  1. Still any news is good, and this may be legit... Have to find out!
  2. Woah... Some guy on YouTube just told me they're going to give Orphan another shot in the next 5 years??? I'll look into who he is and why he said it... http://youtube.com/watch?v=q-3pwvZWpUE Probably nothing, but I guess I should find out why he said that... Seemed a little pissed I blamed the council. Edit: Just looking at the other vids of the guy, seems like he could be involved at the place? It's all nature stuff... The Park's Ranger or animal expert??? Years with no news then some dude on YouTube responds to me saying it's their next major project amd seems like he knows his shit? Perhaps the real problem was the old ride-train and a modern coaster train(Kumbaks?) with a track refurbishment could see it finally open up? weird... This just came right out of the blue.
  3. Perhaps another attraction filling the rest of it next year? Or the following season?
  4. It appears to me from the cons photos, this section is partly on the old Ride Building.
  5. Seems to be a mix of that with the modern "WBKids-version Looney Tunes" typeface? Makes sense now....
  6. Given that WB remains full of Looney Tunes characters in one way, could this still have a Tunes theme despite not having the specific name? Like Bugs is your driving instructor or something? and it's the modern WBKids take on Bugs? I'm talking about from a "mini-main street" POV? and obviously the roving kids characters? The logo still reminds me of WB's cartoons, which is why I ask. Obviously some "characters" are to be involved. I'm just wondering if it does have a "Modern Tunes" theme after all?
  7. I think the grey section will be enclosed, or Dark as some people say, which is diffrent to the Sommerland one which is uncovered. I'm still excited for it. For once I got a "rumor" right... Themed to the Cyclonic activity of the region. I wonder if the queue will feature info about Cyclones like the Tower Of Terror features screens showing "daredevil stories"? The dark section is long enough to tell a specific story, likely the Queue will feature "Cyclonic stories" or perhaps a mixture of the main story and tales of legendary storms?
  8. Looks like that brown building in the pic is going to be what the Station or ride building looks like on the outside That's partly because that IS the Sommerland one, with some PhotoShop work!
  9. Definitely footers... And looks pretty big too? Nice. Looks like that big black V thing on the ground is where the station will be? Looks suspiciously like a Eurofighter to me.... Guess we have to wait and see when track starts showing up. Glad it's clearly not a Coaster type we already have in this country... I don't think anyone would like to see another Moto-coaster, one El Loco and Skyloop is enough(good rides, but I'd love to see a different one). The codename of the ride is Mi1 whatever that means(a ref to Mi5 or James Bond's Mi6? Eurofighter clue?). Perhaps this will have an espionage(Mi1 and "The Secret"?) theme???
  10. Wasn't Green Lantern only $8 Million? Really excited if it's more expensive than that! That coaster was a nice little addition to the parking lot...
  11. ??? Why would that be the name? Names are usually dropped in the Marketing campaign, eg Storm, but this obviously hasn't even started yet.
  12. I am actually AGREEING with you. Lol. Yeah, that's my point with the whole splashing the front riders point.... It's pretty important for a wet ride from the "interest/excitement" POV. Not communicating my point across well today... Can I still go back to lurking?
  13. Yeah but that was the original watercoaster so perhaps they put one in thinking they needed it, and the design was later improved. Your points are valid though. Definitely it's one of those "lets make sure the front guys are certain to get wet just in case the splashdown misses 'em" features. At least it's less obvious than the Jurrassic Park one!
  14. Roughly the same, I think. Superman was $17 Mill? and Scooby was about $10-$15? Someone else can confirm it? Edit: Just saw your username-pic.... Swing by and grab us a few pictures of the construction sometime if you can!
  15. Is it where the boat reconnects to the track? Could be... In which case it might need a hard push into place. Or a drop to disguise the bump! Being before the last lift, it could also be so it connects well with the conveyor... Or it could just be to ensure All the riders GET WET!!! We all know of a certain rapids wet ride where not all riders are ensured of being drenched, so this could be their design solution to that common wet-ride issue, like the Dino that sprays riders on the Jurassic Park rides.... Edit: Watching it again, It's obviously all three reasons!
  16. I'm guessing this is a major 12 million dollar rollercoaster? No name yet, but the site says "The Secret" so lets use that for now till the real name comes out. I'm officially going to Perth to finally visit Adventure World... Seems to be "catching up" to Dreamworld alot. Construction has apparently begun, or at least the parts have started arriving apparently. They're promising construction pics in a few days on their Facebook. Anyone live in WA could swing past and take a good look? P.S. I promise no silly "rumors" this time!
  17. Looks like it could be a little drop designed to give the boat a short burst of gravity-water driven speed as it enters the dark section, remembering that it will be gushing over with water and that tends to cushion drops a little. Pretty common on water rides.. There was one on Bermuda as well. obviously the boat will not be on-rails in this part, so that makes perfect sense. Might be that little kick needed to get through the floating section. Kinda like that first backwards drop on Wild West, which is also partly designed to give the boat the speed it needs. Also probably steeply designed so the boat splashes water.... EDIT: If you referred to that concrete block at the back, that is clearly incomplete construction. This section certainly looks like a traditional water ride "Kick" drop.
  18. How can you tell? The Atlantis ones over stateside use Vertical Lifts.
  19. I can't complain... I have a bad habit of hitting all the floor buttons on an elevator after I step out....
  20. Weird... I'm not the one causing problems this time around... Freaky!
  21. I wondering if some of the non-coaster section is going to be outdoors, like it only has a basic section inside(perhaps the station, Ride queue and the first Dark-part of the themeing) before having a section outside and a lift hill? Or not enough room for it? Perhaps the ride could have a lift like Scooby-doo or the Atlantis ones in the states(is there enough room?)? out of interest, What was the original plan for when they were going to put it in the Parking Lot in '07? Edit:Found it. Interesting comments you made back then about the Verticle Lift, Gazza... You don't think they might have decided to put one in? Perhaps you get sucked into "The Storm"(Themed part?), raised up(lift?) and flung out(Coaster?)?
