  1. It was a joke referring to the fact they'd always say they'd announce details about Green Lantern then suddenly it was opened.
  2. How much will we bet that when that countdown hits zero they'll post "GET READY FOR NEWS" Then nothing until the opening of the ride?
  3. Ok I just wasn't sure as the park may have got trains supplied from a different manufacturer for some reason.
  4. I did, and usually it says who manufacturer the trains but in this case it didn't.
  5. Sorry for digging up a somewhat old thread but i finally got my arse to Aussie World to ride the plunge and was pleasantly surprised at how well the Plunge was intregated into the park. Its a very attractive and fairly well themed ride, and on one of my rides on it I got absolutely DRENCHED. I really enjoyed it and will go as far as saying its Australias second best operating flume ride, after Wild West Falls (despite its small sizeI actually preferred it to Vikings Revenge and Rocky Hollow Log Ride)
  6. I'm gonna have to vote for MikeMac, I love the idea of the drop tower. However its a shame it'd dwarf Superman and Batwing so severely. But thats the only thing I don't like about the design. Thrillrulz, I like your idea of the top spin, with water effects and stuff it'd be an awesome addition. Also, MikeMac, next time I think it'd be more useful to give more technical information about the ride. For example, in your last entry you said that you'd like to put an "accelerator type" coaster. We have no way of knowing if it'd be a Premier Rides, Intamin or Vekoma launcher, and there is a great space of quality between the three. Also this time with the drop tower, it'd be more useful to say what the manufacturer is, though were assuming its Intamin it could easily be made by a less awesome company like Fabbri or Zamperla (though they'd never go that ambitious lol). Just something to consider.
  7. Looks awesome! Love proslide slides and its great to see a tantrum alley in australia, plus I love behemoth bowls.
  8. Thats interesting, what manufacturer made the trains? Vekoma? Am I the only one who thinks lap bars on a full size inverted coaster could be slightly painful? Id still prefer the new Vekoma restraints, they look really comfortable.
  9. ^ Lethal Weapon was always classified as extreme... It would be interesting if they managed to put lap bars on that maybe come down the side, but I haven't seen this done for any other inverted coaster of any brand so I don't have high hopes. All I ask for is the new Vekoma trains, please.
  10. Do we know for certain the trains will be KumbaK? I remember someone said the "KumbaK train" in the pic posted here was actually just normal spare parts train? I'd say its more likely Lethal Weapon will get the new Vekoma SLC trains which Ive heard good things about. KumbaK trains are ugly and uncomfortable so I hope they go for vekoma (I can't believe I just said that)
  11. The laser effects are very mediocre, not the "kaleidoscope void" they're referring to. Still good effects though, and mba2012 Ive noticed theres steam on sometimes and at other times none.
  12. You're taking a nice ride through the Metropolis rollercoaster subway. Then bang! Rumble! Earthquake! Before you know it LOOK UP IN THE SKY, IT'S SUPERMAN!- propelling your carriage skyward at 100km per hour! Go from zero to 100km an hour in only two seconds on Warner Bros. Movie World’s powerful rollercoaster, Superman Escape! Just reading that makes me cringe.
  13. Ah ok, I didn't really get the reference. I thought it was like saying "Do you like taking a subway ride during an earthquake and being flown out by superman?" for superman.
  14. Has anyone also noticed the video for scooby doo is less than a second long? Also the description for roadrunner - If running down the road is your idea of having fun, you’ll just love the Roadrunner Rollercoaster. Yes I absolutely love running down roads, I do it every day. Also, hollywood stunt drive is now an extreme thrill attraction.
  15. What are your opinions? I personally love the new layout, but the ride descriptions ect sound like they were written by a 6 year old.
  16. Ill make a new thread about the website then. My original post was more about the new ride page which somewhat hints to new attractions.
  17. Ok, should we split off from this thread and make a new one about how stupid the person who wrote Movieworlds ride descriptions for the website is?
  18. WWF definitely isn't a coaster. To be honest, even Journey to Atlantis at Seaworld Orlando doesn't have enough track for me to call it a water coaster, but everyone seems to classify it as one... The only "water coaster" Id definitely call a coaster is Poseidon at Europa Park, as to me its a coaster with a splashdown, instead of a log flume with a coaster section like most water coasters. But no WWF definitely isn't by any standards a coaster, and the manufacturer (Hopkins rides) call it a flume.
  19. Movie world have put this on their website http://movieworld.my...TOP-SECRET.aspx Love the exclamation points before and after the sentence, just like something a non english speaking Japanese theme park would put on their website. On another note, I love the new Movieworld website! Much better than before when you couldn't even view pictures. I HATE the new descriptions for the rides though, they sound like they were written up by a 6 year old. Also, Wild West Falls is now an "extreme" thrill ride. Way to put families off riding one of the parks only family rides.
  20. There is actually only 1 new ride as the second one is Lethal Weapon retheme. I definitely think it'll be a dark ride, its exactly what movie world needs at the moment. Hopefully they put some real effort into theming, though based on past rides (lets just forget Green Lantern exists for a moment, ok?) I'll say we don't have to sorry about that.
  21. Im very pleased with Movieworlds decision to build a new (what we assume is) a dark ride. This, along with Green Lantern and the Lethal Weapon retheme to Arkham Asylum definitely gives them the upper hand against Dreamworld, though it does seem that the DC rides are taking over the park...
  22. Fantastic update! Really shows the development going on there! Oh wait, its just pictures we've already seen taken by other people that you probably didn't ask permission to use, my bad. Reanimated35, can you kind of understand what was trying to be said now? Me neither.
  23. Shame I don't have Foxtel Most of those shows are pretty crap anyway, its physically impossible for them to make a documentary without adding Kingda Ka.
  24. My God do you even read my post? Carolina Cobra is a popular ride, even amongst coaster enthusiasts as its a SMOOTH RIDE. My point was with NEW RESTRAINTS it could be a fun ride.
