  1. Didn't Movie World send a snapchat that the next maze would be in the Soundstage?
  2. Whilst I recognise their differences, does anyone think an Intamin Mega Lite would be too similar to Superman Escape?
  3. Having just left a job at a major tourist attraction in Melbourne in which the hours were slow, the visitation was low and the loading procedure was mundane, I can vouch for the boredom factor. However, if the same attraction had a constant flow of guests and faster load/unload times I would probably be much more inclined to stick around. Different types of work appeal to different types of people I guess, I definitely would've enjoyed it more had it been fast paced.
  4. OceanGirl, the train will still traverse the track in the same way, the seats will just be placed backwards. It sounds to me like you think the train will be starting through the exit. Six Flags has done it with their Batman inverts to great effect... It's certainly possible.
  5. We weren't allowed to speak about Doomsday when we found out about it and since that information didn't get publicly released it will be hard. However, if you look back into a Doomsday topic there is some concept art in there if I remember correctly.
  6. Whilst I didn't find it as good as the other Disney parks, you can't overlook Disneyland Paris.
  7. I rode Crush's Coaster at Disneyland Paris and from this can tell you the ride experience is incredible (even without the Disney touch). It is smooth, the wide sweeping turns and steep inclines are thrilling and it is a perfect family coaster. This is certainly one of my favourite type of roller coasters. In terms of your other options, some of them are too similar to other Australian coasters for my liking, but each to their own
  8. I loved it, and got two free VIP passes out of it along the way. I would've loved to have participated in the focus groups however at the time wasn't of age so missed out. Would love to know the Wild ideas if it were allowable.
  9. I don't want to get derogatory here, but whilst I acknowledge the size of Dr. Who's fanbase I struggle to find breadth in the type of person that watches it. That is, the segment is homogeneous (niche?). Furthermore, I believe this type of person is not necessarily the one Sea World actively targets. Again, I certainly don't want to cause offence, just putting my two cents in.
  10. I don't think you realise how niche the Dr. Who following is. Children (except those with Whovian parents) are generally not interested.
  11. You cannot go from park to park in one day without a park hopper ticket.
  12. If there's one more piece of advice I could give you, it would be to choose the parks that appeal to you the most. Whilst a lot of us on here can give advice and information all day long, such advice might not suit your wants. Do some research, watch some POVs and think about it. Heck, if you really want to make the day memorable, there is nothing but crowd levels stopping you from achieving four parks in one day!
  13. Don't do this. This will only confuse you even more. Walt Disney World is not Disneyland. Disneyland and DCA need 3 days minimum to get absolutely everything done. January is one of the quietest times of the year, bar MLK day which is very busy from what I've heard. I think you need to be more specific in your questions - there's too much to tell!
  14. Bugger - you'll be battling with the crowds. Good luck to you and have an awesome time!
  15. What date are you travelling? The Kiss Goodnight, whilst small, is unmissable for any Disney fan - loved it.
  16. A guy sitting next to me on Storm was unable to ride due to the restraint not locking in - so be wary of that.
  17. I was mainly talking in terms of the Halloween party - if it coincides with his dates, it's a no-brainer, especially due to the limited amount of guests in park and subsequent extremely short waits. All of it is pretty subjective though, all of the above was my own personal preference anyway
  18. There is no offsite hotel within 5 minutes walk of Epcot. I'm assuming you would be a 5 minutes walk from Downtown Disney from which you can get Disney transportation to the park. September gets quite quiet at the end of the month - what date are you planning? If you only have one day, Magic Kingdom and Epcot would be the two I'd choose. Epcot can be done very quickly in the morning without the need for fastpasses, Soarin' -> Test Track Single Rider -> Mission Space (wait times don't get too bad) -> Spaceship Earth on the way out. I would personally do Epcot first, just because whilst Illuminations is incredible, Wishes has more of the Magic. Also, September marks the start of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and if you choose one of the first nights/your visit happens to fall on one of these nights (September 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27) the lack of people in the park will astound you and you should be able to do a lot of the rides, and the Happy Hallowishes fireworks - featuring perimeter bursts (amazing!). Entry is permitted into Magic Kingdom with party tickets after 4pm, so you can spend all of the morning and a good part of the afternoon in Epcot and then hop over on the Monorail for the party - you will get 8 hours in Magic Kingdom from 4pm-12am, making it totally worth it! Good luck and have fun! EDIT: If you do choose to do a Halloween party, use the fastpasses for Epcot.
  19. It pained me to watch that thing rip to shreds a human being who is doing everything in his power to make extra sure that something like this never happens again. A person who refuses to acknowledge the rightful actions of someone else is the sole reason the journalistic field is constantly criticised for false claims and for being hysterical. Fire the witch.
  20. I think the lack of knowledge can be thrown both ways. Lack of promotion and the fact that people are genuinely sick of it. Of course, I'm not going to analyse the reactions Dreamworld's target market have towards their campaigns but judging by the feedback on this forum (even if it's a highly concentrated group of theme park enthusiasts), it's time for a change.
