  1. Im planning to go like next week, which is probably a bad idea considering they just showed on the news how our theme parks have record numbers and the car parks are overflowing this time of year...
  2. Im pretty sure they've already removed it from SFMM and that didnt take them long. Now its either in transportation or in storage at SFNE.
  3. I know its safe, but I just thought that the magnetic breaks were designed so the natural guaranteed power of magnets will bring it to a stop. Maybe Im thinking of Giant Drop's magnetic breaks? And when TOT overshot, did the normal breaks slow it at all or did they not work whatsoever?
  4. I thought the magnetic break system on TOT insured that even in the event of a power outage they would still work? And Hendo, that would be pretty cool to basically walk through part of the dark ride section.
  5. Okay, maybe not a week but it wouldnt take years, probably a couple of months as ads086 said. Im really hoping the new trains will decrease a bit of roughness, or at least the headbanging. Though I hear these trains dont do much to tame SLC's.
  6. They could probably do it in a week, actually.
  7. TOT overshot the station? Crap, thats pretty worrying. Surely they'd make sure it wouldnt overshoot enough to hit the end of the tunnel though? I thought the magnetic brakes would make sure it stops before the station. Also I'd love to see/be on Superman when it rolls back. Its not surprising its had a rollback, it really crawls over the top hat. Also, what do you mean by mislaunch? Only thing thats happened while I was on a ride was the Cyclone stopped going up the lift hill for 10 minutes. Half an hour later after some rides, we came back to find it had got stuck again. It had been raining that day and apparently the chain motor system got clogged.
  8. Really? From what I hear they're a major letdown and the only thrill in it is the height.
  9. ^ And a good flat ride, maybe an S&S Screaming Swing to go next to Batwing and Green Lantern in the "S&S Corner" of the park?
  10. Gazza, my top 3 would probably be the same except I haven't ridden scooby, green lantern, buzz saw, surfrider or jet rescue yet. But yeah there's nothing wrong with an airtime coaster, after all that's exactly what Bizarro in SFNE is and is constantly rated #1 coaster in the world. Superman here in Aus has peaked at #15 in the world while Lethal Weapon probably hasn't even placed in the top 200.
  11. Actually yeah it probably makes it into our top 3. Out of what Ive ridden, I rank it as this. 1. Superman (Airtime, acceleration, dark ride section) 2. TOT II (Sure, its simple and quick, but its one heck of an adrenaline rush) 3. Lethal Weapon (Speed and intensity, but still an awfully rough ride)
  12. Commas and full stops. Please. Also, lethal weapon is far from the best coaster in Australia. Its just an SLC, anyone in America would know that an Intamin Rocket beats any SLC hands down.
  13. If they have an awesome replacement (B&M perhaps?) coaster ready, then yes.
  14. Since lethal weapon is across from SE, if it were to be themed to D.C comics, I think it would be good to theme it as Lex Luthor or another superman villain. Maybe even incorporate the rides original title into it: Lex Luthor's Lethal Weapon. Or would that confuse people too much?
  15. I have more than one thing I'd like to ask that genius.
  16. Well I just found out Ive recieved a myfun pass for christmas, so I'll definately be down there soon Ill also have to get round to visiting seaworld, still havent ridden those two coasters.
  17. I think it was more for the overall appearance of the coaster from the car park to get people excited about riding, a bit like the giant saws on the front of buzzsaws station.
  18. Am I the only person who finds it funny that there are people moaning about too many coasters where the gold coast theme parks combined has the same amount, or less, coasters than a park in Australia? And how could anybody be annoyed about the sound stage being removed for superman? Superman is the best coaster we've ever had, and the best I think we'll have for quite some time. Just my thoughts, got my flame suit on as people like to disagree with me
  19. Our seaworld is different from theirs, owned by different companies.
  20. I think buzzsaws theming is simple, but quite effective. Though the storyline makes no sense, I think the station is quite well done. Though GL's queue is good, the station is still open air and slightly disappointing. And I think they both look quite intimidating at the front of the park. Green lantern is actually a lot larger than I expected.
  21. Okay, I miss worded my post. I'd like to see one of our current theme parks get a dark ride, but if we got a park in the future I'd prefer a park that focuses on coasters and not dark rides. EDIT: posted at the same time as you, didn't see that post. Yes, I guess it's a matter of opinion. And this is a dreamers thread, so I'm dreaming of Cedar Point or SFGAdv coming to Australia lol No offence to your friend but how can you compare 2 coasters which are completely different to each other to a dark ride? And may I remind you sea viper and jet rescue aren't exactly epic though jet rescue comes sorts close.
  22. Okay Im wrong then. And AlexB, yeah theyre "good" but theyre not "great" like certain rides at Six Flags Parks. Anyway we all have opinions, and personally I can see a big coaster going up before a massive multimillion dollar dark ride like Harry Potter going up.
  23. Okay, no. But I'm just saying I'd perfer a park full of world class coasters than world class dark rides. Universal studios (not including IOA) seem to only really have a couple of coasters, and the rest are dark rides. Not saying thats bad as its a good family marketing, but what I'd love to see here would be more towards the thrill factor.
