2 Theme Park Accidents (Monday 7th July 2014)
downunder196 replied to downunder196's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Good news! I read that Ninja will open overnight Australia time! -
Do we need a 'stupid things the GP have said' topic?
-
I love that it has a single rider line! That's one thing the Gold Coast parks are lacking. The amount of times the operator asks for one person to fill a seat, especially when they load gates after the trains have arrived/cycle has ended. It wastes time and adds to slow operations. Then half the operators don't even bother asking. I know MDMC and the rapids have single rider lines but they hardly count considering you need to basically be at the front to access them. I really hope this is a sign of things to come. Imagine if The Claw or SE had single rider lines?

Parkz News Sea World's Sea Viper closes after 32 years

They didn't plan on closing Sea Viper when they built Storm... -
Does anyone here share the opinion that just maybe with the introduction of Freestyle the two rides might decrease in price slightly to compete with each other? From memory the original Speed ride still travels but they made Speed 2 so they could cover more shows around Australia. I think but I'm not sure.

All the other dodgem cars are $8 which is still pretty ridiculous.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Freak Out basically a newer version of Hard Rock and what's the difference between Speed 2 and Freestyle?

Yeah but you come close to the railing as you pass under the Little Rippers. -
Doomsday - Potential New Tower Ride at Movie World

I think we'd get something along the lines of Apocalypse at SFMM (great ride) before we get the likes of a Rocky Mountain coaster -

They could fit a decent sized coaster on that land and the reclaimed area which was meant for Wild. Wishful thinking but still. -

I've never seen a soft style cycle with more than 10 people (it can have 24 people)... -

ridesims.com You need to make an account to use the sims that's the only thing. -

Go on ridesims.com, one of their simulators is the coaster. It shows the layout anyway, not on a satellite image but it shows it none the less (and you can operate it). -

So does that mean California isn't counted as being on the Pacific? Hate to break it to them but there are no orcas on the Spit... -
Dreamworld locomotives "were are they now"

It may have been something completely different, it was under the old chairlift building. -

Are those sheds visible from the Buzzsaw queue? I thought I saw one of the locomotives there the other day. -
With the EKKA beginning in Brisbane beginning in just over three weeks what rides do you think will be new and which won't make another appearance at this years show? Also, has been everyone's favourite ride there in the past (or any traveling ride in Australia)? Mine would be between Extreme Speed, XXXL and the Top Scan.

The splash down pool looks like it will be near the toilet/locker area beside Pipeline Plunge so the lift would be from a totally different angle. But they wouldn't have it for single or double tubes. I hope they put the path back through to the Temple of Huey but I'm not sure because it would probably mean crossing paths with people carrying rafts from the end of the slide.
