  1. The entry may also be between Snack Attack and Cyclone. The car exhibit may also connect to Red Line and the Cyclone.
  2. Some photos from today. Redline has been gutted. No work on Cyclone yet. It's not fenced off properly either - some guest didn't even realise it was closed off. New front entry globe - it's huge!
  3. New Mine Ride gift shop / ride photos (if the ride is re-opening)....
  4. Inside the saddlery in the top photo near the old chair lift station.
  5. It is right at the end of Thunder River Rapids just before the lift hill.
  6. The T-Rex was on the right hand side which is now the miner theme.
  7. Sea World needs more rides for adults, like a rollercoaster, dark ride or some flats. There is only 3 rides at the moment and ony 2 that are good.
  8. Just a random dinosaur like the one on River Rapids (set in good old 1886 when dinosaurs existed apparently). I don't remember any ever on the Log Ride though...
  9. I posted the above video last year which shows some of the original theming elements of the Thunder River Rapids. There also used to be a T-Rex in the dark cave at the start and maybe some other dinosaurs (mysterious cave) followed by the Jungle area in the above video (Jungle Girl not included). Video from Young Talent Time go to Dreamworld in 1987.
  10. It doesn't say it's getting demolished but refurbished to a new dining area.
  11. I do remember Creature Cruise became Creature Walk. What a great improvement that was
  12. That Wild ad looks a lot like a classic 90s Dreamworld ride that no one remembers... https://youtu.be/7QRvqPBcuow
  13. Watch tonight's news story here. See if you can spot a major mistake.... https://au.news.yahoo.com/qld/video/watch/28473994/first-on-7-theme-park-problems/#page1
  14. Was that wire always there? And that blue fence?
  15. It would be great if they added another song to the disco room like this one. They can still play the MxPx song but it adds variety. Also have cartoons in the queue line instead of that behind the scenes video...
  16. It's that yellow thing next to the shipping container in the above photo. Viewable in the Cyclone queue. It was listed for sale but it seems no one wants to buy it so it will sit around and continue to rot on the old Thunderbolt site.
  17. The Cyclone originally opened back in 1995 at Luna Park Sydney so it is 20 years old. It's been at Dreamworld for 14 years Boxing Day this year (opened 26/12/01).
  18. More photos from yesterday. A shipping container near Reef Diver. Dreamworld's new Swamp Adventure Boat Ride The water outside the Billabong Restaurant is kept clean with this... ...but this water is not connected to the river which causes plant growth and slime... This old hearse looks great but shouldn't it be outside the undertaker. I didn't know that vending machines were around in the old Gold Rush! I'm king of the world We do apologise but we don't feel like hiring staff on weekdays to open this attraction. Please come on the weekend and enjoy all the lines so you may buy a fast pass $$$
  19. I took these photos of the Cyclone "theming" yesterday. This computer looks broken but still has some sort of letter on it (note the Dreamworld logo) Someone had fun with left over paint .... The top of the giant turbine is full of broken streamers and bird poop. I found the ride to be very rough yesterday and it normally just puts me to sleep! The trains look dodgy, the station is poorly designed (the exit should be on the opposite side of the station so you don't have to keep crossing over the train to get your stuff, ten cross back over to exit.) There is still life left in Cyclone but it is in need of a major over hall. If I was in charge I would relocate Red Line near Motorcoaster and remove the Red Line attraction from Ocean Parade and remove the entire queue building. Build a brand new queue building like Tower of Terror with an exit on the opposite side of the station then the entry of the ride which will lead to the gift shop (that's how they get you). New train, new paintjob. Maybe theme it to a Seaside Pier.
  20. Entry Fountain ABC Kids World - 29/5/15. New drying machine added to River Rapids. $$$ New water feature on River Rapids, also the lighting and thunder effects are back in the tunnel. Log Ride is closed at the moment.
  21. ABC Kids World Update... 29/5/15 Motocoaster Fast Foods is closed off. New colourful fence Dreamworld's new Swamp Adventure Boat Ride Shipping Container near Reef Diver Entry fountain Cyclone "theming" They actually have something on the computer screen... I don't know how this one is still working.... When painting the pathways in Ocean Parade there was some paint left over so they chucked it on the ground of the Cyclone queue for "theming" River Rapids has this new water feature that can get you mildly wet. There is also lightning and thunder effects back in the tunnel but you can clearly see the 1 flickering light bulb making the effect. At least they try. They also added a drying machine to the exit $$$ This old hearse is cool but shouldn't it be outside an undertaker? The Log Ride is closed at the moment.
  22. The exit door is not boarded up anymore has a new top half. Interesting...
  23. And for some dumb reason they exit you in the gift shop.... Jet Rescue also has the same issue but at least lockers are in the shop...
  24. Rivertown is getting new decking. The old paddle boat line area has been removed. It's gives you a great view of the river - it's a pity the river has a lot of slime and garbage to look at... There even is plant life starting to grow on top... But the turtles and eels don't seem to mind... Front entry fountain work
  25. Vintage Dreamworld! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbglBUlA2ec I filmed some of the locations from the above video to show what those areas look like now.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hinBXzQjcRo
