  1. Wouldn't most of them still be in their off season anyway?
  2. Is that where there could be a potential issue with the wheel assemblies? To me they look basically identical to those on other El Locos but considering GL's trains are double the size they could be under increased stress? That turn where it stopped is probably the most forceful section of tract in terms of wheel stress too I would have thought.
  3. Say the 2 people in the back row were sitting in the other 2 seats... could the result have been very different with weight distribution?
  4. Everyone has been evacuated according the The Theme Park Social Network on FaceBook
  5. Considering the trains are unique to GL I can't see other El Locos around the world being shut because of this. But who made the trains? Was it S&S or a different company? Relax, we have people who have/are working in the industry. Why can't we speculate? I'm interested to see what people think.
  6. Rather than sooking about whether it should be played down or not why don't we actually look at what might have happened? I'm curious as to how the train is at the angle it is and how the wheels got dislodged.
  7. The other question to ask is, how close did that wheel get to the queue? Not gonna lie I wouldn't want to have it hit me on the nogin...
  8. http://www.abc.net.au/news/image/6320892-3x2-940x627.jpg How does that even happen?
  9. If Carnivale is in April this year do you think that will mean no one will be getting free entry considering passes don't expire till June? I saw the VIP Pass you can buy now includes in (till June this year). Also, has anyone noticed the 'ticket to ride' which is included with a 1 day world pass? Valid for 1 person to jump the queue of 1 ride.
  10. I'm not going to any of the celebrations but I was there for new years. So I was one of the first few guests there in their 60th year Got a 2015 sweater to celebrate.
  11. I went to SFMM for 2 days and both days all the people on the tour buses were Aussies. Not Disney but same thing, Universal was the same.
  12. For what it's worth Disneyland offers 10 day park hopper tickets through travel agents in Australia and New Zealand only. They have had a presence over here for a while because of the way our dollar has been (even though it isn't as strong now as it has been over the past few years). I still believe that we could eventually become a new port for Disney Cruises with an Aulani type resort on the QLD coast. Couldn't see them going too far south as the weather isn't as tropical all year round.
  13. They said they were told to cease operation immediately. They unloaded us and lead us back to the station to ride again. Never got a full explanation as to what actually happened.
  14. The other day our train went into the maintenance bay on Space Mountain at Disneyland (CA).
  15. They are sound effects during the launch and the mid ride fly through. When I had my roll back on it you could hear the timed whoosh when we were sat on the launch track as the soundtrack wasn't stopped (that was a few months back). Also, with the effects; when I was there the other day there were no lasers in Scooby (just the strip lights on the walls) and there hasn't been water in SE for a long time now. I'm struggling to remember even seeing it during FN.
  16. Incorrect. If you redeemed your world pass by a particular date earlier this year you got a free ticket to Screamworld. Only being open to that offer (0 tickets sold), that night was walkons for literally everything. Great value!
  17. The Discovery Pass does that too an extent. Not as 'premium' but there are certainly many more benefits.
  18. Just curious, is anyone on here a member of the Australian Coaster Club?
  19. With the whole is Buzzsaw rough thing... I rode it a week after opening and I rode it a few weeks ago. Sitting in the front it is fine but I've noticed that in the back row, as you go through the station the first time, it is a bit rough. While it's not anywhere near as bad as other rides on the Coast it is definitely worse than when it first opened. I don't understand why you keep bashing on people who say it is rough. It's not the smoothest ride, but it's also not the roughest.
  20. All you had to do was watch the trailer to figure that out...
  21. No Reanimated was being an idiot, you don't lie down. I can't honestly recall going through a scene like that but I could be wrong.
