  1. Which one will you maybe be going on? Anyway heres some info about B&M. They're a Swiss coaster manufacturer owned by Walter Bolliger and Claude Mallibard. Their first coaster was a stand up coaster named Iron Wolf and since then they've made many innovative rides around the world. They were the first manufacturer to invent the modern Inverted Coaster (Arrow Dynamics previously invented Suspended coasters), they also made the first Floorless Coasters and their most recent design is the Wingrider, which has been done before but not quite in the same way. B&M are well known for making extremely smooth coasters (with the possible exception of a few of their stand up coasters) and many of their earlier creations such as Nemesis, Kumba, Apollo's Chariot among others still place high in the Mitch Hawker and Golden Ticket polls. I'd personally say they are the best coaster manufacturer in the world, tied with Intamin. Hope that's enough info, sorry if some of my facts are a bit off or I left something out, I'm pretty much going off memory.
  2. No steel coaster should shake like a woodie. I agree slightly rough woodies are kinda good, but El Toro is fantastic and smooth as silk.
  3. That article is just a marketing stunt by Thorpe Park. I think the best looking of the Wingriders is X-Flight at SFGAm, I like its layout the best. Wild Eagle's is a bit meh IMO. I like the Swarm's layout, but its a bit short.
  4. Already is one. I agree RCT3 is really lacking a undo button, I can't count how many times I've stuffed up the terrain in my park and lost all my progress by reloading the park.
  5. So looks like we're not getting any screenshots...
  6. Exactly. Also, LW isn't rough in the almost fun way like a wooden coaster. It's a headbanger, and all that headbanging does is take away from the ride experience, not add to it. I didn't find my last ride on LW fun at all due to the pain.
  7. Really looking forward to watching the park expand. I think 2 things it needs are a real thrilling flat ride, something like a Top Spin or a Power Surge. The second thing would be a compact coaster as many have said, a spinning coaster would be good if they want to go for the family market, and a Gerstlauer Eurofighter 320 would be great for the thrill market.
  8. I agree I like LW's colours as they are. Superman and Green Lantern are the bright ones, Lethal Weapon adds to the background with duller colours.
  9. Holy shit... Its been raining heaps here on the Sunshine Coast
  10. I've noticed from most of Movieworld you can barely see Lethal Weapon at all, maybe because of the colour as you said ^ TPR said on their trip its almost like Movieworld are embarrassed of their awful SLC and are trying to hide it from people, especially with the somewhat hard to find enterance.
  11. Luckily, Movieworld have listened to complaints and are reducing the queue audio to every 5 minutes. That's what the dippin dots guy said anyway And yeah, I saw Parallax's tooth was ripped off. I know people get extremely pissed off in the sun listening to him tell you to give in to your fear, but there's no need to vandalise it. If your gunna vandalise anything make it the speakers lol
  12. Due to my young age I'm around 160cm and trust me, it HURTS. AlexB, at your height, does your head lay between the two That's very odd you didnt feel any discomfort. Maybe your head got smashed so much your brain got a bit knocked and you don't remember how incredibly painful the ride is.
  13. I think somebody said to replace or even demolish Eureka would be tricky due to its position, they'd have to close the whole of Gold Rush. And with Buzzsaw recently opening that wouldn't be for a while.
  14. I didn't think stingrays could really bite, I've had them nibble on my fingers when I feed them and they have blunt teeth. Did they mean he was stung by the barb?
  15. Ohk thats interesting joz, I saw little kids on it in 2007, was the height restriction in place then? They sure looked under 95cm.
  16. Don't think so, I seem to remember seeing very very young children on the ride.
  17. Last night? But I think its a family ride. I see a lot of kids on it, and its called a moderate thrill on MW's website. Sure, its backwards drop and final drop are quite thrilling but I wouldnt put it in the extreme category.
  18. Thats interesting, thanks for the info.
  19. Jacko, I enjoy Movieworld much more than any park on the Gold Coast. Its collection of thrill rides is second to none in Australia, though some may argue that Dreamworld beats it. My top 5 in Movieworld (Superman, GL, Scooby, Batwing and WWF) smashes Dreamworlds Big 7 IMO. But I understand you're a bit sore about Movieworld removing LTRR and Batman. I think LTRR was a good ride and I'm sad to see it go, but to me Batman really was a waste of space. Though Movieworlds collection of family rides has taken a hit, I still think Roadrunner, Scooby Doo and Wild West Falls are 3 great family thrill rides. Now we just need a good dark ride.
  20. I know that the Wild West section has strict noise restrictions due to its close proximity to neighbours, do we have to take this into consideration with our design?
  21. The simulator wasn't big, and I doubt it would be as expensive as Batman, even if it was in Australia. It was just very well done.
  22. Dammit, I wish I knew how to make proper graphics like MikeMac did.
