  1. I probably shouldn't have raved on about there not being any POVs, of course there are, I've seen them all at least twice. I was thinking of official POVs on their own YouTube channel or website, like Cedar Point's YouTube channel. What I've found on the Big3ThemeParks channel are videos about the "bubblegum besties" from camp orange and 20-30 second advertisement clips of the rides. I don't think it would be a bad idea to post a full length POV close before or after the ride's opening, so that we don't have to wait for someone like TPR to come through and do it for us.
  2. I hope we can see an official POV of this from testing or even from a media day. None of the Big 3 parks have any elaborate ride videos on YouTube. Superman had its edited video that showed parts of a POV, that is closest we've seen to an elaborate ride experience video. Why don't they put up full length official videos like other parks in the world, instead of making us watch the unofficial videos with people that sneak their phones onto the rides? Perhaps they believe showing the ride affects the overall experience, and it does, to a point. But I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing the ride before I ride it myself.
  3. Sea World has always continued to amaze me at the amount of actual thought they put into their attractions. Their instalments are rarely simple business trawlers, they compliment the nature of the park, even though as some have pointed out, this ride is quite ambitious comparatively. I'm still hell-excited to check this out when I'm up there in early November. They will soon have the same amount of conventional circuit roller coasters as Dreamworld, (being the MDMC, Escape From Madagascar and The Cyclone) none of which are particularly interesting. Not counting the ToT and BuzzSaw because they aren't proper coasters, though DWs investments in Shuttle/Low Capacity rides end up being the main thrilling attractions. Wouldn't it be nice if Dreamworld took a leap of faith and built a proper thrilling coaster to rival the likes of Superman Escape and Arkham Asylum? For now we're stuck with exciting, but short, snip-its of their rivals.
  4. Wouldn't mind seeing one, would be AUs first B&M. It is something Dreamworld is used to, cloned rides, but this time no one will know any better and the final product is competitive. But I can just imagine the generals complaining about them copying Arkham though, would be too funny.
  5. I agree entirely, Cyclone is fine, it just shouldn't be DW's claim for a proper circuit coaster. This is what the park lacks in terms of rides, they have enough flat rides and shittle coasters for the whole country. They really need to build a decent steel coaster, I don't think a woodie would quite cut it for the general public. I wouldn't mind seeing one, but it seems that the average parkgoer wouldn't even know that woodies were still being built. A Mega-Lite built in a nice simple forest setting wouldn't be stretching it too far would it? Dreamworld just seems to build fancy off the shelf shuttle/flat rides, then they will advertise the hell out of it, make their money back to pay for the owner's swimming pool. Sure they don't make as much money as other parks in the world, but their attitude to the whole gig isn't one that demands the best out of the park.
  6. Damn, shouldn't they really wait? I guess it is the downside of having the bit at the start.
  7. Slides already? Surely it makes sense to put them in after most of the park is done. Who knows for sure though?
  8. Wow, I saw this last time I was there. I made jokes about it being a roller coaster, now I know it actually is!
  9. From the main Forums page I read "Possible Universal Studios..." had my hopes up for a second. But yes! Please do share.
  10. That is true, but Dreamworld seriously needs to build a proper coaster, maybe something more realistic like an Intamin mega-lite would do. They just need something to compete with SE. No more flat rides or shittle coasters, we want to see something proper now. As a way of expressing my opinion, not that this is a good idea, but I wouldn't mind if they sold every ride at Whitewater world to make way for a proper coaster. As it is now, they just buy a cheap, crappy capacity ride, advertise the hell out of it and make a good buck to invest in their next business move and a beachfront home.
  11. DW needs a coaster most of all, they are called by many the best theme park in Australia, yet they don't have a real proper roller coaster. This needs to change soon. I reckon a massive B&M would really fit with the way Dreamworld is.
  12. Who could say no? With every park in the world, there are people who want more attractions. We should definitely want more because we like getting more stuff, it gives us things to talk about.
  13. My biggest problem with Dreamworld is that their main rides are not real roller coasters. Dreamworld needs a proper, long, circuit coaster and that's that. Something that is better than GD/ToT/BuzzSaw. Something that can be called their real "main attraction." Not some cheap 20 second ride.
  14. That is my outlook too. We can't be certain, but the best chances of another park will come from this park's success. One thing that confused me was from this drawing - https://majorproject...Drawings 11.pdf It refers to 3 stages, whereas in both the preliminary and finalised environmental assessment, it only refers to two stages. At first I was scared that the waterslides were coming afterwards, but it seems that the whole designed project will be constructed for the opening of the park. 15. The brakes that go over the crest of the drop seem like a place the car could get stuck, that was my first thought when I saw this, thankfully they were upright.
  16. I hope the theming is good. There's no point having an attraction with a dark section if the theming is rubbish.
  17. The reason rides have gone up so fast recently is because they have all been cheap, compact rides like the Buzzsaw and Green Lantern. This is a larger-scale project. With that said, we could see it up quite soon, but it wont be built as fast as the Green Lantern was after its announcement.
  18. I saw them send someone back to the lockers. Not sure if they had to go through the queue again because I was right behind them, and got on the ride after.
  19. But the massive graffiti was so good, now those walls are just bare, hopefully they implement an attraction into that courtyard area.
  20. It is usually quite empty in that whole area near the Arkham Asylum, It is a large space, but it doesn't lead to anywhere. It is more of a courtyard area. I reckon something could be put here.
  21. Haha I had it say they needed to be under 6 years old. A bit of a messed up survey if you ask me.
  22. Seems like from that poll, "Storm Chaser" is the way they're going.
  23. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDD the Funnel Web didn't open again. Maybe this morning?
  24. Movie World has turned more towards DC as an influence recently. Not saying a Looney Tunes attraction is impossible, but if it is to be a kids attraction, it should be something that is current. While the comics are outdated as well, the new movies are made with the same recognisable characters, characters that the children will relate with, even if they are too young to have seen the movies, there is a whole market for selling related products to kids who are too young to watch the movie. No matter how nostalgic a Looney Tunes Attraction would be, the only reason for building one is to fit with the theme of the area. MW is more likely to theme it to something modern, that the general audience (in this case kids) will relate with. I wonder if kids these days would know who Pepe le Pew is?
  25. Definitely more comfortable than it was, I was expecting with the audio to play music during the ride, but it was merely dialogue with some sound effects on the way up. It was good until the drop when it all cut out. The ride experience is more enjoyable though.
