Not a case of old friends. A case of a ride being talked about with some people and things "clicking". I don't want to go into too much because I have gained trust in people. But we all know changes are afoot for the better of the park. But when at least one of these rides leaves it won't necessarily be the end for it.

I would say we will see some changes at LPS soon. Those lines on the ground obviously mean some work is going to be done. Haunted house left a while ago also remember. I wonder what ride is next to vacate...

So Qualified boiler inspectors I know of one in QLD. So in NSW, the difference between a locomotive boiler inspector and a boiler inspector is no different. But between a boiler inspector for a locomotive to marine is different I am told. I know within the ones I've seen between loco's to road and stationary no massive difference exists for qualifications. -

Perfect. Then provide the list of the hundreds. Cause obviously I have no idea what I am talking about even tho I've actually worked with such machinery before. Free IQ check for you also @Skeeta -

You are right, They do indeed have many boiler inspectors. Whom are now old or retired or let qualifications laps. Remember its an old trade. It ain't fancy like the internet. -

Boiler inspectors are different from state to state due to regulations. While the differences between the qualifications are indeed fairly limited it comes down to the different protocols and procedures between the states that make this the issue. The mechanical principles are all the same. So blame the regulators for that. -
Going to be interesting to see what happens. I think the ranger and spider don't have much time left if that's the case.
-
Do you mean these markings?. Interesting to know we both seemed to be at the park on the same day.

Starting to become normal in all major water parks. Hence why scales have been installed over time.

This looks bad but it is not. From a company standpoint, it helps. That staff member could be utilised within another area of the park. Plus that would not be a fun position to be in. It is not like the old days of going through the old surf shop. Sure you gotta walk back out the front (you'll be doing that anyway) and through into the water park entry but this ain't a deal-breaker. -
April 1st?.

So vortex will be open by this December correct?.

Fully6 - WhiteWater World's new slide tower
StingRay replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Looking great. As for the height, being body slides the tower does not need to be a massive structure. Shorter tower allows people to traverse the tower multiple times without feeling as winded at the taller towers. -
let's pray the new projector is much better than the ones used next door at MW for scooby...

In a typical ride operator fashion when a ride is near its end of life you want to try and kill it. Just hold out until I get one more run. -

Spider is nearing the end of its life. The main central hubs for the arms have been kept in good condition and it tells when you ride it. But I think the sea air is getting to it now. Ranger mechanically is not that complicated. But its the fact it is old. It has suffered some issues during its time. I see this ride retiring at the park and it will be scrapped. I didn't sell in my eyes for a reason. It's due to all the modifications it had. Tumble bug won't see a life beyond the park either. Dodgems havent had a change at all. Even the transformer that runs them is the same from the late 80's I think. Most of these rides have been in the park since the mid-'90s. So in a way, if they go its a good thing. They served their purpose.

Travelling kiddy pirate ship was in that location. Was on loan from Joyland's. Breakdance and Ranger are both showing really old age. Both have been in Brisbane together for Expo 88 and have had a decent run here in Sydney. But its time for a good quality replacement.

Fully6 - WhiteWater World's new slide tower

Those translucent sections will be awesome. I know of another water park that has these sections and they do add the to the sensation of speed. -
I hope so!.
