  1. Well if they are filming it must mean that it is finished. It must be opening within the next couple of days
  2. It may be because people who are taller than 196, their legs won't fit in, meaning the lap bar won't go down to its lock position
  3. Someone commented on sea worlds post saying it opens on Monday. We will have to see if this is true
  4. Sea World just released this time lapse and animation of the splash down of the ride:
  5. Someone commented on one of sea worlds post saying that they were told it would open within 2 weeks
  6. This is the way I look at it: Movie World: If you like thrill rides, super heroes or looney tunes you go here. Sea World: If you don't want many rides, but want a good day out to see all different creatures you go here. Dreamworld: If you haven't seen Australian Wildlife before and you also want rides for all ages you go here. Wet n Wild: You want to go to a water park with thrill rides and family rides you go here. White Water World: Want to go out for half a day and want a few family and thrill rides.
  7. i think there will be water spraying in the first part of the ride and then you obviously get wet in the splash down part. Then there will be the fire affects were a boat will be exploding, etc.
  8. They might announce it on December 1st When you load up Sea World's website the storm is the first thing shown. The info had been updated as well: Ride out the storm this December on an awesome new coaster that the whole family will enjoy. Hold on tight as you face a 20 metre wave on dry land. Can you brave an extraordinary fire while drenched in water? Be prepared to ride the perfect storm, without a single cloud!
  9. My bets are that it will be open within the next 2 weeks
  10. Some private schools holidays start tomorrow, the rest are next week and all state schools in Queensland finish the following week.
  11. Super Tube Hudro Coaster - The uphill magnets failed Green Lantern - It didn't move at all TOT2 - Didn't launch Arkham Asylum - We couldn't get out our seats
  12. Well it's very early December and it's just before queensland school holidays start. It's not really based on anything, it's just my opinion.
  13. I agree. I think it is great that Sea World have got a ride that has not been seen in Australia before. I am sure that i will be pretty good ride. Sea World have tried to put in as much effort and theming within the ride as possible. I am sure theming will not be perfect, but people can expect to have rides like America and Europe does. Yes, Sea World may be advertising this the wrong way, but you just need to overlook that. I don't have any expectations for this ride. It will be what it is. It will be a great family ride, with what seems like many special effects. Don't compare it to Bermuda Triangle. It is a totally different ride. Sea World obviously believed it was time for something new. It will be a great new attraction. People can't judge the ride until they have been on it. Sea World may add theming over time. Just wait and see.
  14. Usually within the first weeks of the year
  15. I also think that the whole area should have been submitted in water, just like Bermuda Triangle was. It would have been good if it is and if there is water spraying as you walked through the queue line. I don't see the purpose of having gravel. They may fill it with water later, but I don't see the point in waiting.
  16. They still may have some tricks up their sleeves for this ride. Maybe some boats will have water squirting out of them. We will just have to see once it opens
  17. More theming in place. Source: The Theme Park Social Network.
  18. Oh i didn't know HSD was still on. Well that's just so more guests can watch a show during the holidays when it's busy
  19. I reckon movie world have let the staff of the stunt driver show have a break of the summer, so be having this show it allows this to happen.
  20. The flume is closed for a few days so they must be making a few more major touch ups
  21. The show will run for a limited time only, from this Friday until 25 January 2014.
  22. We don't know when it will open, but attractions that open in December usually open a week or two before Christmas then officially open on Boxing Day. Rides which are being tested for the first time usually open a month after.
