is a minimum of 1,200m long with similar speeds, inversions, height etc. Obviously the layout will be different but I'm pumped!!!

Question: I have been a member since the beginning and have kept paying past the 12 month period. I have assumed that as long as I keep paying month-to-month I maintain my membership regardless of when they close the offer... is this correct thinking...?

I guess animals are a pretty big drawcard, but MW has a street parade and an impressive outdoor car show with explosions etc. which caters for families outside of just rides.

So, not sure this is appropriate for this topic, but, let's say this coaster is 'world best', is Movie World ready to earn the title of Australia's best theme park? I think Dreamworld currently holds the title....or at least they market it that way. Maybe they say they are biggest, but I think the general populous believe Dreamworld to be on top. A massive coaster, doomsday, a new themed land (villains) and VR surely has to elevate MW to the best...

Okay this is an overgeneralisation.....and a really big assumption to make....but...more fuel to the fire......most of the Pacific motorway has a centre medium strip down the middle which is vegetated, the lanes aren't generally divided by walls...shouldn't there be a centre median strip on the opposite side of that truck (not wall). A wall on that side of the truck would make more sense in America.....

I am super amazed a Samsung can do all the processing required, but excited to see how this will be refined in the future. From what everyone is saying it sound like the VR roller-coaster medium is off to an impressive start. In relation to Kong VR, I'm not sure my brain could manage being thrown around on a roller-coaster, taking in a VR world around you and playing a game (shooting monsters) all at once.... Normally I can only do one thing at a time.... Interesting concept though.

I thought this was interesting.... I follow CNET and they did an article over the weekend on a VR experience at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, California. The roller coaster they used is Kong. The interesting thing is that it is a very similar roller coaster to Arkham (maybe even the same...). The added element in this VR experience is that it is a game, the riders can shoot characters during the ride... So, I wonder if the people who generated the VR experience for Kong approached Movie World..."hey we have VR ready to go for your coaster....interested...." For those who have ridden the new Arkham VR, does it look the same as Kong VR? ...different characters and storyline....? Kong VR POV...

Ha ha, yeah I agree, the coaster can't be hidden by a wall. I guess I just love American politics too much Probably not for this forum but I guess I like the old idea of movieworld being all about the mystery and movie magic (rides behind closed doors - dark rids etc). Obviously a large coaster cannot be entirely indoors but there are plenty of opportunity for the track to wiz past and through themed landscaping and structures (I guess like Superman Escape). If this is visible to the public at the entry it takes away from the magic... As a kid I loved that once you walking into Movieworld you were in another world with little to no interaction with the outside. Anyway, appreciate your thoughts

I really hope, wish and pray that they will do a proper fence (solid rendered masonry) when they are finished....not a see through chain-wire or metal rail fence like Green Lantern. I think this look they adopted with GL is really unfinished like the ride was an afterthought rather than an integrated part of the park. To me it feels like you are stepping outside of the park to ride GL. I think a solid fence like the main entry wall is especially applicable if they are planning some theming throughout the new coaster. This would help to provide some mystery to the ride, rather than knowing what's up ahead because you saw it when you drove in....

Pumped dirt....this concerns me...I work in the development industry, I am no expert on this but often dirt that is pumped is a special formula of fertiliser, paper (moistened) and grass seed. It is a quick way to encourage grass to grow without the expense of laying large tracts of turf. The moisture in the paper mixed with seed and fertiliser allows grass to quickly grow up, if the conditions are right and it takes root then great...if it dies then no big deal it is relatively inexpensive.... The thin layer of soil is a tell tail sign... Grass is also a great way to stabilise soil (such as sand) and is used on large land subdivisions to prevent loose soils washing away.... They may be thinking of a long term solution...a grass paddock.... Hopefully this is wrong....

Not sure if this has been reported but I was at Sea World today and noticed that the water troth under the coaster is full of water. I have posted a pic. There were a lot of trees in the way so the quality is not that great and I have given many location waypoints but I took the picture just next to the sky gondolas in front of the cinemas. To be honest I'm surprised that the troths are full considering there is still a heap left to finish on the ride, landscaping and theming. Anyway, enjoy!!
