  1. Good catch Keegs. Some good info, once wading through the Metro influenced design... Interesting point for me, the Gold Season pass no longer mentions anything about an "early entry". In fact it explicitly says "no access outside of normal park hours".
  2. Looks great, thanks as always Julys and Gazza. It is really coming together now. Such a relief to see those conveyors on the family rides, I was dreading carrying those up the towers.
  3. Lots of great updates today, thanks everyone! Great to see some birdseye views on the slides.
  4. From a quick look the GC tower is 5 sets of stairs and this is 4 sets of stairs, so could be! Would need some hard stats to know better.
  5. Took the plunge anyway and picked up 2 passes. Bring on December!
  6. I have no doubt that I would squeeze the value out of that pass within the first few weeks! So I should stop any grumbling on price and value.
  7. That is true, I guess I am doing price comparison against the VIP pass for the gold coast parks - which is good value for money. On the parking it appears they are following the route of what they have done in the US - both Las Vegas and Arizona charge $5 for parking.
  8. Here we go boys and girls! Was doing some fishing around today and with no fanfare they have opened up some ticketing! http://www.wetnwildsydney.com.au/#purchasetickets T&C's - http://www.wetnwildsydney.com.au/terms-and-conditions.html The T&C's indicate a target opening date of December 14th. So as a summary, it appears there will be two season pass options a normal and a gold, with gold giving free parking and early entry. No detail on what those mean yet, since I expect that it is news that parking was not going to be "free" anyway! The season passes appear to be valid for December through to late April (Dates listed in T&C's have an error.. so who knows if this is an early version that has not been fully verified). No indication if the Gold passes are limited. I'm very keen.. but need more details before committing.. especially if its only a 4 month pass at that price. I've sent them an email to seek some clarification on a few points.
  9. Found a couple of tidbits on the net today - blooloop.com have a press release from Whitewater talking about two of the slide complexes - http://www.blooloop.com/ViewNews.aspx?ID=23008 On Flickr there is some shots of infrastructure that appears to be destined for WnW Sydney.. hard to tell, not sure what i'm looking at, see for yourself - http://www.flickr.com/photos/rideentertainmentgroup/9073142485/in/set-72157634187901305/
  10. The colour choices are bizarre.. no idea why they are mixing them this way. It looks like a mistake, none of the concept images mix colours, and it just looks wrong! A shame, because it is fantastic seeing it all come together and can't wait to ride!
  11. These guys have a small article about installing a timelapse camera, which will be used for advertising. A shot of the lazy river included! http://www.inceptiontimelapse.com.au/?p=2146 Also a nice new video from 9 news, again quoting the bogus "Largest water park in the world".. the PR team at Village must be loving it. Still a great video with shots of the slide pieces arriving and a great pan out of the entire site - http://video.au.msn.com/watch/video/sydney-s-wet-n-wild-to-be-world-s-biggest/x8g4sev?cpkey=a22ea8dd-32c1-4d9c-9aa4-cb38f9095af6%257c%257c%257c%257c
  12. Long time lurker, first time poster! I had recently read this article and it confirms that slide pieces were due onsite this week - http://www.blacktownsun.com.au/story/1268372/115-million-water-theme-park-work-on-schedule/?cs=1179
