Only one actually (Luna Park Sydney), and its fairly unique as there are only three wooden wild mouse coasters in the world.
-
Pretty much. I think Aussie World's Wild Mouse should be on the poll, its actually quite a good coaster. Better than Motocoaster and even Cyclone IMO.
-
Yeah I thought it'd be because of the restraints. The restraints are very confusing the first time you ride.

Yeah I thought those were the trains, but someone recently said it was just a picture of the old trains except it was stripped? They were obviously wrong -

Thats great to hear then -
Ironically Motocoaster usually has one of the longest lines at Dreamworld. If the trains weren't so uncomfortable I think it could've been a really good coaster. Jet Rescue is the same model coaster as the Motocoaster, so I think if Motocoaster got trains were people are sitting in the same position as on Jet Rescue the ride experience could be greatly improved.

Hmm >$1 million seems like a bit of a tight budget for a complete makeover of the area, doesn't it? Unless they're just repainting the buildings that are already there. -
Superman only managed to get on the poll in 2005 ranked as no. 17 in the world, other years it hasn't had enough riders vote to get a place on the poll. But if it did I'd still expect it to place in at least the top 30. I think the next Aussie Coaster in the poll with the second highest rank was Scooby Doo at around #70, then I think TOT was about #100. One year, Mick Doohans Motocoaster came second last!

I don't think theres currently an SLC with the KumbaK trains? Though I may be wrong. Im quite pleasantly surprised with how the actual trains look, as KumbaK trains are known for being very ugly. The seatbelt chest restraints look a bit odd, hoping its rubber or something a bit more substantial and less uncomfortable than seatbelt material. -
Its not really a surprise as Superman is the only Aussie coaster to make it into the top 20 in the Mitch Hawker poll. Heck, its the only Aussie coaster to even make it into the top 50!

Well I thought it always did 85kph, but it could possibly be slightly faster as the trains may be lighter. -

Wow sorry joz for being incorrect, I wasn't "whining". I thought the height restriction was 120cm for some reason. -

Ive just noticed the height restriction is now 140cm, just to make the park even less family friendly -

Movieworld did say themselves that its themed to the game. -

If it gets repainted I hope its the same color. Ive noticed in movie worlds skyline, Lethal Weapon is a nice background ride with duller colors while Superman and Green Lantern stand out with brighter colors. -

I have to admit the theme is a bit politically incorrect lol -

Awesome! So do the trains definitely look like KumbaK trains? Not a huge fan of the new name but Im glad theyve got the new trains and the new theme will look great. EDIT: Found this line a bit funny "Get ready for a high voltage thrill on the world’s first Arkham Asylum themed ride" Guess they've never heard of Six Flags New England then -

Yep its the same coaster, just with new trains and a new theme. -
Sorry djrappa you're right... my apologies bladex. But yeah El Locos are meant to slow down. If they didn't, the G forces on the outwards turns and tight inversions would be too extreme. I honestly found GL quite thrilling in its own way. While Supermans thrill comes from airtime and high speed, Green Lantern is filled with "OMFG moments" and has some strong lateral G's.

We have a GP member on Parkz :/

AlexB, peoples concerns about lack of theming for Green Lantern were confirmed. I still think GL is the most sparsely themed of all Movieworld's rides. -
I had a gaming computer and I was making a video game themed park, was going pretty well until my gaming computer starting stuffing up and wouldn't work, now Im forced to use my POS school laptop which is so slow :/ Shame because I had a bunch of CS and CTR's on my gaming computer and was really making a cool park! But good luck with your park, looking good.

Basically the joke is that people hear information about new rides ect from food stall owners (Dippin Dots as a well known example) at parks and use it as reliable info, so its just a joke thats spread.
-
Yesss the ride op told me the line audio would become less frequent. I was a bit suspicious as he wasn't a Dippin Dots guy though :/
