  1. You'd require all of production to be set in that space during the broadcasts, plus many runs of fibre and so on to get back to the OB Trucks/Suites. Would be a huge mess having that area so far away from the rest of the production lot. Plus, it would most likely require changes that would prohibit it from running during park hours... You'd spend less money putting up a temp truss roof instead of trying to use that space.
  2. The park commented on a recent social media post saying:
  3. I really feel like this is a massive miss. The park is a hidden gem, which always has a high quality feel to it, this takes all of that away imo. The new logo feels so cheap and nasty, wouldn't be surprised if it was cooked up by ChatGPT. It also feels extremely confusing, with a different colour on each logo they've posted so far, just feels MESSY. If they want to be taken as a serious player in the game, ripping off one of the biggest players in the country really isn't the way to go about it.
  4. DCeased is in Intencity, the other 4 are up the back behind West. You can get to it through Wizard of Oz or West.
  5. These were non compliant fences, and can't be used.
  6. Most of the production will be done from purpose built OB trucks, which do not fit within the building anyway. Sure you will have spaces for the production team on the ground, most likely your camera department, and possibly some producers, but everything else will be from trucks.
  7. That was always a simple option, the fibre runs from the old house were far far longer. I think the part that was always in question was more the size of the building, and the free areas next to it. A production of this scale is going to require multiple OB trucks, ancillary buildings for production teams and so on. There isn't really any space for any of that around the DEC. It would've made far more sense to have had the house in the expansion plot next to WWW, all of the support around that space, with the live shows being held within the DEC space. It all feels very backwards.
  8. The main reason why this is the case, is actually due to the seatbelts locking pin. If a guest puts the clasp in incorrectly, doesn't fully latch and then removes it, the locking pin was potentially triggered and pushed up into place. That means that the clasp can't get past it, and lock into place. Only way to resolve that, is to reset, and start the process again.
  9. Well I guess we know where the canceled light rail funding is going.....
  10. Or... they've investigated the issue, now have to sit and wait for the manufacturer to sort it out. Meaning you now have more crew with nothing to do.
  11. When it first launched and for quite a few years after that, it would crash through a set of fake bricks, that formed a wall that hid the hole. Show Techs would have to rebuild this after every show.
  12. Containers for Change; I believe they then donate a portion of the funding back to the Sea World Foundation.
  13. All of the VRTP parks also have them.
  14. This space is not big enough for everything required either. It's not feasible to have all of the auxiliary production elements in the space around the DEC or Gold Coaster. They're also saying there will be a live audience again, so where would this be housed? October through December is also always FULL of corporate events which book that space.
  15. Kinda defeats the purpose of the embedded interactive map then, hey?
  16. Not sure where you're looking mate, but see screenshot... still showing the old map.
  17. and when we got it, it was just the old one....
  18. Pitty they haven't updated the actual Dreamworld map though.... still shows construction zones and dead end pathways.
